YAMI OVERLAY MAPPING SCRIPT HELP

Greetings all,

Just put my Jr. developer hat on and started fiddling around with Overlay Mapping and using GIMP to create my own maps and such. Only issue is that all of my events seem to freak out whenever I put them there. For example, I wanted to simply make an event move in a particular pattern, a few "move lefts" a few "move ups", and that's all. But when I pressed play, the event lazily drifted off to the bottom left, like she were a stumbling drunk.
So I said screw it, I'll give the player the choice of where to go. And I added a simple conditional branch set to if the characters coords were such and such they would be asked to continue or turn back, and whenever that event runs, the whole background goes black, but I can still move freely... Any suggestions or help would be appreciated, I tried to be as specific as possible.
Other details, I only downloaded a screenshot-taking script and Yami's Overlay Mapping script, I don't know if maybe there's another script out there that can help fix these events? Need some help!
What other program you use than that GIMP?

Nothing, just GIMP.
