CloseI'm with Max on this one Nightblade. While I love the concept and how you pulled it off, I think the map ruins it for me. It kind of breaks the atmosphere of your game with the lack of detail and color. I don't know what you could do, though. There aren't many maps out there you could grab that give any room to do what you want. And I hate to give criticism to something you're sort of stuck with, but maybe someone out there could help you out.
Don't spend too much time on it, though. If that's all you've got to work with, then keep it.

Well I've always sucked at mapping in RPG Maker 2003 ... and now in VX, its even worse
In RPG Maker i used to just steal maps from other people's games ... just copy and past, but with VX that's not possible anymore :P
Here is the first map I made on VX:

Over the few months I've had VX ... I've noticed that you cannot steal maps from others, because the projects are encrypted -_-
So I just said what the hell ... If i can't steal and I no one is going to map for me ... then i gotta do it myself
Here is the newest map i made: (All by myself! I feel so proud)
But dam does mapping yourself take a long time!
Doing it from scratch took me a few hours, its annoying ... but atleast i can call it my own and stop stealing from others :P
I know it is not perfect, so i posted it here to ask what I'm doing right / wrong

I added color and detail to the map. As the early area is a desert area, I couldn't really add trees.

Mapping in VX sure does take getting used to though geez ...
Rasta: It took me ages to get used to VX, but your map is really awesome, keep at it. You should never copy maps, steal mapping ideas, but not that actual map itself xD

Wow! The map in the bottom right corner looks sick! ... I dunno if its the screen tone or what but it looks WAY different from the one to the left of it (Assuming that they are the same map)
Screw RTP, screw ATB, screw realistic mapping, screw the English language and screw the fact that I haven't bothered to add damage.floor lines to Game_Battler:

No idea if continuar is a spanish verb, but it IS a brazilian verb :)
Anyway, I like the part with a plant and robot along, specially the plant since no matter how much I love robots, plants are hare in RPGs :P

Looks great, Craze. I'm still not very familiar w/VX, but by your screens, your game looks a little more distinguishable than a lot of other VX games out now. Especially the custom (you made them, yeah?) monsters in battle, very cute. Seems like an enjoyable game that doesn't take itself too seriously ... I like :)
Craze, that looks deliciously insane and completely different from your other projects, which is what I've come to expect from you.

Hell yes, VX sci-fi game! Love the screenies :D Though the map with a photo looks a bit off and the ship front doesn´t look much like a ship front IMO. Though for that I believe you are tied by your resources...
