WHAT VIDEOGAMES ARE YOU PLAYING RIGHT NOW?

author=zacheatscrackersauthor=UPRCThat game has rid me of what little sanity I have left.
Super Hexagon.
Goddammit.
But it has some pretty cool music!
Grand Theft Auto V. God Lord this game is fantastic. Is it any wonder it made 1 billion dollars in three days?
Tales of Xillia is next.
Tales of Xillia is next.
Just finished Tales of Xillia. Bleh. A really weak entry in the series.
I'm gonna do a quick run through Milla's story to see if it comes off any better- my friend, who was a fan of the game, had been playing as Milla.
Other than that, next up on the list is Atelier Ayesha... Or perhaps Ni no Kuni?

Got back into Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. And started over from sratch instead of continuing my early High rank save file. Sooo much fun, sooo addicting.
I feel kinda bad about the other games waiting to be played though, like Pokemon X, Project X Zone, Ni No Kuni, Mass Effect 2/3, and others. Sorry games, MH is gonna take a few dozen(hundred) hours, please be patient.
Also STILL playing Diablo 2, I play only offline and I finally managed to get a nice runeword, Rift, for my kicksin. Frozen orbs everywhere, wheeeee. Fun fun.
Also a bit of Rayman Origins/Legends, can't decide which one I like better, but the music levels in Legends are a lot of fun, I find myself replaying them again and again. The bonus music level stage was a letdown though.

@UPRC and Pizza: Yeah, it was fairly hectic here in the city; people should have stocked up on supplies where they were told DAYS IN ADVANCE that not only was a storm coming, but that there was a high probability that the electricity would also go. There were more people on the roads then than any clear, sunny day for God's sake!
And in regards to Milia's side of the story... I'd say that if you didn't really like Jude's side, then Milia's is going to leave an even more sour taste in your mouth. It's much more sparse on any real interesting story details, and the portion after she is SO BORING. I just think that Jude's portion gave a clearer picture of the full story and included the more interesting bits of character interaction, etc.
I absolutely LOVED Ni No Kuni. It is perhaps one of the greatest JRPG's that I've played in a very long time, and was a breath of fresh air after dredging through all of the other games I played beforehand. It has amazing style, a fantastic atmosphere, and is overflowing with charm. However you cannot go in expecting a life-like or realistic story; it takes the storybook/fairy tail approach to things, and everything is FAR more enjoyable once this is realized. Granted, the AI is pretty terrible (for your party members) and the menus can be a hassle to get through at times, but every game has its flaws.

Oh, believe me, that's why I want to play Ni no Kuni (and it is what I'm doing next). I own several collections of fairy tales, and grew up watching Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics on VHS tapes that I came across. I'm a huge fan of that storytelling method. I played a few hours of it before and besides a cumbersome battle system it was stunning.
Playing Pokemon X after getting it as a gift last weekend.
I dunno. I have mixed feelings about it so far. A full 3D Pokemon game is what Pokemon fans have been dying for even since the first gen, and this game utilized it very well. I also loved being able to finally change the look of my character and all those little apps like Amie, Super Training and whatnot available at the start. At the same time, I feel like there were a LOT of bad decisions and polishing issues made with this game, and sometimes they ruin the fun for me.
First, the storyline is feeling pretty dead to me so far, particularly in character personalities. Out of all those friends you meet at the start, I only like Tierno, because he actually has SOME distinguishable personality and he's fat and funny. The rest feel completely boring and lifeless, and not even in a funny way. Shauna in particular wasn't really likable to me, and to make things worse, the game threw in some subtly-romantic cutscene between me (the player) and her, which felt absolutely awkward as the game didn't get me to care about her to begin with. Now I know, story generally means sh*t in Pokemon, but after playing Black & White, which had a slightly more complex storyline and some highly memorable characters, this just felt like a step backwards by comparison. At least Team Flare is hilarious.
Second, horde encounters were terribly, TERRIBLY implemented. B/W at least gave you the option to choose between fighting a standard battle and a tougher, more gimmicky battle. Here, on the other hand, the mass encounters of Roggenrola and Gulpin can happen at any time. While of course you can "use moves that hit multiple Pokemon" to make it less problematic, these damaging moves aren't available early in the game at which hordes appear, with you best options being growl and leer. This, in addition to the hordes liking to spamming accuracy-reducing moves, makes these types of battles needlessly long and tedius. The total exp you get isn't much higher from fighting a single, high-level Pokemon, either, making this whole thing a high risk with little reward. I think I'll just run from every horde from here on.
Lastly, I'm a little on the fence as to how there are so many Pokemon from past games clumped together in this. What made games like Emerald and B/W special to me is that they had some sort of theme, and the Pokemon that appeared reflected that theme. This game throws everything together like some sort of weird hodge-podge, and even though I like having a variety of Pokemon available, especially those like Machop and Pikachu which are among my favorites, it just felt like I was playing some fanboy's ideal Pokemon region rather than something that's distinctive.
I'm also surprised there are no Bug Catcher trainers in this game. Like... Caterpie, Weedle, and even that new trashy worm Pokemon were in this game, and there are NO Bug Catchers? They were excluded last gen, too, so I guess Game Freak hates Bug Catchers now?

I share your concerns, Ratty. I really, really disliked X, which is startling considering how much I love Pokemon in general and how batshit crazy I was about the excellence of B/W & B2/W2.
I've talked with a couple of friends about it, and the best answers we can come up with are the fact that they spent most of their money/effort on making 700+ 3D Pokemon models, not to mention everything else they needed to do update to bring the series into 3D.
The other problem is that we figured they focused too much on pleasing the "MLG" players and updating the meta for competitive shit- think about not only Mega Evolution alone, but the fact that nearly every Pokemon that CAN Mega-Evolve is a favourite among competitive teams.
The clutter of Pokemon in the region is also due to that- I think they added most of the stuff that people use in competitive play into the wild to make it easier to get the teams set up. That's also why you can directly EV train within the game, because so many people preferred to use external tools to get EVs beforehand.
I could go into more detail but I'd rather not spoil anything for you. It was just disappointing- but hopefully it opens the gates for a good Hoenn remake or something.

I've been playing Pokemon X, Yugioh Capsule Monster Colosseum, Yugioh Duelist of the Roses, Pokemon Stadium and Advanced Wars Days of Ruin.
Counter Strike GO on office map. Holy cow, that map is super duper T-sided, and it gets worse with the bad hit detection and your team has no way to push in. :|
Tales of Graces F again. I'm stuck on that big Lastalia area puzzle where you have ot match the floor panels, etc or get switched to the beginning again. Madness.
Just started Hyperdimension Victory today. It's a chill and fun game, but it's really lacking compared to other RPGs. Graphics are about average, gameplay is okay, but the choppy framerate and the lazy map designs can be frustrating. :O
I appear to announce the game I am playing... the Bravely Default demo... that is all...
Well, not really, that demo sure has decent content in it for a demo, way more than when I played the Cross X Zone demo a while back, ha ha. But yeah, I'm heavily anticipating Bravely Default and Bravely Second when that shows up soon.

I just finished the Bravely Default demo a few hours earlier. Here's hoping my classmates get the full version and streetpass me.
Speaking of Bravely Default, I still gotta finish that game (European here :P), but Gam Mak is keeping me busy atm. Other than that, there's Hearthstone that's keeping me busy too.
Earthbound Zero.
It's my first play-through, and I wasn't looking forward to it. Since I'm planning on replaying Earthbound and Mother 3, I thought I'd do things right and give the entire series a play. I'm glad I did. While it's a little rough around the edges, this is easily the best RPG I've played from the NES era. The dialogue is just as quirky as anything from the following games, too.

Here's a hint!
Metal Gear Rising: REVENGEANCE
spoilers: it owns. Raiden is now a cool character, fighting dudes and cutting them up into a hundred pieces is awesome, and when the game clicks and you wreck a boss with no/little damage taken you feel like a badass.
