WHAT VIDEOGAMES ARE YOU PLAYING RIGHT NOW?
Posts
Heh, I haven't logged into DCU in a few months now. Maybe I will one of these days.
My friend showed me this flash game, Multitask. http://www.kongregate.com/games/IcyLime/multitask
It's pretty intense, you have to control 4 things at once o.o What's makes it so hard is that your right hand is controlling something on the left and your left hand controlling something on the right. My highest score is 174.

I'm playing Apollo Justice:Ace Attorney! Um, panty thief...?
Other than that it's just as great as the other one I've played!

Jedi Knight Jedi Academy, this game came to my mind, and if I recall correctly, I had a blast playing it, so I am replaying it (again).
So far I remember all the missions I completed, must have played it more than I thought a few years back. Still great fun though.
I want my double-bladed lightsaber already, bah...

Dragon Age again, maybe this time I will finish it.
But already I am having lots of fun.
*speaks to the king in Ostagar*
King: "Tell me, how is it, living in the alienage? My guards forbid me to go there."
Me: "I killed the Arl's son for raping my friend."
King: "You.....whaaaaaa?"
Priceless.

THIS GAME IS AWWWWWWESOME

A point-and-click adventure of epic proportions. These bridge scenes are cool but the best parts are the away missions.

When I found I could get Dragon Age 2 for about 8 bucks, I jumped at the chance. Currently starting up a rogue. Since he's going to be covered in blood 90% of the time anyway, I decided to make him look as much like Bruce Campbell from Evil Dead/Army of Darkness as possible. To keep with the theme, I will be picking every wiseass, flirtatious, and "badass" conversation tree. I'll save the whitehat stuff for a mage or warrior later. This should be fun. Didn't think to take a picture during character creation, but maybe I'll get one if the "covered in blood for an important conversation" cutscene mechanic from the original returns!
EDIT-

"Maybe, just maybe, my brother can one shot that Ogre. Yeah, and maybe I'm a Dalish Aravel pilot..."
By the way, not the hair I'm actually using, but it looked the best for a picture. Go figure.

Currently playing:
Disgaea: Pretty good so far, and goofy as hell, but I'm having a lot of trouble trying to level up my mages.
Tales of the Abyss: Not as good as Symphonia so far, but still good nonetheless
Muramasa: The Demon Blade: OH MY GOD EYEGASM. I've had to repeatedly stop myself from just standing around and admiring the backgrounds.
Persona: Not really sure why I'm still playing this. The original version was awkward as all hell. Yuki/Yukino and Nate/Kei are awesome, though.
Mega Man Zero 3: Holy shit this series is hard. I got to be pretty good at the X series, and then I came into the Zero series and got my ass handed to me an average of once every 5 minutes.
Baldur's Gate: Found a mod that restores all the content that had to be cut from the game. Nowhere near as much as the BGII mod, but enough to warrant another playthrough. I'm boring as hell, though, so I'm sticking with my Imoen/Minsc/Dynaheir/Branwen/Kivan party that I beat the game with last time.
Last Scenario: Went on a massive RPG Maker game downloading binge a few weeks ago and just picked one at random to play.
Just recently beat:
Mega Man Zero 2: See above
Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations: Holy shit 2-4 was the best case ever.
Bunny Must Die: It's hilarious how, once you unlock Chelsea, you can just steamroll over nearly every boss in the game by just beating them to death with the ladder. That thing is broken as hell.
Metal Slug: Recently picked up Metal Slug Anthology, so I thought I'd give it a run.

Currently playing the shit out of Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner on my newly acquired PS2. Slickest. Game. Ever. Shame about the voice acting. And frequent slowdown. And the annoying boss that I need to grab in order to beat while at the same time preventing it from destroying itself...
Also, a bit of Final Fantasy XII but it hasn't really grabbed my attention yet.

Kingdoms of Amalur on the PS3.... great, great rpg. There are some minor quirks, but it plays smoothly, the combat is fun (skyrim could learn a thing or two from this game), and the world is cool, visually and lore-wise. 20 hours in, and still a huge portion of the map left to explore (doing most of the side-quests prolongs this game a lot I guess, and they are fun...plus I actually managed to fail one quest, with no chance to do it again, since the NPC I had to protect died).
Also, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe on my PSP, one of the best tower defense games, so much content to play through.

Mass Effect 3 was pretty good, except no save option, properly why I died first time against that robot boss. and that damn kid.....
To me, the Mass Effect 3 demo felt a lot better than it played. The opening cinematic and everything gave me that familiar, "oh yeah, this is going to be good" vibe, but as soon as I was put in control, things took a rapid downturn.
Maybe it is just because the only other game I've played recently was Dragon Age 2, but it seems like the camera is even further up the protagonist's ass than in Mass Effect 2. I wasn't sure whether I was supposed to be fighting my way through a horde of Batarian Husks or checking Shepard for polyps.
It seems like the default movement speed is even slower than before. There also seems to be more than a little latency in the controls. By the time Shepard finally decided to go into cover, I had already pushed the button a couple more times, thinking it hadn't registered, only to see Shepard vault the cover, and then dive toward the enemy on the other side.
The "rescue the female Krogan" section was okay, but it still feels like everything is running at about 75% speed compared to Mass Effect 2. I also don't like how Shepard has to physically break cover from the wall before he can shoot at the enemy behind him. If I have the camera turned around and the crosshairs on the guy, the game should be intelligent enough to realize that since I'm not facing the cover anymore, I shouldn't still be WELDED TO IT to such a degree that I can't defend myself.
I really wonder if some of the control latency issues are the result of modifications they made to allow Kinect interfacing.
I'm actually not sure where I am on the whole pre-order thing anymore. Initially, my thought was that no game is worth day and date purchase anymore, since they don't last me that long to begin with. During the opening sequence, I started to get that "wow" feeling the first game gave me when I saw it the first time, and pulled up Amazon to put my pre-order through, then I actually played the demo for a while and closed the tab out thinking, maybe I'll wait a bit.
Not sure if that makes it a good demo or a bad one.

Started playing some Quest for Glory I (VGA version). On the side, Chaos Overlords, Sora no Kisek FC (English PSP version), and occasionally some more Dredmor.
