@piano Looking through Gourd's stuff I realized it's just the way he's put things a couple times that stood out to me that seemed unnatural (in his first post, when he gets back on IF's case after the end of day 1) but I doubt that would be enough to convince anyone. Plus I was skeptical about how he was going after Ratty mid day 2, then somehow buying Ratty's "YM used honorifics!!" argument immediately. But after review he was on Ratty's case in day 1 so that's not really telling like I thought it would be. I'm willing to buy that he thought a lynch of a useless person would still be acceptable when he was going after Frogge. Voting against me and leaving doesn't look great from my perspective.

And I would argue that if I can't convince people, I should at least be using my vote strategically rather than putting on who I personally think is most likely. Like if I immediately threw out "lynch piano!!" right now it's not like that would accomplish anything. I'd rather vote for ratty who still has a chance of being scum rather than we end up lynching Frogge or IF or someone I know isn't mafia.

This is why you build a case. In my eyes, there was never a strong case against Ratty. There was a strong case against IF, but everyone was swayed by humorous theatrics and nobly telling Xoe it's one or the other. When I thought about it, IF seemed like newbie town being overly aggressive. I know because I was, and to an extent still am the same way, and I'm sure you can see it. I zeroed in on protecting Ratty and still haven't let up. I zeroed in on IF, and you saw how much it took to back me off of him. I suspected him, I built a case and it fell apart. I didn't suspect Cave as much but he was less talkative and seemed uninvested so considered him and I let others built the case. He convinced me to cancel pretty easily. It was a lynch I didn't fully believe in.

You, on the other hand, are "strategically" pursuing lynches of people with a low likelihood of scum, because you want to make sure you can get everybody on board. You're targeting easy prey.

Not gonna be up much longer and as much as I like these things I'm not getting up at 6AM tomorrow.

Notes for vigilante/sk/whoever:
YM: I suspect he's not voting against me at the moment because he's scum and when I flip town, he wants to avoid suspicion, I'd go for him maybe
IF: I chose to believe he's innocent because if he's not I'd look stupid as hell and would be fine with losing, really not that suspicious though
piano: either innocent or sadistic, if he were scum he would shut up, let me die, and go to sleep... leave him
Gourd: irritatingly non-descript til now but I'm annoyed he canceled his cave vote /after/ piano canceled despite posting before him, then later slapped his vote on me then left, but only /after/ piano and ratty also switched. go for him
Ratty: probably innocent and I think he was the first to jump on me? so probably clear
CAVE: will be dangerous next day if infected but his explanation for being out for most of day 2 vindicates him for me, leave him
Blob: really really suspicious, I see no reason to follow posting in the thread and only respond when called by name really, but he backed up Ratty so idk, but avoiding detection at this point is scum strat go for him maybe?
Frogge: is probably genuinely terrible town rather than just pretending to be so, leave him

Confession: I was doing terrible anyway, so I decided to continue being terrible on purpose. But it's actually working, so that's a thing.

Working in the sense that I'm not a major suspect. Well probably am, but I didn't really get any lynches so far except from YM in the beginning who cancelled it later and also some one else I forgot who also cancelled it later >.<

For clarification that's not an invitation to be nightkilled and if I'm killed by the vigilante I'm holding them personally responsible for the outcome of the game. Because seriously.

Use your judgment and realize that 3 voters are scum. My guess is there's at least one innocent voting against me but that's still only a guess. Gourd is still my biggest feel for scum and piano for not-scum. If Ratty is scum then Gourd almost certainly is. If Ratty is not scum, then the way votes are stacked right now I'm actually not sure, but YM would be my candidate for leading off with Ratty in day 2.
