[MAFIA] RMN: WHEN THEY CRY (TEA PARTY)
Posts
I'd say the odds are near 0 for me to have gotten any use out of this power so I don't feel too bad about claiming. We also know what the shadows were now, which means there really was no nightkill (unless the other protector also chose cave, what are the odds?). I feel like we can trust cave given the circumstances though.
I feel like I should have just stuck to my ozzy vote from day 1 after reading that.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

author=CAVE_DOG_IS_BACKI don't want to roleclaim, but suffice to say I had an actual plan with this post, which is now irrelevant and ruined.
lockezhe is also posting some really bad ideas. unsure how i feel about him now.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

There may very well have been an attempted nightkill on Piano that failed somehow. Or alternatively a third gunman does exist making it very stupid for me to claim. But I don't know why a gunman would try to kill Piano. He's a pretty strong townlean for me.
I have been feeling odd about Ozzy. I still can't get over that insistence that demonlord, being the first to report an attempted kill is less credible than me, who was the second to claim an attempted kill. I also don't like how he deflected that to make it about the idea of three potential kills in a day. Cave and I are not the only ones that has made negative observations of Ozzy.
I agree that Ozzy is just all over the place. Although, I absolutely agree with his assessment that Cap_H's statement that since I read as town, Cave leans scum is incredibly odd, and I feel real strange about that.
Now, Cave's fantastic list names Cap as a town read which hey, that's great! Except I haven't been feeling too hot about Cave this day phase. Cave is just not his usual chaotic evil self. He seems subdued and I see none of the boldness I've become accustomed to from him. His list is good, but I think it's suspect because I'm starting to get a scum lean on him.
Cap_H
Ozzy's presence is weak and most of it feels forced. I wouldn't give him any goodie points for unvoting gourd either. He's all over the place too. The reason he's not even lower is because it looks like he's trying to solve the game. He's not trying to dodge questions either.

Going through Cave's posts, he has none of the vigor he usually does, but he hasn't really said anything that screams scum.
For now, I'll put my vote on someone with a more tangible scumtell.

I should scumhunt more? mm, right now I've just been trying to collect reasons as to why someone might be scum. When you say scumhunt, do you mean a list? I thought I've pointed out several reasons as to why people could be town or scum. I'm just sitting back watching and reading because I don't have much to say that has already been said, and I don't want to repeat myself.
Also, I'm not attacking you cave. I just don't fully understand what you mean.
I don't mean make a list, or for you to make a giant post, unless you find it helpful. I basically mean, you prioritize defending yourself over finding scum. like in this post I'm quoting, you zero in on the stuff about yourself first talk about that. I get it, and I'm not calling you scum for it, just saying I would like to see you be more aggressive (in finding scum, not in tone.)

there's more than one gunner still alive. one targeted demonlord and one targeted piano. you all are not considering the possibility of three protectors+gunners or some shit like that. nightkill was assuredly on me.
@piano, how do you consolidate a scumread on both ozzy and I?
I'm assuming I was the nightkill choice, and, since scum usually just, kill people who they see as a threat, I'm gonna assume that one of the people I expressed wanting to kill yesterday, ym, esby, and cap_h, is scum.
the way ozzy hedges regarding esby but otherwise rarely mentions him, instead zeroing in on cap_h with kind of not so great reasoning, makes me feel like the team might be esby+ozzy.
#lynch ozzy
that puts ozzy at -2. I wouldn't hammer him until he has a chance to claim.

It does make sense. With three gunman, there could still only be one kill per night, it would just be more likely to succeed than with 2 people. Same for the protection.

Isn't there just guaranteed to be a third gunner since gourd was daykilled and then we had two messages about gunners during the night?
Which leaves the question of why there was no nightkill. Either the dual doctors made their 1 in 144 shot of both choosing the person who was nightkilled, or something else stopped it. Maybe there's a roleblock power and they blocked the scum. Maybe there's also a third doctor, and only two of the three have to protect the same person, like the gunners.
Demonlord, did you target yourself last night?

I ask because if you targetted someone other than yourself, that person is almost definitely town.
I mentioned before that cave was my target, which is the big reason I was thinking he was town. That was the whole case I was making earlier actually.

I feel that if one of you is scum, the other is not. Cap_H is right that Ozzy is really all over the place. You, if anything, are as consistent as ever. Maybe you're just in a bad mood and that's what I'm reading.
Okay... I didn't want to say this because I was hoping at some point I could figure it out.
I'm confused on how this "I target was Cave so he's probably town." "If two people attack the same person something happens." Things that popped up when the roles and stuff were brought up.
I just don't understand the mechanics how this works. Is there someone who could explain... in a way that might be easier for me so I can comment on it. It's just one gigantic mess.

Well, I tried to argue my points and somehow you turned them all against me. Regarding Cap_H "making mistakes", he didn't make mistakes, he straight out lied on some of his posts, which is either scum or unhelpful town. Regarding esby, my assessment that he isn't scum is just based on a hunch, that's why it was hard for me to come up with proper reasoning for not seeing him as scum, I feel that scum esby would not be as aggresive as he is with his interactions with other players.
My role is that of the sacrificial lamb, if the person that I voted gets lynched and doesn't flip scum, I am sacrificed a.k.a. killed on that night. That's why I didn't vote for Gourd, I did not think he was scum and couldn't risk dying at day one over a bandwagon on a player that was just eager to start the game. I'm pretty sure on Cap_H though, I'm sure he is scum, for reasons I already noted, else I would not risk trying to build a case against him.
Sadly since the new income of information, I can not pinpoint who his potential partner could be, if he indeed does have a partner.

Basically, each night phase scum usually have the power to kill one person, but that didn't happen this game. We established that the shadows were gunmen and not mafia, which leaves us with...where was the nightkill?
With the way my power works, if two or more defenders target cave, then he wouldn't be killed. It would explain the missing nightkill. I know I targeted him, and it is possible one of the other defenders also targeted him (since we think there are 3 defenders now). Because of this there is also no reason for any of the other defenders to claim right now.
Alternatively mafia just chose not to kill anyone, but I don't see reason why they wouldn't with so many players alive.

Adding to my previous statment, I though Demonlord was scum, until all the rolestuff came up, at that point I couldn't risk voting him.

Some people have power roles. Those power roles are secret, work in secret ways, and sometimes new ones are invented just for a specific game. So it's impossible to tell how they work.
Common power roles include Investigator, Vigilante, and Doctor, which can be used during the night phase to investigate, kill, or protect someone. Some people are claiming they have versions of these power roles that require two or more people with the same role to use their power on the same person on the same night.
so...what is the sacrifice for. do you die instead of the person being lynched?
