Let us turn to google for the definition of what constitutes a "job" and "work".
Job: A paid position of regular employment.
Work: Activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result.
By those definitions I would say that not only is pornography a job but so is prostitution. Just because the job in question is not right by someone's moral standards does not make the work any less legitimate.

Pornography and prostitution are both just jobs. The latter being actually one of the first jobs in human history. Though I have to add I wouldn't go for both job carreers, but still, they are just jobs.
Getting paid to do something pornographic isn't going to hurt anyone. Prostitution should be legal for the same reason alcohol is. And while we're at it, drugs should be legal too.
And was the Porn Star talking about porn to the children? If the answer is "no," then there's nothing wrong with it. What? Because she's a "porn star" that makes her immoral and unfit to teach children? LoL, all humans are animals. I'm sorry, but that's a bullshit reason to flame her for what she does.

I don't know. I guess if you go by the layman's definition of a 'job' then it's true, but isn't there a legal definition of what a job can be? It feels like there should be one. And in my book, 'legal' triumphs everything else. I don't care what joe nobody may say...
Anyway, pornography is on the safe side as far as I'm imformed, since it's supposed to be fully consensual and strictly regulated. I wouldn't be so sure about prostitution, though, at least not yet, not anywhere in the world... Tricky subject, that one. xP
As for the picture. Heh; She looks quite happy reading to the children, so I see no problem with it. But more to the point, reading her wikipedia article, shes is not even a porn actress anymore, she's just a regular entertainer. Even by goggling her (I did this purely for research purposes, I swear!) with the safe search on, which any responsible parent will have at home, you get no different results from those you'd get from any other celebrity, so unless the kids can read minds or something, I really don't see the problem with it.

Hey, c'mon man. I have thought about it before but just never spoke out about it. I don't live in a community were you have open discussions about these things, and even my friends to whom i can talk to about this is completely one sided and so that does not help.
I just feel differently about this at different times, sometimes its feels okay and sometimes it does not, so i just wanted point of views from a world wide community. Having conflicting feelings about this is just as annoying as having conflicting feelings about anything else, I just want to come to a firm decision.
Mostly importantly I am so sorry for hurting anyone, really.

You're getting a lot of flack because for some reason people can't post without being vitriolic ever, but the core of the issue here is that you sound like you have some weird hangups about sex.
Well, there is the case were a couple could record themselves and upload it to the internet for free, in this case is neither a job or prostitution. And well, I have always being a little against it, because... what if they get a disease just for getting money despite of all the preventive methods... that has always worried me. but I guess it is the same as drugs or alcohol in the end.
