[GAME OVER] M.A.F.I.A:PANDEMIC EDITION(POSTGAME DISCUSSION)
Posts
I think I understand what's up with CAVE_DOG. When he was doing his puzzles, he called it a secret PM. Let me explain something: this is a power town has always had. It is our only legitimate ability we can use against scum. We can fake out with PMs. It's always been a rule that we can't actually direct post our PMs, but it's never been a rule that you can't fake people out. When Cave did it, TL made it a rule that you can't convince people what's in your PM. It kind of breaks the spirit of mafia, and now suddenly Cave's in trouble for something every mafia player has always been able to do. I can understand perfectly the game losing his interest at that point.
And that's the thing, it could really be either or at this point. It's the obvious sleight of hand that distracts you from the bigger con. Frogge really hasn't jumped on a bandwagon either has he? He's one of the odd outs that usually doesn't have a vote on one of the targets. Though I believe that's changed now because he's voting for Ratty, or he had anyways. But he's not anymore, just checked.
Him and Gourd at kinda in the same boat for me. not overly suspicious (even with Frogges whole thing) but it's because of that you have to look at them twice. Gourd is playing it cool as a cucumber even though he's a gourd. so not sure about that

... Crap, Now I feel Bad...
*Rule Revoked even though it won't make much of a difference now*

Oh, I'm not dismissing Frogge. I made that mistake once with NeverSilent. I'm never making it again. I simply don't think there's anything really solid to accuse him of. Yeah, acting suspicious is more of a newbie/bad town move, but it could also be a redirect by a clever, newbie scum.
Frogge
I am playing terribly aren't I :D But I'm still doing better than Kloe's mafia. I guess this techinique works.
O.o I wish there was an "impatient finger tapping" emoji.
And I see now, piano. That makes more sense actually because it seemed so scummy to me that I was like "wait, what? how is that legal"
if it was a town ploy then I feel bad and understand CAVEs vote towards me for ruining it. but thats because I didn't know. I guess he shouldn't just stop though?

I'm sure there's some ridiculous amount but how much time left for Day 2?

Yeah, Gourd really seems to be in his element, doesn't he? He's playing a perfect town. Mind you, we're talking about a guy who starts getting nervous and acting scummy if his name is suggested as scum in passing. Of course, maybe he's finally finding his mafia legs. Or maybe this situation is different for him...say if he was playing scum.
As a side note, while we shouldn't be hunting special roles, we should always remember that they're out there. Special roles often look like scum.
That's very true, about the special roles.
And I do like dropping his name every now and then because he really does act on it. I guess I could be petty and vote for him because he tried to get me killed but that failed because of timing.
Honestly though it's just not a good or solid vote.
We still have a good number of specials, the only thing with that though I they very well could be infected or targeted for infection. So it's aliite fucked up that we have to think about it like that too.

Yeah, I look at the infected, secondary mafia the way I do regular mafia. If you're recruited, there stands a good chance of your behavior changing. Mind you, I was offline last day phase, and now I'm online, so I'll be hard to gauge in that regard.
I rather imagine a recruited mafia would be exceptionally careful, having started town and now being in the interesting position of suddenly not being town, and being mafia.

You know, I think I'm going to #cancel my vote on CAVE_DOG based on that reasoning (not like it matters since Tangled apparently didn't count that vote. Silly!).
Last day phase he was being his typical, nutty, baiting self, posting puzzles/images that have an obscure relevance to the game and basically milking Day 1 for all its worth. Now, he's become both quiet and sullen, and it could definitely read as being dissatisfied with something rather than being scummy.
The piggy-backing... Could be out of familiarity with YM?
Anyway, I think we should be careful with Frogge, here. He may be sounding contradictory and acting... weird but judging from past games (god, how can I stop being meta in these games?) this could mean that he's just an unhelpful town rather than scum, and on this phase, we REALLY can't afford a mislynch.

We would never notice a change with the "less active" players though and that's what troubles me. People like Gourd, Blob. Ratty or even Frogge. CAVE to an extent but I think he wouldn't play differently because everyone knows him too well.
Frogge could very well be making it obvious because he's infected and wants to have the attention. Even if they lose him they can infected someone else and so on for awhile until the game ends in their favor. They have the option to sacrifice infected for their plans. they'll get two more and then lynches. they can just wait us out with that tactic.
Keep the heat off of the "seed mafia"
Also, if someone is infected are they straight up like mafia or do they have limitations like not being able to use the virus vials?

Luckily I think the quieter players are less likely to be targeted in the first place.

Yes, I agree. That's actually why I haven't voted for him. Seriously, though, it wouldn't be the first time in recent experience that a new player on the forum played scum and gave off absolutely no scum-tell (I repeat, NeverSilent).
(god, how can I stop being meta in these games?)
You can't. Embrace your meta feelings!
I beg to differ, they are the ones that can get away with it. They are already off our radar, why not infect them?
I'm thinking Frogge too but willing to hear him out or some more evidence.

Around 15 hours, 45 Minutes.
Mmmmm, I'm pretty stuck on the ratty lynch but I don't know if I can ignore how purposefully unhelpful Frogge is being. Is it some kind of weird reverse-psychology? Act super weird so that we don't suspect him? It's not helping either way.
:D Yay, mafia-legs! I do find the idea that I would act cooler if I was actually scum laughable though.

Cool, I thought it was around there.
Kinda why I dont want to be hasty, because even a vote now could change so quickly in an hour or so.
Frogge or Ratty are easy, but neither have a lot against them besides a few things that they are saying themselves.
Frogge, you gotta convince us brother.
