Thanks, pianotm! And hey everyone!

Hm, I try to remember what I know about this planet. Is it a less frequented area of Star Fall, or is there actually a lot of trade and/or industry going on here? If it's the latter, I'll have to be extra careful.
Also, do Katya and me have a specific place where we usually meet, or where I know she spends a lot of time? I would probably go there right away, if such a place exists.

Helium: None of the places you know to meet her seem to work out. You learn she was injured in a fight. You might try the local clinics.

This is a moon of heavy industry. It's mineral rich so there's a huge mining and refining industry here.
Well, hello NeverSilent welcome to the game.

Piano, I would like to ask Katya if she knows anything about the woman named Brigadier General Angela Devereaux. If not, then Rylah will just go back to the bar for more rum.

Rylah: (Try not to refer to your character in third person.) Katya looks at you and says, "Our big local hero. Everyone knows Devereaux. Every once in awhile, some companies out of Star Fall try to take some of the uncharted gates to colonize new planets to expand the Star Fall region. I know that Roberts Industries in particular wants to expand Star Fall to four star systems to increase productivity in the current three. Devereaux was a captain in charge of protecting a new colony. As often happens, it came under attack by Wah'ri raiders. She managed to keep the majority of the settlers alive. One of the raiders hit her battalion with a plasmic bomb. It killed three of her men, and the plasma coated her side. It burnt off her arm and part of her face. If you look at her straight on, you wouldn't notice, but when she turns her head, you can see the scars and welts all over her, and that she's missing an ear. Now you can imagine how painful a weapon like that would be: she kept going, literally until she collapsed. She got the majority of the colonists out alive. She skipped a rank assignment and made full colonel for her bravery. It's why she's a brigadier general at such a young age. Thing is, the Wah'ri don't use plasmic bombs. That's our tech. That's something mercs and pirates use. Devereaux swore she'd get to the bottom of it. That's the last anyone every really heard from her. She shows up sometimes on the news, but that's just to spout army policy like a parrot. It sounds like somebody from our side is supplying the Wah'ri with weapons."

(I try not to. I worded the sentence wrong due to rushing trying to do like five things at once my brain is scattered.)
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Wow, how the heck is it legal to sell something as powerfull as a Brigadier? The UAS should be more worried about this than about the Wah'ri threat XD.
That Brigadier is a pilot's and engineer's wet dream xD I say we steal it! (kidding)

I say we actually steal it. Not kidding.

I'm totally into planning this heist. This won't even be the first time I've stolen a ship. Last time it was small and privately owned though, so no one came looking for it. I think we could come up with a way to get it into the sky, but not getting caught is harder, and most importantly we'd need a way to keep them off our tail.

Kasady is an engineer and should theoretically know something about how a ship's security and tracking systems work, right?

Well, Star Fall turn Grand Theft Auto. I am a pirate/engineer so stealing is something I am good at. I am kind of interested in this idea now.

Stealing it is legitimately an option. With two engineers, you can reprogram the ship's security and tracking systems to recognize you as the owner, however you wouldn't be able to land it or outfit it at a regulated spaceport until you found someone who could change it's ID number. That can be done for a fee.

Oh, nice.

I attempt to explain my intentions to Ozardel and get him to translate to the rest of the group. We're going to need someone to visit Starship's Unlimited in person first and scout it out - map out the layout, figure out what kind of security they have there, how many people there are, and where the Brigadier is in relation to the other ships and the exit.

Well, as far as I know, both Ozardel and myself are at Starship's Unlimited. I suppose one of us could peek around? I can't say I'm fully comfortable with this idea, though.

*Edit: As an OOC aside, Lintis has probably done a number of questionable things in his life as a mercenary. So, maybe I'll see how this goes over with odd and Ozzy.

That doesn't sound good. But I assume I'm in some sort of city on this planet right now, correct? So it shouldn't be too hard to look up how many hospitals there are in the vicinity, and then call then up to ask whether Katya is there. I'll just pretend to be a cousin who heard about her injury and wants to visit her.

Lintis: You peek around and realize how silly you're being. This is just a building. They don't keep the ships here. They're kept in hangers at the docking port.

Since nobody else seems to be visiting the tavern...

Ozardel: You noticed that Lintis and Agnelia also had messages waiting when you went to the terminals.

Helium: You try three clinics before you find Katya. When you ask, you don't even have a chance to make up a story when a nurse ushers you in to see her. It's odd how things work out: mutates are hated and feared across the galaxy for petty reasons, to the extent that it's even illegal for a mutate to be employed on most planets, and yet, Katya, despite being so obviously a mutate, seems to do quite well for herself. You find her rather relaxed, one of her arms in a sling. Apparently, she also has a hip injury, but you can't see the evidence of treatment there.

"Helium, I'm so happy to see you. Say you have good things to tell me." You pay your debt and as she accepts, she says, "Oh! The whole sum!" She grins. "I can always count on Helium. I hope this doesn't have you too strapped for cash. I can have you join some fellows I'm planning on hiring for an escort mission I've got lined up, if they accept, that is."
If I am not mistaken, I should be at the tavern getting drunk on rum. Unless Katya was telling me about that one girl with the scars and then after finishing Helium just happened to walk in.

Yes. You're there when Helium walks in.
Ah, okay. Then I will look at Katya and write down on a piece of paper:
"Katya, who is this?"

Rylah: Katya says, "This fine individual does jobs for me and occasionally buys information from me. A reliable worker."

After explaining to the rest of the team what Agnelia has in mind, I tell them that she has my support on this. "Getting this brigadier will be very helpful for us, I hope you guys also agree."

I walk outside to tell my comrades the following in private: "Alright, I think it would be wise for us to go talk to this Katya fellow before we take any action on our little Brigadier plan. Who knows, maybe she could help us get the ID change we need in order to make the ship truly ours. If anyone is against this plan, speak up now."

"Hi, Katya. You've seen better days, huh? But at least you seem to be in good spirits. Don't know if I can say the same, to be honest. But I'll gladly take whatever job you have in store for me. Based on a few things I found out recently, escort missions in this part of the universe might suddenly have become a lot more relevant, too."

I'm a little annoyed that I can't talk to Katya in private because this other person is there. Still, I turn towards them and extend my hand to shake Rylah's.

"Hi. Are you a friend of Katya's? Well then, Katya, if you think they're trustworthy... Nice to meet you, I suppose."

P.S.: Should I describe my character to the other players, by the way?

(You don't have to. Your character sheet's in the OP...a little edited to hide your identity.)

Helium and Rylah: Katya's eyes narrow. "Well then, it's a good thing you two are meeting. My little friend here was in a bit of a mess on Deimos that you might find interesting, if she's willing to tell you about it." Katya turns to Rylah and winks. "I have more ears than the ones on my head."
I merely stare at Helium and pull out another piece of paper and write down:
"Hello. It is more a mutual partnership really. All of my friends are...dead."
