[MAFIA] RMN: WHEN THEY CRY (TEA PARTY)

I feel a bit bad about Esby too. I mean, I had a feeling he was just being an obnoxious towny and I didn't like his playstyle and he didn't seem to be helping much, but he was still innocent.

So unless my math is incorrect. We started with twelve and four townies have been killed. This leaves two townies left... Oh God, this is just awful. T.T

I don't know where else to go with this. I don't want to put down the hammer when the days just started.

I'm going to put my thoughts down even though people might not agree with me.

We obviously can't think everyone's town by now.

I've played Mafia. I've seen this happen. I'm not trying to point fingers but I've seen people scumhunt very well, I've seen them participate very well. And they turned out to be scum, despite the towny feel we got from them.

I'm talking about piano and LockeZ. Now this is just a suggestion, and I wish I had said this sooner but I really did see them as town. But we're down to two and there's no other way. One of them could be town. But honestly, with Sol's claim and sincerity, I'm leaning towards Sol being town.

Cap comes off insincere in many posts and has even lied to "prove a point".

YM has been giving me a few scummy vibes, we've had our eye on them several times but they always give us a good reason to look somewhere else.

I really found some of Ozzy's posts a bit reasonable, but I find Sol more towny than he is. And his roleclaim is kind of strange. Not to mention he's done a few things like cancel lynching demonlord before finding his role completely. I believed his reasoning that demonlord was giving good enough reason with his soon coming explanation, but that obviously could also have been demonlord planning to get us off his back. So Ozzy straight up canceling his lynching before finding it out seemed... I don't know, kind of strange.

I get strange vibes from demonlord. A lot of this role claim seems very unlikely in my opinion, and just because he claims his role - assuming it's correct - doesn't make him town.

I really, really wanted to believe piano and LockeZ. I really did. But we're down to two, and while one of them could be town I find it a bit unlikely. They've also played before, they know how to come off town I'm sure. They've been helpful I'll admit, but I just... I can't believe them anymore. They're both very alike in their posts of scumhunting and reasoning, which is why I'm looking at both of them.

This leaves Sol, who at the end of day two I was starting to get more town vibes from him. I originally had a bad feeling about him, but at the start of today seeing his posts have changed my mind for the most part. He's very different in his posting compared to LockeZ and piano (which, while I could be very very off, could be working together).

I'm sure I'll be pointed at for bringing up suspicion towards two of the most innocent looking townies, but this is how I truly feel. Currently, I'd prefer to lynch YM. Despite Ozzy making a lot of scum reading, besides Sol, he'd be my second idea for being innocent. For the reason, he seems sincere in his posts. Though I've already been seen as a bit naive. I'm thinking he could be a townie who just makes several mistakes, however I still don't fully trust him. I'd just rather lynch of someone like YM or maybe Cap.

When I said if one of them was town I meant that I'd not include you Sol. I should have made that more clear.

As for me messing up with the numbers. I.. just realized when you said that. I shouldn't have assumed that the number of Mafia and Town were equal. I keep comparing my game to this game because that was my first Mafia game and this one works apparently very VERY differently.

So then, we don't know how many Mafia there is?

Anyways, my point still stands. I'm not fully overlooking piano and LockeZ just because of their extreme town vibe. That would be wrong in a Mafia game.

Alright. That's all I needed to know.

Sorry for causing trouble. I had the wrong idea in mind. If anything, I'm suspecting YM, Cap, and Ozzy. For the above reasons.

That math sounds right. I guess there isn't much we can do until ym gets here.

If we do have a scumteam of three my guess would be ozzy/piano/yellow or ozzy/piano/cap. This is going on the assumption that ozzy flips scum though. If ozzy is town, then piano is most likely town. I've got a town read on lockez because I know scum lockez to be cautious, and I just haven't seen that from him this game.

It's probably not much use speculating on the what if ozzy is town scenario though, because at that point we have probably lost. I regret that we didn't just kill ozzy yesterday because this would have been a more productive day.

To be fair, you did announce, ahead of time, that you were going to kill Esby. If you ever want to stay alive as a vigilante, roleclaim and then announce that you're going to kill a town player, I suppose.

Here's my opinion on Muffle:

This post and this post, where she is asking what power roles are, don't sound fake. They sound like posts that a self-conscious new player would try to avoid making unless they absolutely had to, to keep from embarassing themselves. Admitting on page 21 of a game that you don't know the game mechanics is embarassing. If she were in a scum chat, she would ask that to them privately. Because she asked in the main thread, I don't think she has anyone else to ask.

This narrows down my list of possible scum to Ozzy, Yellow Magic, Cap_H, and Pianotm. I'm mostly looking at the first two people on that list. If there are three scum, I'd pick Cap_H as scum over Pianotm.

I have taken a good, long time to think about it.

First, let's get the obvious out of the way. Jero is town. No doubt. He's described his power and demonstrated it. Could he be scum? I guess he could be scum claiming his actual power to look town, but I doubt that because he did it to confirm demonlord. Scum don't themselves to each other like that. It's dangerous and stupid. This basically confirms Jero as town. Demon has pretty much the same case for him, despite the fact that he's saying things that are a little off. He didn't confirm Jero, but he did confirm the attempted nightkill on me. The stars are a little too perfectly aligned to ever seriously suspect either of these two of being scum. So if they are, as town, we're screwed.

I think LockeZ is absolutely right about Muffle. Asking the questions that she's asking in the main thread would be dangerous for scum. That she's asking out here strongly suggests she has nowhere else to ask.

Ozzy: I'm going to say this, and you're either going to like it or not. If you're scum and you're sitting there wondering who the best person to kill is, you're not going to nuke the one person whose death will guarantee you get autolynched the next day phase. What's bewildering me, even more, is that so many people are convinced that this is exactly what happened. In all of the mafias you've ever played, how many times in a situation like this, have people like Ozzy ever flipped scum? I know his claim is bad, and I know he doesn't look very good. He does look really scummy and maybe he did make the monumentally amateur move of killing Cave while all eyes were on him. Jero, with his maths, actually makes the best reason to lynch Ozzy. TL;DR, I have a bad feeling about this.

By simple process of elimination, this leaves Cap_H and YellowMagic. The thing is, there's no real reason to think either of these two are scum, that any of us have really noticed, so I've been reading. YM isn't turning up anything that really strikes me as scummy. And I just saw YM's post. If he's not scum, then that really just leaves Ozzy and Cap. I can prove I'm not scum really easy, too. I just don't want to have to.

Okay. There are 23 hours left. This is the least active game of mafia I've ever played! My notices are only topping 500 here.

It's the same on my end. There really isn't much for any of us to say that hasn't been said already. I would like to see a bit more from yellow before hammer, but who can say if his schedule will clear up enough.

Ozzy is a lost cause this game. If he's town, I can't even fault us for making a bad pick for how badly hes played this game.
