ULTIMA FANTASY MAFIA - GAME ON! [POSTGAME]

Good job, psy! I knew you were mafia this time around :P
thought I'd see town win this game, but nah. not really sure how they ever win!

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

author=Blobofgooauthor=LockeZI was discussing what to do about that in dead chat. I couldn't figure out a way of fixing it without exposing psy.
I'm not really crazy about the fact that I based my losing decision on a premise that was made wrong by a secret mid-game rule change that only the mafia knew about. But if there hadn't been the rule change, then I guess I might've been dead on night 2 anyway via sword death. Oh well.
GG, psy.
I think if you had just not shared the fact that white mage protection is announced publicly, it would've worked out. If I'd successfully protected someone at any point in the game then it would've still been a mess, but I didn't.
It's okay, just let this be a lesson for future mods not to change the rules mid-game.
That probably would've worked LockeZ. I was being intentionally annoying to blob though and would've bugged you into PM'ing him about it -- whitemage protection could've been made silent I guess but w/e. Definitely would not have won without it, considering that aside from Tung all of your calls were 100% on. I was frustrated we couldn't kill you on night 2 because of the deceit screwup.
oh, yeah, IF, you did pretty neat too, Kloe would've lived if you hadn't called my bluff vote... sorry Kloe.

Thanks psy! It was a fun game, wish I lasted longer
Also, good job Blob! Thank you for the fun game :D

Ah, no problem, at least you won it for me, my sacrifice was worth it!
Also I'm writing up the thread for the next mafia right now, so yay!
I'm suprised that you all (Well, no, not all) are complimenting me. I did terribly this game, like I always do.

Maybe some advantage for town for once, eh? :P
I stand by my simulator, I think town actually had a pretty good shot this game, at least on day 1! ...except you all managed to lynch the obvious blacksmith, pass the sword to the mafia, and we in turn killed off the 11%-swing seer. If the seer was around to vindicate Tung, incriminate me, etc, it'd be all over. I would've been very disappointed if we managed to bungle it after that.
Odd I complimented your ability to cause chaos haha. You didn't play terribly, for sure, but I wish you tried to scumhunt a little more. YM died on night 3 with 2 votes against him, hilariously enough. You could've bailed him out if you'd wanted to. Your second kill though threw a wrench into everything Ratty and I had been planning though haha, I was so surprised I figured the only way it could've happened was because someone was the /seer/. PS: non-scum me would've immediately handed the sword back to you. Also though: if we roll scum together at some point we're gonna /clean house/.

the " obvious blacksmith" who breadcrumbed reading 'religious books' (??) was doing very weird things for no reason and didnt claim their role, oops.

Okay, yeah sorry, this was only obvious to us knowing Cap was nonscum. We just sort of watched in bewilderment, not sure what happened there Cap.
i should have known that someone acting that weird couldnt be scum and stayed the course with psy wombats murder, but the heart wants what it wants.
it was funny that you all thought i was the white mage because of that

It wasn't very clever of me. I should have saved misleading role playing for myself. I know this now.
Also, it was fun, how every time someone got suspicious of Psy, like Yellow or Tunger, Psy managed to turn others against them.

author=psy_wombatsWhat happened with deceit? I don't really understand why you deceited a town to look like a different town, but I'm more interested in why that would keep you from killing me.

Psy is just scary. Even when he turns out Town. lol
I also never trust people trying to drop hints at stuff. it's too easy a platform for people to jump on to for a lynch.
Not sure why roles would even want to do that

The original plan was to have the seer's body turn up on day 1 to discredit the seer when they ultimately stepped forward. I was way too paranoid about getting seer'd early on so I thought we needed multiple plans to deal with it. In retrospect we would've been better off using it defensively on Kloe or offensively on some random. Imagine if on day 2, Kloe, Ratty and I had all bandwagoned on Tung after casting deceit on him. Oh well.
We weren't able to touch you after that because it meant that any roleclaim from me would've involved having to argue that deceit was spent on you instead of any of the people I'd pretended to identify. Ratty and I were worried he'd be dogpiled day 3 and I'd have to claim to save him.
And I think hints can be useful, just not when they're obviously hints haha.
