100 Imps + Other Creatures + Gem Blocks + Training Room + Patience = A dungeon full of level 10's
Did that on the 4th mission of the original Dungeon Keeper, left it running while I went for a shower and the dungeon essentially ran itself. When it came to finishng the level, the heroes had absoutely no chance.
Also, is it me or does levelling new units in Disgaea take FOREVER. Especially if they're absolutely useless in regards to dealing damage...

Haha well I'm early in the game (Chapter 3) so my cleric's somewhat well levelled. It's just that getting new characters up from Level 1 to catch up with my other characters is a pain in the ass, 'cause they don't like to deal damage >.< gah!
Playing a shitload of Zelda...
Doing a 3 heart, Zora Tunic run on Twilight Princess (3 hearts doesn't make it even close to hard, so I had to give myself the weakness to fire and ice with the tunic.) Man, this game is made for freaking 2 year olds. Even with low health and weakness, is still piss easy. Ugh.
Playing Wind Waker again, since I borrowed it from a friend. (Also a 3 heart run)
Finally, I'm playing Link To The Past, because I need a Zelda thats actually difficult.

I take back my previous comment, archers are easy to level, thieves on the other hand.... grrrr....
Also Hoggmeiser was rather... easy in comparison to Mid-Boss and the Dragon/Flonne fight, he only got one kill off and he died rather quickly. That said, getting a large combo of attacks generally helps, too bad I was down a character so I couldn't kill him completely in a single turn.

Well, I played Cross Edge long enough to call it a great game. My sanity is still intact, as Mary thought it wouldn't be. Now if you don't mind, I have to slaughter a village because the PS3 told me to.
Still playing ARF.
And now getting into Scott Pilgrim vs The World game for PS3. The soundtrack is addicting to listen to.

I've always found that playing Disgaea - or really, any NIS strategy game - eventually denegrates down to "the optimal solution." Basically, you forgo your planned out, multi player/monster battle plan for one or two things that world quickly, and well.
Invariably, this tends to be someone with a sword. Eventually, especially in the item world, you're going to get tired of seeing your attacks, enemy attacks, enemy COMBOS, and all the like. And you're going to get tired of setting up 10 people's moves. So you turn off animations and enable quick move. You stop levelling up your characters with weapons that aren't swords, and monsters - and focus on one or two people with swords because they tend to have the easiest to use, most damage, and best ranges of any weapon in the game - regradless of SP cost. In my opinion, spears are even worse for SP cost.
The sword allows you to plow through the most enemies in the quickest way possible.
For my Etna Mode run, I just made a ronin, gave her a nice sword and a triple exp item I made, and went through the whole game with her. When I restarted the game, she was even higher level than laharl :P

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker.
BEST MGS game ever. I'm a fan of strategy elements, and I very much prefer the mission-based gameplay over the classic "huge stealth mission" from the others.
I also have Dissidia and Crisis Core waiting there, but I've no time. How can you be a gamer nowadays?!

Disgaea Stuff
Is it bad that out of my 10 characters only one is using a sword, and that one is Laharl? And why is Mid-Boss such a bitch! I'm guessing the answer to the second one is to make up for the rather crap bosses of the previous two episodes, but still... >.< back to level grinding I go...
In Disgaea, I've found my spear users to be among the most useless, and the sword and gun users the best. Also, my Mages are (finally) starting to pack a punch worth having. My brawlers are okay.
<------ for probably the 7th/8th time.
post=151340I can agree with the spear users, but Axe users are pretty BA. I, for some reason, never use guns, though. I'm more a bow and arrow person (Which are meh...) My party consists of Laharl (sword), Etna (axe), Flonne (Mage...duh), Shana (archer), Dart (sword warrior), Miranda (low level cleric), Celestia (Prism Mage), Clover (Ronin, sword)... I think that's everyone.

EDIT: I think Disgaea talk took over this board.
Haha yeah it does seem like that...
For my party at the moment (Just before the Mid-Boss fight in chapter 4, which is kicking my ass for underlevelling)
Laharl with Sword - Obvious reasons
Etna with Spear - She's keeping up with the other top party members
Flonne with Bow - Find it easier to level than with the staff, but I may reincarnate her in the future to switch to the staff
Hoggmeiser - Slow but his Spinning Slash is is being rather useful for clearing enemies.
and then it's Mennuette - Warrior+Axe, Agares - Brawler+Fists, Oracle - Archer+Bow, Wilheim - Scout+Gun, Haydn - Cleric+Bow and Daphne - Mage+Staff
Highest levels go Laharl and Hogg -> Etna -> Mennuette, Agares, Wilheim -> Flonne, Daphne, Haydn and Oracle
Can you guess my favourite ranged weapon? Shouldn't be too hard...
EDIT: Also, Clone squares are now my nemesis, spec when they clone 4 Laharls >.<
