ahh, I can't afford it or the trial offers... you know what forget it. This is more trouble than its worth I'm going with a premade character.
I was going to make this anyway, so I'll take the Human Wizard.... but could you change the name from Raistin Majere to Alianarra Chem-Shemar? Thats what I named mine.
EDIT: DANG! I just tried opening the PDF of the premade and its blank! an you fix that?

author=Quiversee link=topic=1335.msg24101#msg24101 date=1216266748How can you not afford FoxIt? It's free....and less resource-intensive than Adobe, which is the main reason I use it.

There's no need for headache with Foxit, go here: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/downloads/
Shadowtext: Yeah, I'm sure mine will be filled with errors too. It'll be a learning experience for all of us :P

I got a link that worked from there and the PDFs all work fine.
Thanks GRS, and sorry its been a bad day with my machine today. I'll make the sheet and send it ASAP.

Alright, here's my character sheet, completely lacking in any sort of actual character and more numbers and feats 'n whatnot. I'm a bit burnt out so I'll try to get an actual name (I'm not using Bob McGills) and background for tomorrow.

At first I thought those were modifiers, and I did a doubletake when I saw "+9."
That -1 on Intelligence is going to be fun, though. You playing him as a Toblerone? :D

Ok good news. I got a friend of mine involved in this. He's registering for an account here as we speak!
I have bad news my good friend has planned to have his birthday party on the night of the 18th to take me and some other people to see the Dark Knight. I feel like a total jerk for having to cancel our first game. I'm so sorry I did so studying on DnD and now have a basic handling on things. I'm sorry and I wish you guys luck on the first game.
I just sent in Alianarra Chem-Shemar, an Eladrin Wizard, to Shadowtext. Here's his stats using the Standard Array.
STR: 10
DEX: 16 (+2 from Eladrin)
CON: 13
INT: 18 (+2 from Eladrin)
WIS: 12
CHA: 11
Here he is!
EDIT: Ok, after all this fuss I have hit one last snag. Maptool cannot connect to the internet properly. I cannot be seen when hosting a server and I cannot connect to another's server, even one hosted from the same router! It says it may be a port forwarding issue, and I followed the instrucions on how to fix it 100%. Still nothing. Does anyone involved in this know how to fix this?
If it helps, my router is a WRT54G2 Linksys wireless router.

WRT54G2s....I belive that's the same model as mine, which is good because those work with DD-WRT. If you don't have DD-WRT you should totally look into it--turns a $60 router into a $600 router, as Lifehacker puts it.
But putting that aside for a minute, you've set up port forwarding the way they said to? Have you made sure your computer's using a static internal IP, like 192.168.1.100? My port forwarding table looks like the port for MapTool is 51234. I don't remember setting that, but I'll take my router's word for it. I think it learns things while I'm sleeping. Sinister things.

that IP and pport number are exactly the same as mine. Also I'll definately look into DD-WRT thanks for that.
Also, did you get my character sheet in your e-mail? I want to make sure that what Gaunt and I are trying is ok.

Ok good news! I got the test connection to work in Maptool! And I can join servers too just tried it out!
For some reason the port numbers I forwarded got changed.

Alright, here's Wayne Kane's character sheet. Fixed a mistake or two, gave a name + personality and whatnot.
Yeah, it'll be on at 8:00 CST tonight as planned. I'm trying to line up someone to play a Cleric since no one decided to (including Nick, who won't be here tonight, we've got a Wizard, Rogue, Fighter and Ranger). A cleric is sort of important to the story so I'll have to make it an NPC for now if I can't find someone, but I'd prefer not to do that....I'd prefer major story players to be....players.
