My name is Tim, I'm 31 (arrrgh really?...) and I'm a video games designer (...phew, ok, I can be 18 forever) who works at Sumo Digital in Sheffield, UK. (The games I've previously workeed on is here: shallweplayagame.net)
I used RPG Maker...er...2000? Waaaay back in the day at Uni, and I recently bought RPGMaker VX Ace through that Steam sale that was on a few weeks ago. I'm enjoying messing around with it lots (I get pretty obsessed with scripting events, enemies, abilities, troops...but am ruuuubbish at making tilesets hehe) ...so I thought I'd actually registeer here and say hi!
So, can anyone recommend some particularly awesome stuff that's been made in RPG Maker in, oh, the last 10 years? :)
I'm just downloading Lamia Nox, Hero's Realm and Alter Aila Genesis atm.

Hey there! Welcome to the site. It's always great to get some older makers around here (I'm the big 30 myself), especially those who know their way around the RMs.
If you want to check out some of the better games on the site, check for anything rated 4-5 stars under the full Games List or the Featured games area. They have the best of the best! (Though new ones don't get there until after a while, but still!)

I'll totally say for you to play Beautiful Escape: Dungeoneer and be dazzled and awestuck at the kinds of beautiful games possible on RM lalala

I would recommend the Befuddle Quest series.
