I always imagine the average RMNer as a very awkward, depressed, pansexual, animal-loving anime-nerd that only rarely, if ever, make a game. I'm not sure if meeting anyone from here would make my image of the average RMNer worse or better.
And some of us are literally nazis.
Is the UK destabilized enough yet such that their currency is reduced significantly enough for the trip there to be affordable?

It is a bit late because I didn't manage to take a picture of me in costume until last night. But the term "literally nazis" have been thrown around hasn't it so I thought that since I am literally a nazi right now it'd be fun!
Alright so right now the dates that I might be able to make it to London would be week 32 (August 8 - 14), so if we do the meetup around that time I might visit. I should probably also spend a day or so touristing? It feels like the kind of thing one should do, even though I'm not very good at that.
So yeah, dates? August 12/13 (Friday/Saturday)? And what are we going to do except be really awkward? I would bring boardgames as long as they're tiny :D

I would have recommended holding multiple meet-ups around the same time, based in different countries. So, one in the UK, one in the USA, etc. Then we could link all of them through Skype or something, but I doubt it would work, so...

So if we set the meet to be August 12th and/or 13th. Is there some general location for hanging out? I don't know the city, but I assume there is some local place we could hang out in and see what we can come up with. A location would be nice so if I try to dig up a hotel or something I'll try to dig up one that is near where we'd be!

So, what do you know. I've been looking it over again, and it seems that I was wrong, and I should actually be able to make it for this meetup. I've managed to find some very reasonable possibilities for transport to London on the weekend of August 12th to 14th. In short, if it's not too late, I'd actually like to be there for this!

I don't know exactly where I'm going to stay, but I'm confident I should be able to afford a hostel room or something for one or two nights. Do we have any idea about which days / what time we want to spend together? Because I might have to get my tickets relatively soon if I still want them to be affordable.
(I'll just make this clear right away, I'm probably going to be travelling by train or bus. I don't like flying.)

I'm definitely interested. I assumed the meetup was going to take place at the end of July, making me unable to attend, but now it should be more possible for me. But it would still be difficult. Bart will be a mentor at the uni's introduction week starting August 14th, and I have to be representing my acting group as treasurer at that same introduction week.
Well, August 14th is a Sunday, right? Would it be manageable for you if you arrived back home on that day? So far, it seems like most of the action would be going on on Friday 12th and/or Saturday 13th, so leaving in time for your university responsibilities to not become a mess should be possible (at least theoretically).
Yeah, worth adding that I don't mind taking the day-off for Friday, so it could end up being at least two days - and maybe the Sunday as well for whoever's interested/available.

Great! I'm not entirely sure yet what day I'll be returning home, both Saturday evening and Sunday are possible options for me. So I'm fine with just basing that decision on what the others prefer. I'm probably going to arrive early on Friday morning, if all goes well. But if nobody else is ready yet at that point, I don't mind waiting a bit at all.
