tll me what you think of Last hope

Battles: Were fun, but leaned on the spammy side. The best thing about the game imo.
Music: Well.. It was there I suppose. Motoi Sakuraba definitely seen his better days during his SO3, Baten Kaitos era
Graphics:I liked the look of the game for the most part. Some of the battle techniques are fun to look at. Nothing too spectacular though
Story:The story overall really didn't flow together and made little sense.
Characters:The worst part of this game. The characters (especially the females) felt like something from a porno flick. I'll give you a giant cookie if you can tell me how many times the loli says "kay" during the game.
SideStuff:The optional dungeon is a great way to waste more time with the battle system. That's about it.
I have acquired 'Record of Agarest War' for the 360. As best I can describe it, it's like Final Fantasy Tactics meets ragnarok online's graphics meets a dating sim game and had a three-way baby.

Cutscenes play out like a dating sim, which is pretty bad, but the rest of it is pretty fun. Seems like it's going to be a very long game too, which is good, because I like my tactical rpg's long.
Been playing Megaman ZX and Megaman Starforce recently. ZX seems to be easier than other Megaman games that I've played, cept maybe for some bosses I've fought, which isn't too many at the moment.
Starforce has been pretty awesome so far. I guess 'cause I've played the Battle Network games before, I've gotten used to combat already.

Yeah, I got this a while ago and haven't played very much, but noticed that the battles did seem refreshingly quite challenging from pretty early on. I underestimated it and actually died a few times in the first free-movement-random-battle area. (Though trying again multiple times wasn't fun due to those areas being laggy as all heck in the EU disc version, don't know about the US download version)

Eh, other than that the game didn't seem TOO interesting and was kind of generic, but apparently the US version is written much better so that probably helps keep people playing more than in the pretty dry version I played. I should probably give it a proper go someday, though... at least to the second generation.

Dragon Age: Origins. It's pretty amazing so far.
This. I currently have just under 80 hours into DAO and I have been playing it for about two months. I think it is probably one of the best games I have ever played. I love all the subtle (and not so subtle) nuances that show what kind of effect you have had on the game world. I also appreciate a game that doesn't treat me like a four year old.
Hell yeah. Dragon Age is awesome, though it can get difficult at some point. I had to retry the Redcliffe battle four times to beat it, and even that's using shitty hit and run tactic. A lot longer than I expected too, 60 hours already and I think I'm not even halfway yet.

I beaten the game 1 times (mage) to unlock everything and did all the origins/romances nnow im restarting it with 1 per class/race combo (human rogue: DPS, dwarf warrior: TANK, elf mage: Armored Healer)

I feel like playing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, but I'm REALLY TRYING to actually stick to and finish a game of Tales of Symphonia.

*sigh* when I'm playing a game I feel guilty about all the other games I'm not playing, and when I drop it and play the game I wanna play at the moment, I feel guilty for dropping another game halfway through that I'll probably have to restart from the beginning at some point...

Battles: fun and sometimes a pain to beat if u dont hit the boss weak points
Music: good for the most part
Graphics: Good intro otherwise it was ok
Story: Flowed well
Characters: depends on who you like to play with. some character r horrible some are great to use.
Side Stuff: Making items and upgradeing your gear (it can make you UBER) optional dungeon is lame and a pain to beat even with 100+ characters

I'm talking about their personalities not how they play in battle.

holb/etc: Yes, I agree.

Dragon Age continues to enthrall me. Also, every conversation/comment about Alistair is better when he's gay (hooray for modding).

geodude: Get it. It is a game where you can be a jerk and there is no karma bar telling you "you suck."

To be quite honest, that is one of the best steps forward DA makes - no fucking good/evil points. What you do affects the parties involved (and, well, maybe the country, but only if it makes sense that it would affect all of Ferelden). Killing a hermit in the woods (or even a lunatic in sight of townsfolk) isn't going to get a guard to chase you on the other side of the continent.

I guess you could say that each party member is a karma bar, but that's still a local effect. It's not "oh Morrigan likes you so people are going to run in terror because you have -500 moral points."

Party members can still make you feel like shit, though. I am romancing Alistair with a gay patch, and this chilled me even though we made up afterwards (I feel horrible every time I have to smooth over my relationship with him using Persuade, though):

(seriously :< spoiler, so DO NOT CLICK if you have not done the first Redcliffe events)

(If anybody wants to see more of what the game is like, I have over 300 screenshots spanning forty hours of play thus far.)

Re: Dragon Age

All I have left is the final battles now. I am sad. :(

I really like how if you make some decisions that party members may especially not like, they will literally turn on you, sometimes even joining with the enemy boss. It's usually easy enough to avoid, but since the cast is so diverse it can be a problem sometimes depending on how you play your character.

Yeah, I totally missed Lelianna and... decapitated Wynne before she could ever join. :< The latter didn't exactly like that I agreed with Morrigan's viewpoint (I was taking a "yeah the chantry sucks but I kind of want an army" stance).

LOL good one.
Making a DO:A character is fun all the way back to their customization.

Specing your character is way fun (here are my specs)
Human Rogue: Archer/DW - Bard (1), Duelist (3), Leggionare Scout
Elf Mage: Caster/Healer - Arcane Warrior (1), Spirit Healer (4), Battlemage
Dwarf Warrior: S/S TANK - Champion (4), Templar, Guardian

the last class on there specs is from awakening.
My mage is a pain to take down: he has V Walking Bomb and Crushing Prison and all the heals

All this info of mine is from the xbox 360 version

Lately I've been playing some of my old favorites in Japanese as a way to study, so at the moment I'm doing:

FF6
Xenogears

And I have a game on FFT as well, but I haven't played that in a long while.

All I have here in Japan is a ps2 and my computer, so I'll probably just be sticking to games I can play on those.
