STAR FALL: A FORUM GAME (IN PLAY)

Alright, I'll be off to town and to try an dfind out when exactly the planetary guard is the most lax, that way it'll be easier to get out of the planet with the stolen craft unnoticed.
After I'm done with my scouting for information, I'll go to Katyas to hear out her job offer.

LockeZ, I'll draw that map in a little while.
Lintis and Ozardel: You meet Katya and find Rylah and Helium at the meeting.
Katya says, "Alright boys, here's what I need."
Escort Mission:
Among Katya's many business dealings, she specializes in private security (a euphemism for hiring out mercenaries), account managing (read money laundering), and clandestine shipping (just call it smuggling). The Pirates Guild does not interfere with Katya's operations--she works hard at making inroads with the major organizations--, but that doesn't mean there aren't pirates interested in forcibly acquiring what she's shipping. There's no need to fear the UAS or bounty hunters when working for Katya. They'll look the other way. Unfortunately, they also won't help if you come under attack. Unfortunately, the Wah'ri has also taken an interest in Katya's merchandise over the past few months.
The escort vessel is a ship carrying undisclosed merchandise. Katya ships many kinds of things, but this particular merchandise is of a type that the Wah'ri and freelance pirates have been specifically targeting. The ship is currently docked at Palius. You'll have to go there and dock. Once you leave Palius dock, you'll be contacted in orbit. From Palius, you will guide the ship to Aldus Prime. Escorting the ship from Palius to Aldus Prime is a 20 gate journey and will pass the planet Abil. You must remain with the ship at each gate. If the ship comes under attack, none of you will be able to gate until hostilities cease. You must defend the ship from attack.
Payment: 15,000 credits, 5000 in advance.
Katya says, "I want four ships minimum to provide escort. Lintis, you and your group have two. Helium gives us three. Rylah, that little Arrow you stole to get here? I've had it cleaned. Nobody's going to come looking for it. That's four."

"That sounds like a plan! I think me and my asociates are ok with this mission. I would however ask for some time and a small favor. Ya see, we want to aquire a certain... souvenir that could make our helping you a lot easier. And I think that someone with your contacts could help us with this."
"As for a reason why you would help us, don't forget who got you into the hospital."

Hahahaha
"Well, my friends and I have come up with a little scheeme to steal the local Brigadier. I take it you'll be able to facilitate us an ID change once we've aquired said craft?"
Ozardel: Katya's eyes narrow. "If you get caught, who's going to escort my cargo ship? I'll make you a deal. Escort my ship to Aldus Prime first, then when you come back, if you can manage to steal it without getting caught, I'll get someone to wipe the ID for you, no charge. Trust me, a Gauntlet is more than capable of handling the run from Palius to Aldus."
"I guess that sounds like a plan, as long as the others have no objections, I guess we can start our little business venture. 5000 credits up front was it?"
I look back and forth between Ozardel and Katya a few times in disbelief. These are the people I'm supposed to work with? Either they're extremely overconfident in their own abilities, or just crazy. But you know, whatever. It wouldn't be the first time I found someone make up for their seeming incompetence and lack of social graces with fantastic skills in other areas.
So after shaking my head for a moment, I collect myself and say to the rest of the group: "All right. So we're a team now, huh? I'm Helium, nice to meet y'all. Who's in charge of this party?"

I mull over Helium's question for a bit. I'm not happy about the threats that were made when we were saving Katya, not to mention this last fiasco when he put forward the fact that we saved her as a threat-of-sorts to have her help us steal a Brigadier. However, I'd be inclined to say that Ozardel would be the most likely person to be this rag-tag group's leader.
@Marrend, how the heck was that a threat? I just told her that she kind of owned us a favor because we brought her to a hospital. I wasn't threatening her.
@Ozzy: Perhaps it was the way I imagined you said that? I dunno. I just felt it wasn't a good idea to point that out.
*Edit: We still managed to get her help, even if we have to help her first. A favor for a favor is still a good exchange.

"All right. I've got a suggestion: If we have some kind of data expert or intel collector here, how about they go ahead and look up some information about the route we're supposed to take? The more we know about possible dangers or problems in advance, the less we'll have to worry. In the meantime, I gotta resupply my ship and buy some stuff. Anyone else wanna come with me?"
