MAFIA HOSTS THREAD
Posts
Ladies and Gentlemen: final date for the start of RMN Fantasy Vanilla Mafia: Immediately after Mafia of the Olympus ends!!!
@chana: I'll host it here :)
Also, heads up, because IRC mafia is coming soon! It won't be in this thread, but I'll try and make it so it doesn't clash with anyone else's.
The good news: It only lasts 30min-2hrs. :)

As I said, in the topic inside MafiaRMN, People can make mafia in here, I just create it in case someone else would wanted to take it outside of rmn like jeroen did to quicktopic, so I don't find any trouble in that, I just want to avoid a quicktopic for mafia :/ also, you should held your IRC Mafia Topic in the mafia net tbg ;) like schedules and things like that.
There will be some trouble to get the people in chat because:
1)Different timezones, hard to find a time that everyone will be free.
2)Not everyone goes to chat.

I will leave this here http://mafiarmn.activeboard.com/t50367604/mafia-rmn/
It looks promising. Thing is, I'm seeing people say that they'd rather host here. Whither or not this is a "problem"? I don't even know anymore.
*Edit: On the other hand, it seems such a waste for MrChearlie to have found that, and not use it.
I don't see any problem in hosting the games there. A better choice than QT, in any case, since it would actually be readable and we wouldn't have a case of one player trying to impersonate another (really?????)
Right. There's a waiting list here, so if you wanted to host a game off of RMN right away then use Chearlie's forum, I guess. You can use this thread to link us to the signups.
Yeah, let's use Chearlie's one for future games. Both the wolves have eaten much and the sheep have not been touched.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

Here's an idea for a future game. I wouldn't know how to execute something like it, and frankly, after Olympus, I'll be done with hosting for a while, but perhaps someone can use it?
I was thinking of three armies, the reds, greens and blues, who try to claim a piece of land in a central area inbetween their kingdoms. All armies have to eradicate the other two to win.
I dunno if something like that can be done, but something that uses 3 alignments could make for an interesting game...

It's not uncommon to have multiple alignments like that, although you have to be very careful with balancing so that teams that get crippled can still bounce back.
One setup I've seen that I've liked had five teams, each team also being unconfirmed masons withs randomly assigned traitors, teams perhaps having more traitors than others. the town collectively won if all traitors were eliminated, however, any team that made a successful kill action or had the most votes on a traitor that got lynched got a point. if a team got three points, they would prematurely win the game.

Cave/Jeroen:
If a game has multiple alignments like that, wouldn't it only be suited for big players? I mean, it's not everytime that we can get 15~16 players...

Yeah, I guess it would... Then again, I myself know some people who like these kind of games, and I'm guessing everyone else does too. I mean, if everyone can convince 1 friend to join, we'll already have 25-30 players.
