Digitally adjusted to compensate for shiny and inconsistent graphite.
Pencil, Graphite Stick, Coloured Pencils.
If I had ever used ink in my life and happened to have some, I would have used it.
This was the first picture I did extensive work for with a tablet. Yeah, never used a tablet til now. And come next semester, I won't be doing much with one...cause the one I'm using now is my brother's. I NEED ONE, to say the least.
Also, this image is technically unfinished. Gonna stay that way to, as this was mostly a "test" image to get my hands dirty with using a tablet. Thanks to the tablet, though, my lineart's DEFINITELY better than it was.
The neon-colored highlights on the right side of her head could stand to be taken out; just a few on the left side would've been fine, I think.
EDIT: I hid it because it's kinda large.
Alternately, you can just go to my DA profile and look at it there...since it's smaller and all...

author=alteregoThanks! Glad you like it. And no, I used charcoal. It was a class assignment at my college early last year. I have it proudly framed (18 x 24) in my room.
AllenHunter: Very creepy and compelling at the same time, I can't tell if the bones are correct but I guess that's besides the point, good job. btw, are those pastels or something?

i had a look through all my work today to do a portfolio for my art college interview and it all made me very depressed.
i have a lot less to show than i thought, so i'm doing as much art as i possibly can in the next two weeks. i'm kinda happy with this piece, though i still have anatomy problems...she looks a little like a cyclops haha.
i'm trying as hard as i can to move away from anime/manga but it's very frustrating to do after imitating a certain style for so long

That looks really kick ass. It's not a terrible thing to have a formulated style, what else you got going on?
