Well, okay, I had to change a few events to make things flow a bit better. At least for me, as a developer. Not sure how players would feel about it yet!

Finally, getting my rear in gear. I've finished up my iconset, and now I can proceed to fill up the database entries for spells and equipment. I shall include it below, if only for a dash of hype and self-accomplishment. Had decided to cut the fat and remove two playable characters, as well as revamp how gaining spells'll work.

1. Job system - You have four characters: Fighter, Thief, Black Mage, White Mage (Not their real names or class names). They'll each have their own slew of jobs to pick from (I'm shooting for 6 jobs per person) as you progress in the story. The classes might consist of things like a Magic Knight for Fighter or an Alchemist for White Mage.
2. Custom graphics. No, I'm not creating original resources for this game, but I'm compiling what I think I'd like to use. I'm doing this because I don't want to make an RTP based game. *cough cough Charas Project...*

I'm trying to take my time with this project, as this is the first time I've done something with RM2K3 since VXA's American release. I have deadlines for specific things I'd like to have done, or else they won't get done due to my lazyness, but I'll see how things work out.

Ugh… You know that type of feeling when you’re coding something, say, like a custom menu, and you just happen that in order to complete something in it that you have to spend a godly amount of time replacing several numbers in each different string about sixty times over and you can’t just speed through it nonchalantly otherwise you might screw up something…

Yeah, that’s what I’ve been doing for the past week. So boring, but it has to get done.


Busy with my FE game with a twist. XD Spent the last few days working on the character selection screen. Still have to do the data entries for another 9 or so chars ( out of 48 possible characters ). Had the thing planned for more than a year, so yeah...

Speaking of those menus…

Looks pretty good, yuna21, but is it possible to make the portraits of the faces a bit bigger, or have a full picture of their portrait maybe appearing in the bottom right corner with some information about that character once you highlight or select it? Also, did you happen to event this or script it? Again, It doesn’t look too shabby right about now.
Putting my game on standby to help out with Fire Emblem hacking! As if my game needed to be put on standby more right!? @_@:;
@Addit: The character info and portrait appears once you click on the mini portrait ( mouse support? Yep ). And it's evented. Not scripted. XD

Finished the battle sprites for Volice in Pokemon RMN Version.



Also Icons for both Miceberg and Volice:

I reasoned Volice is capable of standing upright. :P

In addition to these sprites, I made volume adjustments to Jayje's Atmana evo cries and imported them into the game.

Now, I'm doing a bit of research on the PokeGear in Essentials to figure out how to edit it.
I'm assuming they're both Ice-Types because their names are Miceberg and Volice and they arguably look like rodents from the Ice Age?

They are Ground/Ice types in particular. It's sad because every starter can kill it with such ease in Route 1. :(
Finished up the final boss yesterday, currently working on the ending. Instead of flat-out making multiple endings specifically, I decided to take a cue from the first game in my series and just make it so the ending changes depending on your choices; thought it'd work better that way.

After that, gotta do the rest of the stuff that I already covered in a previous post. I'll try to post updates on my game page sometime today.
I'm thinking of changing the character select screen to look more like the images below ( they're the average stat class role that plays if the game idles at the title screen ).

Bit I'd probably have to resize the faces a bit. 64x64 is a mite big right now for normal character selection. And no, these units are not broken. The foes they fight are at least Lvl 55. XD
Making a new version of a old sprite.

Spriting...Lots of spriting. I don't have enough variety in my NPCs and I don't really want to reuse them more than necessary.
