Since it's a bit of a slow day, here are more pointless screens!
These are from a freshly mapped Cidney, the capital of Ozland (a land down under!). Notice that it has crosswalks spanning the city. Cidney is also home to the genius inventor Cid, who is working on an airship.

Kentona: YAY FOR YANG
Rei- Really nice town. Minor complaint: The streets are all a bit too wide open. Towns are usually better looking when the buildings are more compact.

Rei...is that from a mapping competition from long ago? I remember joining one along with Inquisitor, you might have been in it. Who knows, though.
Kentona, it's kind of weird how there are shadows for some things, but not for others. I realize it's to show elevation, but they feel a little out of place when there are no other shadows. Maybe you could increase the transparency a bit so they aren't so noticeable.
That is awesome use of rtp, though. I've never seen that kind of style. I played Hero's Realm but never beat it. :-X

@ Rei: Whoa, I love that map. Well, the inside of the town, anyway. Way better than anything I could do 4 years ago. (Or was I even using RPG maker then? Cant remember, but I doubt it.) I just dislike the outside. Looks a tad too...bare.Other than that it's great.
@ Kentona: Ha ha! And the great RTP maps are still pouring out! And Yang! One of my favourite Monks is in there. And it's the home of Cid, 'eh? SO he named the town after himself, did he!? The bastard! >:( But I suppose I'd do the same. =P
How long do you think Hero's Realm is going to be? He he. From what i would gather, it appears like it is going to be a fairly lengthy game.
Here are some new Dragon Fantasy II Screenshots. Just exploring the Dark World and it's dungeons.
And I had to put this in there for the fun of it. =B Especially since Hero's Realm and all of that helped me to get ideas for DFII.

Those are INCREDIBLE, Ephiam. Like homygawd. That greenish dungeon... man oh man.
kentona: Where is that airship from?

Rei-'s interpretation of the Teddy Ruxpin airship! It's quite awesome.

I'm trying to fix up some of my custom sprites in PH2 for its upcoming RS!D release. But I'm far from the greatest pixel artist on earth, so I'm looking for some tips on how I might improve this grassy autotile:
On the left is my current improved model, and the right is the old version. The stuff along the bottom are upper-layer additions. I want to make it look more natural, but I'm not sure how. Of course, I'll be adding the dirt background to the new one once it's finished.
This is what it looks like in-game. Any thoughts?

@plugz:That's some amazing stuff :o
You could pretty much pass that off as an actual game. Is it made in XP?
@fallen-griever: Right now that looks really spiky. Just lower the darkness of the outline and make the blades longer for starters.

Jesus Christ these are gorgeous. I absolutely adore the ambience you have going on in those, Lusifer. Very professional and solid. The logo in particular is especially striking, I think!
@DD: I can't remember anymore, but mapping it took probably few days, and completing it otherwise (indoors, events, NPCs) couple of weeks I'd guess.
@Neophyte: Noope, it wasn't created for a contest. It's from a project actually.
@harmonic: yeee I agree.
@Ephiam: Cheers. The outsides are bare, but you won't access them after all, though.
And what the hell is up with these super screens and logos as of late?
I really like that game logo too, even though I'm not fond of the title itself, but did you make that logo yourself or what?
Looks really professional.
All these goodie screens make me want to get back to work properly so I can show something too.
Nice stuff.
