WHAT VIDEOGAMES ARE YOU PLAYING RIGHT NOW?
Posts
Still playing Tales of the Abyss, more than a month after buying it! Granted, revision's got in the way of play more than a few times, but this game is starting to drag a bit, and I'm becoming less and less interested in the characters' exploits.
Jade is still great, though. I love Jade. <3

A month is nothing. A new game that I bought is lucky if I installed after a month of buying it, let alone played it.
I just bought Binary Domain and Hyperdimension Victory. Too bad Gamestop ran out of box so they had to give me their showcase ones. Bummer. :O
BD seems kinda fun, though. :P

More Borderlands 2. I've come to the conclusion that This is how Krieg should look and sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLtkalEcJus
Gearbox had to remove his rants, though. Made me sad.
I also went and revisited Jade Empire and Morrowind. Two of the best Xbox/PC RPGs ever conceived, I gotta say. They've aged pretty well. Jade Empire even got slightly fancier graphics with the PC release.
On a side note, I really ought to go back to DMC. DMC3 had the most replay value for me. DMC4 was ok, and DmC: Devil May Cry was very well done, but I find it hard to replay them.

I just fully completed Eversion today.
Neat lil' game, heh. 3spooky5me aside, it's rather cleverly designed despite being so short.

Currently playing Final Fantasy 3 on my cell (Note 3). Never have beaten it. Farthest I have gotten is a bit after the World of Ruin where it becomes open ended. Hopefully this time I finish it.
Trying to finish Tales of Xillia before I go back to work so I don't "lose touch" with the game. I'd rather not mess it up like that. I'm about 8 or 9 hours into it, and I'm really enjoying it. The way they updated the classic Tales formula with the recipes, skills, shops and such is brilliant.
Also, I just got the Aviators attachment and now my entire party is wearing them. No regrets 2014.

Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed.
I swear, I have the shittiest luck in this game; most of my races tonight, I was in a decent place until I make a small mistake and/or get hit with something, and I go all the way down to 10th place.
Still fun, though.

I absolutely LOVED A Link Between Worlds, so I've decided to do a second playthrough on Hero Mode. I'm surprised that I'm still discovering new treasures and areas that I somehow either forgot or completely overlooked before! I cannot for the life of me figure out HOW I forgot about the man under the bridge in Hyrule, as I always went there as soon as possible in ALTTP for that extra bottle.
Speaking of Tales of Xillia... I thought it was OKAY, but I definitely preferred Abyss and even Graces F. Rather, I wish I could have combined Xillia's story (just executed a little better)and gameplay with Graces F's environments. Xillia's scenery got stale fast, sadly. I'll definitely be getting Xillia 2 though, as apparently they improved the gameplay and such by a fair bit.

I just hit act three in Tales of Xillia, and I'm not impressed at all. That shit with the lance was the fucking dumbest plot twist I've seen in recent memory. The game keeps getting more and more disappointing by the second and then pulls THAT out it's ass?
Luckily I stopped caring about the story right around when the game did. I'm finishing it for the sake of finishing it at the moment.

Oh wow, your thoughts sure took a nose-dive! Just several posts ago you were thoroughly enjoying yourself. Granted, you were referencing the gameplay, and I'd have to agree that the battles, etc. was the only thing that really kept me playing. Xillia had a lot of POTENTIAL with its story, but I think it was executed in a terrible way.
And by Act 3, do you mean after the small war portion after you? I thought that after that segment everything just fell apart FAST.

fight Gaius, then Jiao dies in the following cutscene
We feel the same way. I was mixed about the story beforehand, but just about the entire thing crumbles into dust at the speed of light.
as soon as Ivar wuts the lance awake and ruins everything because jokes?
Not to mention, all of the villains were lame, Gaius, Nachtigal, etc, and I was hoping for a redemption of that in the final act, but then McGriddle or whatever his name is an alien villain bent on world domination? Excuse me, EXCUSE ME, THIS IS NOT HOW IT WORKS
Also there's the whole thing about this reading like a bad version of Tales of Symphonia.

@Pizza: Yeah, the villains were certainly nothing to write home about. They should have picked one single group and stuck with them for the entire game so we could actually get some meaningful development for the antagonists, but insteD they're switching it up every few hours, so the ones we do face feel shallow and there for the sake of having a villain. I also laughed at the resemblance this game's plot has to Symphonia's, and agree that it's almost like a bad retelling/reimagintion.
Also, on an unrelated note, I noticed upon quick inspection of your profile that you're also from Newfoundland! Awesome to know. Like everyone, I'm going to assume you were a fan of the recent outages? Hahaha =P

@Ephiam: Wut, I had no idea you were from Newfoundland. That's fucking cool. Truth be told my town (on the west coast) didn't get hit that bad with outages, we only had one for a couple of hours. My friend from St. Johns was telling me some horror stories about it though.
LET'S FILL THIS POST WITH PEOPLE FROM THE MARITIMES (I'm in Halifax). I'm assuming that you guys talking about the storm that tracked over the Maritimes Friday/Saturday?
And to make my post be on topic, I have a love/hate relationship with Super Hexagon. I shed so many tears of blood when playing that damn game, but I think that's kind of the point since the easiest difficulty setting is HARD.
