Also, how are you planning to execute the situations? Do they happen every day phase or on some day phase only?

I... was going to have a revival ability in my game. It made sense with the background of the character, and everything! Though, the precise ability is, potentially, game-breaking. So, um, scrap that idea, huh?

I was planning on explaining about situation as part of the sign-up/rules-set thread. However, to answer your question more directly, one would be chosen at the beginning of each Day Phase.

So I have another idea for a mafia game I want to host, although in the distant future, it'll be about Greek gods. I guess I'll call it 'The Mafia of Mount Olympus'

I think the only topic that you guys probably check out are the "What Are You Thinking?" thread (which there are usually people posting on that so it wouldn't go down at least), and probably the "FF Forum RPG" (for some of you) and "What Are You Jamming?". I really doubt anyone's gonna make a new topic that last, say, 2-3 weeks(?) in Welp, Welp!.

Also if you look at the "latest posts" section, Welp, Welp! is only 1 part of it. And, er, if you wanna see comments on gamepages and stuffs, aren't you supposed to look at the General Discussion/Game Development sections??

Edit: But I do get MrChearlie's point. It could get p. annoying to the people who don't play, but, eh, we want our fun in the forum too y'know.

I'm pretty sure every post shows up in latest posts. I suggested it before that some things shouldn't show up in the latest posts for this very reason. Silly non-game related things drowning out the target activity.

haha I wouldn't make any generalizations about what topics people are looking at.

I don't click on the Forum link and go into each section to see new threads. I only look at the Latest Posts section to see what's going on, the pulse of RMN. It shows 13 pages of posts and it used to contain several days worth of activity. Now all the mafia posts are pushing that stuff outta there.

Anyways, the forums are not what I'm interested in. The Latest Posts section shows what blogs, images, and gamepages are being discussed. Do you really expect me to browse through all the games to see what people are talking about?

I don't think gamepage activity shows up in any forum(correct me if I'm wrong). So I'm not sure what you're talking about here. Gamepage and Forum are two separate entities, but unfortunately they share the same roads.

Isn't there Mafia forums somewhere? I get "we're just having fun" but you're on a site about Indie Games. It seems...inappropriate to me, to flood it with so much nonsense when it directly affects legitimate activity.

This wouldn't be a problem if there was some kind of way to separate gamepage activity from forum activity. If I had some kind of filter where I could choose what forum topics are invisible to me, like the ignore list. Or if there was a Latest Posts for gamepages, and a separate one for forum topics.

I would also like to add that I'm not trying to get you to stop. I'm just stating that this annoys me and explaining why. Do whatever you want.
