DOCTER MAFIA: STOP THOSE SNATCHER SCUM!
Posts
Knew I forgot something.
" the mafia can pick and choose their targets and make themselves seem innocent by carefully deducing who to frame."
Relax girl. Deducing who to frame just means that they'll need to post more to do that. We could very well benefit from it so it's a win-win actually.
Hmm I'm thinking whether to use night 2's plan on night 1 or not. Decisions decisions...

I come up with the idea of the chain u.u', don't keep all the credit for you Ivory. Well... As I have said, the problem with A>B, B>C, C>D etc... is that scum can take place, but I think that withouth scum doctors if we can call it like that it is more easy to predict who kill who if everybody knew who was protecting who. So maybe will not work at all to discover roles but will do for finding mafia.
So plans for the first two nights are:
First night, protect selves - this will most likely give us something to work off and hopefully take out the CPR and Insane doctors (people keep forgetting that Insane doctors are killers too)
Second night, protect chain - this will give an established list of who we had to protect. The only issue I see with this is that Mafia might leave their intended victims alone and go after someone else's to try and frame someone. They could say that they protected their people (and how could we prove otherwise?) and if lucky, take out someone else's protector. Of course, this would give us some information, but depending on how first night and second day goes, we might have lost up to three/four (depends if we lynch second day, which is actually a bad idea.*) town.
*We shouldn't lynch anyone until we're pretty sure we have a scum. That is, no-lynching helps town more than lynching does - we have five days to find the culprits. If we skip the first two days of lynching, that leaves us three days to do so (and two mafia) and by then we'll hopefully have a lot more information. Deaths during night phase should slow down after we've weeded out the killing-docs, so we don't have too much to worry about when it comes to night kills because, hey, most of us should be protected. (Sadly, we'd still have the naive, Odds and Evens doctors who don't work at all/all the time, but there's not much we can do about that and the mafia have as much chance as knowing which is which as the rest of us do.)

I already tell that point Liberty, but it would give some information, rather than protect ourselves all days. See,
Night 1, if we take insane and CPR, in which CPR is more dangerous than insane (and got for sure that paranoic is going to be absent tommorrow.
Night 2 we do the chain plan
Doc1>Doc2, Doc2>Doc3, Doc3>Scum1, Scum1>Doc4, Doc4>Scum2 at it goes back to Doc1.
In that case all the docs that are defending docs and protect by another doc would be safe, the problem that I have been saying is that scum will say they are townie and that way the would know who they can kill knowing who isn't protected. So if someone dies, we would go after the one who should protect that person, So, so far, it is not the best plan but is the best we have now. Although I start thinking there is now way to go safe without people dying.

And I'm saying that if someone is killed, it's most likely that mafia didn't kill the person they were supposed to protect because it would make them seem guilty. Thus, they would try to go after someone else's character and frame them for the death.
If they hit the ones being protected by the Odd, Naive or Bodyguard, that would lead to a death. So it would seem that the ones charged with protecting those people were guilty when in fact, mafia gave them the slip.
For example:
Doc 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
1 - Naive, 2 - Bodyguard, 3 - Odd, 4 - Mafia, 5 - Normal
So: 1>2, 2>3, 3>4, 4>5, 5>1
But, instead of mafia protecting the normal doctor, 4 decides to attack 2.
This leaves 5 alive, but it kills off 2 because Naive doesn't protect shit. The next day comes and we all gang up on 1 because we think s/he's Mafia, meanwhile 4 is laughing up his/her sleeve because we end up lynching a fellow townie.
Does that make more sense?

I've already said that the scum who tries to stray away from -our- plan and go after other doctors will try to post so they could frame people, I mean, how could they frame us if they don't post at all?? It's not like we're entirely relying on our night results as I've said before, we need to analyze the players' posts too.
Obviously, but they can easily claim to have protected the person that they were given to protect and the proof would be that that person is still alive. Just because they frame someone at night doesn't mean that they won't be posting, pointing towards the person who died and was supposed to be protected by the other person, acting townie.
Nothing's changed there. But Chearlie was saying that the person who failed to protect someone would be considered mafia and I just pointed out that might not be exactly the case.

well, we shouldn't go against the one who fail protecting like to forced, but just being suspicious of. Also, if mafia doesn't goes for the ones they have to protect the would have to gues, so all relies on having faith, and as I said, We don't have anything better, this way we can discover who is mafia, naive or even doctor in case mafia kills somebody, but it they don't kill anyone we stay as equal as know. So for that then, if mafia decides to kill on night 2 and does it succesfull we would have already discover the paranoic, the CPR (I don't think Mafia would guess it right at the first day) and would have guess of who can be useless or mafia. That is better than knowing nothing (well, the paranoic and CPR I really think we will find tonight) So, As for now is the best we have, if you have another better idea Liberty I would be glad to read.
Not saying I have a better plan, just pointing out the faults in this one so that we're aware of them and don't get caught out by conniving Mafia.
Now, one idea I had, which unfortunately won't work (>.<; ) was that of a list one person made up and kept secret of who is protecting whom. The names would be given out secretly so that everyone was covered, but none but the list holder would know who had whom, so it'd be harder for mafia to mess with results. Unfortunately, being unable to converse out of topic, there's no way for us to do this, so it's a bung idea.

Their claims don't mean crap because they're bound to kill the naive/odd/even sooner or later by the time they've figured it out. Faulty night 2 plan but still better than nothing.
Still wondering whether to use anti-clockwise pattern for night 3 or just protect ourselves... :S

Randomly assigned?
Random generator with the names of those still alive in it and go from there. But that's still a while away. We should concern ourselves with the first two days and the information gained in them first.

can you type a long and elaborate example of the random thingy and what variables there would be if we would put that in use thanks in advance

no no no no i mean what would happen if we protect each other randomly how could we know who's mafia if theyre not protecting in the 'correct order'

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

Also, who's to say this randomly generated list is not made by a scum, carefully making sure they can kill their target?
