So, I'm getting someone was infected last night rather than killed. I also throw it out there that while I was somewhat quiet yesterday, I did contribute to the discussion. So any suspicion based on "quietness" is a bit unfair. Alas I say this every game so maybe self-reflection skills aren't up to par~
I'd be surprised if they turned IF considering he was almost killed yesterday. Of course, that doesn't count for much if he was already mafia to begin with. He's still a valid suspect as far as I'm concerned. He was super aggressive yesterday toward cave although little of his aggression seemed to be targeted at actual bandwagoners.
I will concede IF's behavior at the end of the day was convincing, but it wouldn't be the first time a mafia member acted innocent all the way to the last second.
That said, I'd rather lynch someone else today. I just didn't like seeing people dismissing IF as innocent when he still seemed legitimately suspect to me.

Or you think he's innocent. I think he's way too aggressive on Cave_Dog to dismiss outright. Also, with a 1 out of three hit rate for infection, I think Cave_Dog's chances of being scum right now are closer to 33.3% (because I'm convinced he started out town...it was just something he said.).
If IF can pretend to eulogize about CAVEDOG ten minutes before the end of the day, then that's a really good performance and I won't be ashamed to lose to that. Plus my original reasoning still holds... he outed Kloe (with hilariously stupid results in the opposite direction of what I was expecting) instead of just silently trying to infect or kill her.
And piano, if you think you were targeted (decently likely) then you can raise that chance to 50% because it missed you.

I don't get this part - are you suggesting that BOTH you and CAVE_DOG could be infected?
Well I can know that I wasn't infected, but I have an ego so I'd like to think I was targeted. That eliminates one of the three people targeted, leaving CAVE with a 50/50 shot. It's pointless to convince anyone with that logic (because /only/ I can know that I wasn't infected) but you can use it yourself: if you think you were targeted and you think you know someone else who was targeted, that you aren't infected means there's a big chance it's them.
But I still think we should ignore the infected mafia for now and focus on the seed mafia. If CAVE (or YM or piano etc) are getting targeted then let them draw fire until day 4 or whatever when they're gonna be closer to 90% infected. It might be worth looking at the people who were ambivalent around the end of day 1 but I don't feel like reviewing posts at the moment. Odds are it's going to be a quiet player, but I feel like a quiet player is also the vigilante.

By the way, as usual, I'm being quiet because non of you guys live in near proximity to my time zone, it seems. I also woke up pretty damn late. :V
So um... Fuck. It's clear the vigilante is an idiot since they couldn't piece together that Kloe had to have been innocent if Xoe, the one she was defending aggressively, also turned out to be non-scum. As psy mentioned, we are now treding on a thin line here and our votes REALLY have to count now.
With that said, I think we should avoid targeting Infectionfiles because seriously, what scummy post has he made so far? He was calling out the ridiculousness of Cave_Dog's obtuse puzzle, but how does that make him scummy? Cave's entire spiel looks like a meaningless distraction, and I would have called him out on it, too, but TBH I don't even take Cave seriously to begin with.

Anyone else notice how lurky Ratty was on Day 1? Pretty much all his posts were tiny one-liners and he never appeared to do anything but bandwagon.

Scum has no reason to particularly care about who dies during the day phase, especially when there are so few hints as to whose role is who, so if I was seriously scum, I would have kept on the IF bandwagon especially since it seemed like he was hanging by a thread.
@ratty That is a good point, to tell the truth. I suppose IF could also be scum, but... you did stay on the IF bandwagon until very close to the end. Switching to Xoe could have been to help out IF. That doesn't seem very likely to me however.

I guess ratty could have forgotten how he voted yesterday but the fact he made it a point to prove his innocent is really weird!
What about Blob? He's been pretty wishy washy since the beginning and stayed pretty quiet throughout the whole ending of Day 1.
He also said he was a townie but would rather die than lose a special. Pretty noble and while he had votes on him it never went to far or for long before losing all focus.
Has really said much at all after that.

Right, anyone but InfectionFiles. After IF came out and the fact that someone pointed out that it wouldn't be fair to hammer someone without them speaking up, I cancelled. Sorry I wasn't clear on that.
I admit part of my reasoning for changing to Xoe was bandwagoning, but on the first day phase who could have been a better option, and with his slightly different posting style compared to the past, how could I have no been suspicious of him?

I mean, yes lurking, but that is not very helpful. He could be quiet for any number of reasons (including timezones) and it's not as if we can't revisit him after finding a mafia member elsewhere. That said,

I...actually didn't think of this. Of course, if we didn't get infected, how would we know we were even targeted? Still, we don't know who was targeted, and I doubt anyone's going to come out and just say who scum targeted, so we still have to hold with the 33.3 percent chance. The 50 percent chance is only true on an individual basis, and that's anecdotal.

This is always the reason for a first day lynch, but at the same time, we try to latch onto any evidence we can. Eventually, we figure out how welp it all is.
I do have a question for you, though. I guess I missed where you might have explained it. I tried to read through the previous posts thoroughly, but there was a lot to go through, but why did you initially vote Gourd_Clae, yesterday? It was out of the blue and offered no reason.
