CloseQuite frankly, you'll probably find that there's been enough time between my playing the game in the past and now that I've changed my playstyle. That said, I'm not against lynching on first day. No, I think it's fine to do so.
IF we have a strong enough lead.
What I am against is lynching first day just for the sake of lynching first day and using number crunching as the excuse to do so.
As I touched on slightly before, numbers do not take into account that the more people we have throwing around thoughts, ideas and making use of their skills towards the end of the game for town, the more likely I think town will be to win.
It just makes common sense to me that the longer we can drag a game out, with more people to look at the information, compile possible scummy behaviour that someone else might miss, and make use of their skills to garner more information, the better off town is.
Thus, on first day when the likelihood of hitting a townie (especially one with a power) is much more likely, unless there's a very strong read for someone possibly being scum, I think it's still better not to lynch.
Ergo, fuck the numbers game. It's dumb.

- my gut is getting a 'safe' read from cave. I'm happy to go with it as past games I've had decent gut reads when it comes to guessing where he's aligned, even on the first day of the game. Yes, I know that's not admissable in court, I don't care. It is what it is.
- piano seems a bit scummy with the hard line of saying I'm for sure town. how would he know? the only way to know someone is for sure anything is to be scum. I'm watching you.
- frogge protests too much, methinks, but I've not played many games with him so I can't make judgement on whether it's normal for him to fuck around on first day or not, but probably he's like every other person who does fuck around first day so again, I'll be watching
- lurkers better fucking get their asses into gear and post. they're the first on my shitlist in all games. I'm all for lynching someone who doesn't play.

The same way I knew you were scum the previous game we played together. I recall that I was right.

In the only other game I played with him, Frogge lost interest in playing after a little while and then just stopped participating, getting himself modkilled.

Frogge's responses seem natural enough. Like I doubt scum-Frogge would post https://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/24770/?post=892078#post892078 if that was actually his strategy. (The last time I played with him was aaages ago and I think it involved a much younger Frogge flipping out and claiming to be scum because of course scum wouldn't claim to be scum.)
I don't have any Liberty read, I'm wondering how flippant piano has to get before I start scumreading him -- he also pointed out something that happened (votes on gourd) then listed out all the possible reasons that something like that could happen without actually fos'ing anyone in particular.

The only reason I didn't FOS you in the post is that you've been scum several times in the past few games, and if you are again, it's getting kind of silly. Like Cave being scum four times in a row silly.
I will post the next vote count in about four hours, I am a little busy at the moment. However, I am clarifying for people because I've received PMs about it.
Lynching occurs at either the moment hammer is reached, or at the end of the day. If it's at the end of the day, the person with the most votes directed towards them shall die. In the event that multiple people are tied at the end of the day, I shall decide by coinflip or diceroll. If two or more people reach hammer around the same time, the person that reached hammer first shall be the one chosen for the lynch. That is all.

It's only now just clicked that she's been singling me out for scum hunts every game she's been scum in since she's returned.

That game occurred immediately after I was scum in a game where Liberty, YM and I endgamed and I convinced YM that she was the final scum. We will also note she was the strongest scum-hunter on me and threw the most shade on me in the last game she was scum in.
Since Liberty has returned to mafia, I've felt as if she's been singling me out. It didn't occur to me that she might actually consider me her biggest threat until I went back yesterday and reread the old Shin Megami Tensai mafia thread for fun. It's only now just clicked that she's been singling me out for scum hunts every game she's been scum in since she's returned.

I think I'm actually going to have to agree with you on this. I'm kind of soured on the game now after this.
yeah, it seems more like self perseverance rather than anything that helps town
so i think either;
piano is scum and is trying to remove what he thinks is his biggest obstacle
or piano is town and trying to prevent his mis-lynch
i'm not sure on libby yet, she's acted similar to cap so far and has been aggressively useless
