Well, I am learnig some basic scripting... and here's a basic screenie... I have weird NPCs.

*smiles* Then it's not the crappiest map on the planet then? Whew, I thought I had been stabbed with the knife of disapproval.
@Suzuricho: Mapping really isn't all that important, its a more of a feature than a main component. So if you aren't good at it, it doesn't matter, despite how everyone acts when they see a well mapped game, It's all in the gameplay.
I've been really learning to make CMS and I'm getting the hang of it (it's really NOT my area). I wouldn't say it's overly impressive but it's passable. It's not finished quite yet (I started it today), the cursor works and switches between characters but the not all the numbers work yet.

LWG- The menu itself looks somewhat generic, but I love the icons for the elements. Are those custom? And do the different pattern things on them have meaning (like, some of them just have wings, or others have a head/body, those)?

I'm aware of it's generic look, I'm just aiming function over design, especially since I'm fairly new at this >_<.
I think the icons are from Romancing SaGa 3 (not 100% sure) just something I picked up ages ago. The icons were supposed to be all different, but I kinda ran out...perhaps I should do something with that, maybe show the rarity of the element or something.

I WATCHED YOUR VIDEO, CRAZE.
It is very nifty but it is also sort of a conflagration of conflicting tone; post-apocalyptic nightmare hell wasteland + RTP + whacky joke-riddled item names and in game text + serious dialogue + D&D skill names equals....I have no idea if this is trying to be silly or serious or lighthearted or absurd or all things to all people.
Obviously the battles have undergone an IMPRESSIVE DEGREE OF CUSTOMIZATION. But who would expect less from you? Your characters have neat skills but they have very few skills and as a result they use the same ones over and over and over and over...emde2! had the same problem.
I think the side-view CBS would look WAY WAY WAY better with battle backgrounds, though. The abstraction of the RMVX "Swirl" really isn't working for me when your characters are just kind of standing on the swirl. Your music is completely insane and your guys' battle animations are awesome. Did you do them yourself?
