NOMIC: GAME THREAD

I don't care when you begin voting, I don't like the base concept so I'm gonna vote nay anyway...

Well fine, fuck you guys. Let's just play the same boring game for 20 rounds without shaking anything up. :P (in case it wasn't clear, I am kidding here)

Voting opens. Obviously I vote yea.

I'm not sure why you'd prefer it rounded up to the closest whole number with a minimum of 10. It's already 10 at minimum by the wording of the proposal and I didn't want anyone to have more than 40 Makerscore initially (which is why I divided by 100)

Because it's more fun with like oddish numbers. Numbers like 13, 28 and 33 are more exciting than 10, 20 and 30 because that's just how it is.
Nay.

Also,it's not that we don't want things spiced up, it's just that the system seems overcomplicated.

It's basically just another number system that isn't points; if that's too complicated for you, you're possibly playing the wrong game. ;)

I actually made a huge oversight with this proposal: in my endeavour to make sure it was worded in a way that couldn't possibly be abused, I totally forgot I had intended to have players gain Makerscore for making proposals and voting on them.

The overcomplication might be that it's essentially a second points system introduced. Anything that could be done with makerscore could also be done with just the regular points. ("pay points to do x")

In a way this points system is sort of redundant. I guess. maybe? Though the initial "free" points opens up a market for actually spending, since we're not getting "real" points at a fast enough rate to waste them :)

Shinan, LockeZ, meustrus and DrOctopus still to vote.
I still have my reservations but it should be weird if nothing else. Yea.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

What the hell. I vote yea.

Woo!

Just waiting on Shinan and Doc Ock.
So this is where it passes right? So I can vote nay and get my ten points rather than the eight or so I'd get for voting yay. (nay)

Though I want this to pass :)

It has enough votes to pass, so if you really want to you can vote nay and get your 10 points.
I'm voting yea on this. It looks like it could shake things up a little bit. My impressively strong Makerscore(TM) will finally come to something good!
I voted nay in that last post. I guess it wasn't super clear.

Yeah, I got that. I'll update in a bit.
Note that with the change in the rule before voting started, those with high RMN makerscore don't get to keep theirs. Everyone just chooses a player to give theirs to.
Ah yeah, I didn't notice that actually, but it is true. That means that there might be people who end up with 0 Makerscore in the end so that's a bit unfortunate if it was to be a currency that you use.

Again, Shinan, the "round up to the nearest 10" part means everyone will have at least 10 Makerscore to begin with.

Proposal 306 passes!

Points for this proposal are 306 - 291 = 15 * 0.66 = 9.9 (10)

In accordance with rule 305, Trihan gains 20 points. All other players gain 10 points each regardless of whether they voted for or against.

With immediate effect, the following Makerscore pools must be distributed:

DrOctopus: 0 / 100 rounded = 10
LockeZ: 3143 / 100 rounded = 40
meustrus: 30 / 100 rounded = 10
Shinan: 3797 / 100 rounded = 40
TangledLion: 80 / 100 rounded = 10
Trihan: 1319 / 100 rounded = 20

I give my 20 Makerscore to meustrus.
Not really. I think?
Once each player has calculated their Makerscore allotment, they must nominate one OTHER player to receive their Makerscore.

The wording suggests that the points you get you have to give away. So if someone doesn't get any points from another player that player starts with 0 points.

Good point, I hadn't actually thought of that. Oh well, once we actually have other ways of gaining Makerscore it shouldn't matter too much.
