[RM2K3] DO YOU THINK IT'S POSSIBLE?

I'm making a game that will utilize several minigames such as a Pac-Man, Mario and I want to try to do a Street Fighter minigame. Do you think it's possible to do in RM2k3?
It's possible, however it would require mad amounts of engine modifications and I'd wager a butt ton of coding.
For making a multi-genre game, I'd pick another engine really. Either Game Maker Studio, Unity, Godot, Construct 2, or whichever engine was more geared towards multi-purpose game development.
I would not use a software called RPG Maker to force it to perform various gameplay styles.

I obviously agree but have you ever tried games that used rpg maker and wasn't an rpg? If so could you tell me how they were?
I don't know how it would translate into 2K3, but, the OP has me thinking about Heartache 101 - Sour Into Sweet. Which, granted, was made with RPG Maker XP. However, it's a visual novel at it's core, with a Pac-Man mini-game popping up every so often.

I'll check it out

Ah, There's actually a bunch of rpgmaker2003 games DrDriscoll could check out like, Starlesss Umbra, and uh Lasting Dreams are good examples for games that utilize several mini games (SU has this in spades) and making a platform-ish in rm2k3.
There's a couple of other examples that I can't think of at the moment but it's definitely doable. I'll add them here if i can think of any others.
EDIT:https://rm2k.net/games/virtualis (platformer template for rpgmaker2003 by DHM, worth look)
https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm18979097 (super mario in rm2k3; can't find download yet tho)
https://twitter.com/viprgnantoka/status/1398262103698329603?s=21 (not street fighter, but street fighter like)
https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9635629 (pac-man tech demo in rpgmaker2003, vid not great, but I know someone made something similar here.)
Apologies for the late reply, just takes awhile to respond these days. But yeah, it's definitely possible. Definitely check out Starless Umbra Chapter 7 when starting a new game, you can press "right" on the difficulty select screen and play the game w/o battles, so you can check out just the mini games DHM created in rm2k3 - they are really really cool, he even has a minecraft mini game. This is definitely something you should check out.
author=DrDriscollThe only one i've played which I liked is this one https://rpgmaker.net/games/4610/ , it's a board game in tsukuru 2k3.

PacMan, not difficult but to make it great would be tedious.
Anything platform you want done well, needs to be done using pictures. RM2K3 isn't great for this.
I'm inclined to point this out - if you are already looking to stretch RPG maker beyond it's designed purpose, why would you limit yourself to making games which have already been made?
I strongly encourage you to think outside the box and build unique mini games. The limitations of rm2k3 can serve as inspiration for this, rather than being a limitation.

For a Street Fighter example, I do remember that Doom 4: End Game had a Street Fighter mini-game in it (which was really cool and really impressive for the time) during one of its multiple story branches that you can take. I do remember (although it’s been a while) that the mini-game was a bit on the laggy side and DEFINITELY not as responsive as an actual Street Fighter game would be…but it’s definitely possible to make!
But, yeah - it's possible to make all sorts of things in 2k3 - as I've seen and have played various different genres in it like board games, platformers, puzzle games...and even a god damn racing game to name some!
Now, how well it performs and how smoothly everything goes will entirely depend on you and how good you are when it comes to your overall eventing skills and general knowledge of the program; and even with that, you're still going to have to work around some of the engine's limitations when attempting to make some of these mini-games for yourself, as it won't come out entirely perfect. It's also a very arduous task that you could probably end up doing a lot better - and much faster - using a different type of program that's more tailor-made for it.
But, long story short: yes. Yes it is possible to make ALL of these things, even in one game!
Oh, and, um...just a quick heads up if you're planning on checking out Dooms 4: End Game for that Street Fighter example, it's...not exactly a very family friendly game as it contains violence, gore, nudity and some disturbing imaginary in it. It's...not TOO bad compared to other games that you would find or discover on the Deep Web that's much, much worse...but it's definitely something that you should know about before giving it a shot.

It depends a lot on what your ambition with the game is. Do you wanna challenge yourself? Then go for it. Do you wanna make a good game consisting of mini games? I would start looking for other options.
You can do all of the stuff you mentioned with events and pictures in rpg maker, but don't expect your minigames to be smooth. I would recommend to check Befuddle Quest series. You can find various minigames stretching the limitations of the engine in them.

The whole RPG maker engine is limiting. Which is something I enjoy. It allows creativity, to overcome the obstacle that is what it's engine is restricted to.

I concur. I can't wait until I get to the minigames portion of my current project. Want to see what I can do with a darts game.

Speaking about minigames do ya'll remember the RPG maker 2k3 game that was made to be a DDR game?
I think I vaguely remember posts about such a game in the lost/old RPG Maker games thread? Maybe it was in the other, older, thread?
*Edit: If nothing else, you could probably ask about in the aforementioned (and linked) thread.

I haven't had a chance to look at them, but I definitely know there were a couple, Aldu uploaded one a awhile back: look under the RM2k3 folder: (Aldu's collection)

There was another I can't remember at the moment. But yeah, the world's your oyster now with rpgmaker2003.
I really REALLY REALLY want to play that super mario game in rpgmaker2003 tho.

I would think it would be a lot easier than making the normal game.
Yes, it's totally possible!
The real challenge is going to be making the minigames fun and visually appealing.
