We get a lot of great games on the site and I try to bring attention to them via the Writing spot on the front page - mainly through blog posts and reviews.
Sometimes we get so many great games that it's hard to pick just one, and sometimes the blog posts that we get are picture-heavy but writing-light, meaning they don't make for very good Writing Spots, even though I'd love to show them off! So I figured I'd do something different today - I'm going to pop a list of cool blogs here and you guys go check them out, okay?
They're a bit light on written content but they deserve some lovin'.

Now, there is one thing I'd like to talk about when it comes to blogs and videos. A lot of the time I'll do RMN TV before the Writing spot and I'll search through the Media posts for something to show. I've noticed that sometimes, when looking for Writing Spot items, people post their trailers in blogs and eschew posting them in Media. This means I might overlook a promising video. So. If you do have a video you'd like to be spotlighted, consider posting it in the media section instead of/as well as your blog section. I am far more likely to notice it among the other videos and more likely to pick it out of there than anywhere else.
Just a note.
Let me know if you'd like more round-up type things like this in place of the What's Written spotlight every now and then - probably only every few months or so, if that. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask. But yeah, go give those links some lovin'!

Not gonna lie: the title of this thread made me think you were about to leave RMN.
So it's more like RMNTV Blog instead of What's Written? I can get behind this if it were to become a constant thing. But with so many blogs coming out constantly, it'd be pretty easy to miss some. Are you going to look for all of these yourself? Or maybe we can set it up similar to Pic of the Moment or Featured Game where we all make suggestions?

No, I already look through all blogs, articles, tutorials and reviews each week for the What's Written spot on the front page. I find that there are a lot of great ones that wouldn't actually count for Written since they're usually just images and a few words so I figured this week I'd do this instead. That way more than one or two get a spotlight.
This wouldn't be a regular thing - just every couple of months, maybe, and would be in place of the usual What's Written spot to bring a spotlight to a couple of games instead of just the one or two for that week.

I've always kinda wondered what the Media section was for, since it was a mix of player-submitted stuff like fan art, and promo stuff like videos. But that's good to know!

I thought we were in trouble for spamming one liner blogs.
Nah, people have been really good about that lately. Seems to be only announcements of Demo releases do that, but only few and far between. For the most part people are writing at least a few lines in their blogs and as far as I have seen, no spamming has been occurring. ^.^)b

So i just make more picture and video in my blogs.
