I am reworking title screen.

But maybe I should rework a logo now, it was fitting to old title. Not so sure here - thats always unhappy syndrome. I guess its fine.

Geeeeeezzzz, I've spent a couple full days on coding the game's new mechanics and my brains just cannot handle this anymore. I need to take a break. The game is becoming too complicated for my sake with all the different characters, etc. D:
I'm trying to figure out how to code a shop system for my first game, and seems like it might be a lot more work than I initially thought. :(
@Tuomo That looks very neat!
@PhantasmaX Keep practicing and you'll get there! Worst case scenario you use someone else's script.

Nearly done with the dialogue/eventing in Hokkai, meaning I'm almost at the final 3 dungeons of the game! Eventing/dialogue for the upcoming mini-dungeon isn't going to take that long nor be that hard to do I think, and neither should the dialogue or eventing for End of Gensokyo or The Void (though I have to change up some stuff at The Void due to some changes at Hokkai). Nearing the time where I have only the final dungeon left to do~ And a lot of fixing and adjusting and the like. Much thanks to LockeZ for his help in fixing things up and doing the videos he has (I didn't change EVERYTHING he suggested, but I did fix a lot of bugs/glitches as well as maps thanks to him, and had some really old stuff updated thanks to him as well~).
Would anyone have any suggestions for how to handle sidequests? Originally I was going to have like a "bulletin board" system, using NPCs, but I'm not sure that's the best way to do it. It was meant to be a system where after doing one sidequest, you'd get rewards for it (either from the person requesting help or whatever, or for beating the boss or whatnot), and then you'd go back to the NPC to get the next one, and so on and so forth, and more would be added as the game goes on. I also don't know how many sidequests I'd like to have too, since the game is already ridiculously long (60 hours on my end, about 90-95% through the game, 55 hours on Locke's end, and he's only at the 50-60% point of the game). ^^;
I'm also trying to cut down on music again. 669 MB > 636 MB just from those 9 songs removed from the game. So much music needing to be axed but not sure what to axe! Only 186 tracks left! T-T

Hey, I'm started making an rpg horror game yesterday, YESTERDAY. So it basically means I haven't done anything yet. But I have always known the story in my head for a few years back. It's going to feature mystery, horror, murder, and stuff. I'm using rpg maker MV, it's my first time so it's going to be a bit simple. And I thought about the title, it's gonna be "Een belofte". Look forward to it.
So, right, I made a tumblr (though it's still empty right now...) and here it is
https://asnera.tumblr.com/ that's the link, please look forward to more updates!!! (If I'm not busy at school that is...)

I've begun to work properly on my horror project again. Writing a proper story script for it and testing out some mechanics and other gimmicks to see how well they scare.

I finally started the code work on my shop system. Taking the time to just sit down and think about it for a week helped a lot. It also wasn't as bad as I thought due to some of my inventory scripts I wrote being usable with a little editing :)
Trying to puzzle out how to convert tilesets and map/background rips from Spriters Resource to workable useable tile sets/maps for my Lunar fan game whilst I take a break from spriting.
168 for main game + 276 MB for vanilla music = 444 MB overall. +68 MB on top of that = 512 MB total. That's how big my game currently is. Yes, I cut out a LOT of music. I currently have 105 tracks in the game, cut down from a whopping 180-200 tracks. Is this more acceptable than the 1 GB monstrosity the game used to be? lol
Outside of that...still working on cutscenes for the game and the like, nothing too major. I just really, REALLY wanted to get the music cut down finally, and took the time to sit down and see what really needed to go. ^^;

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Xenomic your poor avatar
Yes, I know. It's like that in a lot of places, because Photobucket. RIP Tiki, I just haven't gotten around to fixing it yet because reasons. ^^;
I am working on story. Made new prologue but i have to change quite a lot of dialogues because of this one. Its not in English but... Translation is planned, if things go well - I wanted to add one more scene to this, but not so sure now, it quite works well. I still have to change plenty of dialogues now because of this late-added intro.
By the way music is placeholder, I found it on hdd but I cant recognize it or the source. Anyone recognize the music ? I d like to have it as reference for music composer, its mysterious, melodic.
@Thanks narcodis!
I tried to make font more readable, so I changed it and added background, not sure which one is better. But maybe this second version is.

Wow, that looks really great. The colors, the character sprites, all of it looks really awesome, especially the backgrounds.
If I had one criticism, I'd say the bird animations looks a little wonky. Right now their heads rapidly bob up-and-down as they flap their wings, when typically a bird's head stays stationary when flying.
But that's a nitpick... it looks great!
