Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

Oh, you mean people start suspecting someone when you're already dead.
That's just how the game works. Be more vocal while you're still alive.

But being vocal while you're alive makes you look even more suspicious I'm???

Where did you get that idea from? Everyone's died on the first day of a mafia game at least once. That's not indicative of any trend whatsoever. >.<
The most vocal players this game were CAVE, psy and piano. CAVE and piano both lasted until the final day, psy lasted until the night of the second-to-last day.

Oh, Blob dibsed it? Cool! :D
Also my solution was a joke, I was trying to be sarcastic and say "Oh yeah, it says Cave Dog in huge red letters" but in a different way >.>
Tangled, I'll post the chat links if you want :P

There are no words to find in the puzzle except for a few fake ones (you can find "searching" "for" "words" "red" and "herring" at least). Instead, the point is to realize you're not looking for the letter X but rather the shape X - there are 5 "X"es that can be made by drawing intersecting lines through the same letter in the puzzle: B, M, A, N, & T. To determine the order (and how to find a 6th letter for the answer) draw a line through the picture as if you were to draw a big X through it (or as if you were drawing the symbol in place of an author's name) and you arrive at B A T M A N
alternately just draw a big x through the puzzle and look at the repeating letters and realize something is up
since the answer is batman, I was going to claim that this puzzle was a breadcrumb and claim vigilante, if the vig was still alive, at some kind of lylo situation where mafia was dead and vig was alive, and get him lynched. kind of needlessly circuitous. and it also wouldn't have worked in that scenario since the vigilante also had a daykill.

That's actually a pretty neat puzzle. I didn't realize the shape was supposed to span the whole puzzle, but now that I see it it makes perfect sense. XD
Welp i was sort of close. I found the 5 A's but couldn't find the rest.
Who else was going to host? I don't want to steal their game.

never played Skyrim but I'd be up for it... except wouldn't a halloween themed one be better for October?

I'm not 100% sure, I sorta wanted to, but you can go first! ^^
But the avatar... please spare my eyes
WHAT!?! Batman... DAMMIT! He's my favourite superhero >.> How did I not see that!? :(
Puppy put a lot of thought into that... he needs a round of applause IMO.
Actually, I'm planning a Batman themed game, but don't worry, I'm not going to host again for quite some time. In a few months, especially since I'd like to get some artwork ready for it.

Jfc I knew Cave Dog was SK but no one listens to me >.<
But seriously how the hell didn't you guys figure out Cave Dog was mafia especially based off his shitty behaviour in the final day--
You've missed the point here. The SK is not the same as mafia. The SK was helping town at this point and we needed his cooperation to survive. Lynching him would've lost us the game even more surely than lynching you. If you were convinced he was SK, the absolute /last/ thing you should've been doing was lynching him.

I've been watching this game form the sidelines. It definitely suffered from balance issues. Having 2 mafia and 3 converts means, as host, you have to calculate with 5 mafia. This, in a game with 12 people one of which is a serial killer, is just far too many. You want to try to have 1/4 of all people mafia, maybe slightly less. You definitely want at least 2/3 of all people to be town.
It's even worse than that. When town has 2 kills at the beginning, there's less "surface area" to hit, so to speak: only 1/6 shots are on target. It's only later on that we were actually able to target all the mafia that would appear in the game and there'd be a ~50% random hit rate. Although thinking of the game as 5 mafia, 6 town, 1 SK is pretty stark.
If anyone's interested in modeling games in preparation for hosting, let me know. If it wasn't obvious in game, I love running numbers on this junk and would be happy to whip up a simulation to check how things are balanced.

Maaan mafia had daychat? I think half the fun of playing as with hidden partners is trying to play off of them, cluing them in to the plan while keeping everyone else off. Like I've seen games where there's a mafia job whose only power is providing daychat haha.
Mafia always has daychat. Anyway, a game of 12 to 14 is generally considered a small game. You only need two, or at the most, three mafia for a small game. The saving grace in this game was that you gave the town plenty of powers. Still, this game drew out when it probably shouldn't have. When a game draws out, it should be because the mafia are doing a good job of keeping out of trouble; not because they can constantly replace members. Personally, I'd have made it harder to get past the doctor. If the doctor protects and mafia hits that protection, nullify infection, not simply move the infection on. Also, I'd have probably counterbalanced by giving two town resurrection abilities.
