SUIKODEN MAFIA [GAME ON, PEEPS]

There's roughly 52 hours to go before Day 0 ends.
We are playing Plurality so whoever has the highest votes by that time will be lynched.
I think Liberty just answered my question (I submitted my post before I saw hers XD)
The second. When the day ends, whoever is in the lead is lynched. Though... if someone has everyone vote against them I'm happy to count that as a hammer vote because "holy shit how the fuck did you manage that at this stage of the game?!"

I am now certain that you are not scum and are just town trying to play scum as hard as possible.

Also have we just come to the consensus that YM is not the assassin? Because of the time thing?
I'd actually like to hear some arguments for- and against this viewpoint. I'm inclined to say yes (for now) but there is alwas te 'fog-of-war' issue with making meta-calls.
Anyway, Imagined a world where a Yellow Magic is a vanilla (or a power role). We know that marrend was a vanilla.
That means that that liberty finished balancing this as an 18-player game, to the point where she was confident enough to roll out the PM's and make everything definitive... and then added two vanilla townies and completely upset the balance.
I can't help but think that Liberty would want Liberty would want to balance out the benefit of the extra town players. Going by her earlier posts, she seems to be invested in fine-tuning this game's balance. Again, possibly a town-alligned handicap role? Does Liberty have any of such roles that she's used in previous games?
It's also possible that the balancing factor to adding the extra townies is inherent in her game design. In other words, having two extra townies hurts town nearly as much as much as it hurts the assassin, since the assassin can use them as a cover.
The more townies there are in the game, the less likely it is that we catch the assassin with our lynches, and them more chanses they get to kill the Tenkai.
Am I making sense right now?

Oh, I just read Liberty's response, so my previous posts can pretty much be ignored entirely orz
Well... that's probably for the best since abusing the PM timing is kind of a cheesy stratagy ^^" yeah, I'm sorry.

I would like to point out that when YM and the other 'supposedly late' people jumped on, I was still sending PMs out (and stopped doing that in order to grab extra characters... which I then mixed around again with the ones I hadn't sent out yet) so... you know, you can't really know at aaaaaaaaall.
:DDDD

Yep, though since there are more townies, it will be harder for the assassin to find the Tenkai, at least. Though, the more players there are the longer the assassin has to figure out who the Tenkai star is...

Exactly.
I'm really curious to see how Liberty utilized this balance with the role interactions, both to learn from it myself, and because I want to win xD

Plus there's gotta be at least 1 independent thrown into the mix to make everything trickier for everyone in a game this size.

I agree, that seems likely. What do you think the indie's win condition would be? It really couldn't be the traditional one of 'you win when there is only 1 other player left' because that would require the independant to kill 18 other people...
Could be that they want to just stay alive until the end of the fenstival? Or they want to stay alive plus kill the Tenkai, or the assassin, or both.
I'm keeping a lot of notes so as to show you lot after the game ends, so you'll have that as a resource.

Cool! I'll be looking forward to reading that ^^
I think just staying alive through out the festival would be a bit too vanilla. Maybe with some other condition added on like you said, such as killing the Tenkai or the Assassin. Or like maybe if town lynches the Tenkai they win?
It could maybe be that its power specific and involves completing some sort of power based task???
And there's always the possibility of a jester.

A jester seems like a pretty logical role to add in this game, but so far nobody has acted very jester-like.
Well, hello again everybody!
Man! A lot happened here while I was out!
Okay, I really don't know what to think. I'm still wary of CAVE_DOG, but giving the posts of other players and that I still don't have enough leads to lynch him, it's pretty hard to decide. I mean, we're like 18 players, and because of that, there's more chances that we end up lynching a town, or even the TENKAI instead of an independent or the assassin. In conclusion...
...I guess I'll just keep watching and see where this goes...

The more I hear about the jester role, the less I like it. It hurts the town, and it pretty much makes the player act like a bad player to win. It doesn't help that there are plenty of people still learning how to play who are liable to act like that anyways, not to mention more wild-card type players like Cave Dog and possibly Sooz who could be confused for jesters.
A Jester's win objective is to be lynched during the day. Meaning that they will do their best to look scummy and get themselves lynched by town. Meaning that their entire purpose is to make town lynch someone who isn't mafia (because a Jester is never mafia, of course). Though this role is almost never used and I've never seen it used myself so I kinda doubt there's one in this game. Guess there could be one though!
