I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

My lead portrait artist is back in the game. Jake did another excellent music piece, and now I have to work on assignments, ugh!

Which means working on Boned. Implemented proper intro, added more optional dialogue and am currently making the big map in which it all takes place on.

Here's a quick look at that.

I've got it all planned out in a sketchbook flowchart already so its just mapping and eventing.

Die, sprites, die!!!

Most of them have walking animations, btw. The lower set of NPCs were done in a generator I made in a gfx editor ( Paint Shop Pro 8 ), so they're not as detailed as PCs/important characters. >< No female NPCs since I haven't even started on them yet...

Lookin' good, guys!

1. I love the look of the environments/tiles, but the sprite seems a little small. He could stand for a 15-25 percent upscale I think (if that's even possible within your game at this point). He's just not quite salient enough to be that small, IMO, especially with the game being black-and-white. But it still looks cool.

2. I like the sprites. Some of the arms look a little stiff and whatnot, but that might be remedied in the walking animations.

Boned actually looks quite beautiful, BizarreMonkey. I think it's your most beautiful game by far, to be honest. It's just so stark and simple.

Edit: Also... yay, new Yuusha! And cool portraits by Luchino.

Boned is appealing because being restricted to only two colors means there's essentially no way it can be inconsistent. The fault most of my games possess is that several different artists work on the same thing, which can look a little messy.

Boned is all done by my mspaint hand and a bit of gimp editing. I must admit it's been fun, though surprisingly not all that challenging, working in only two colors.

@Dec: I don't have time right now to resize him, but if I do a public release I may rescale him and his parents to be of a more grown stature. Though he's already 32x48, and I do love his goofy running animation, so I may not do that.

Finally getting back to work on implementing mechanics and puzzles for Account Mu. It's only been, what, 6 months? Hopefully this is an indication for progress in the future. I'm really wanting to make a lot of progress on this game. I've also been thinking about story elements, and it's starting to come together into an emotional package quite nicely.

By the way, the new mechanic is the Time Step Counter. It has a preset number that it counts down from each time you step, and once it surpasses a limit, it turns into a solid impassable block. In essence, it will force you to count your steps while you solve the puzzle.
...Still updating enemies/bosses after all this time! However, only got 8 bosses to really update (if they need it) for beta4, then it's all new content for beta5! 2 dungeons left to map out, a couple puzzles to event, a lot of bosses/enemies/treasures to put in, and beta5 will be ready to go! I'm really, REALLY hoping that the wait for beta5 is really worth it after 3-4 years of nothing new for the game. I know that "feature creeping" is something that people go ugh with in this game, but with all the updates I've done and everything, I'm really hoping it makes the game stand out a lot more, and make it seem a LOT better and more in-depth than it used to be. ^^;

I'm currently laying down plans to make a short (very short) puzzle-adventure game based on characters from another game I made a long time ago that I only shared to a very tiny community of people (mostly because both the intro and the ending were in extremely bad taste, so I'd rather not even mention it).

I'm all set in what concerns coding in the custom stuff (in RM2K3) but I'm having a hard time convincing myself that I'll need to ask for help in the graphics department.

Anyway it's called CyberCore and it's sci-fi, as of right now I'm utilizing moghunter's ATB script and several other scripts.This is my first game I AM planning on completing it with at least 60+ hours of content, it focuses on human experimentation, suffering, technology, aliens, space, discovery, the government, and Earth itself.Aside from this I plan for the story to be dark but also heartwarming with characters that each have their own stories and problems as well as pasts.
Ok I typed more than I expected, but I needed to clear my head somehow for this looooooooong event I'm about to make before I go to sleep so,yeah.

Really hating that, somehow, there are no such things as pews in the RTP tilesets. How the hell am I supposed to church?

Part of me wants to not care considering the player isn't gonna spend that much time in that area, anyways..

Some good news on my end, school has finished, and only just today, so PFC will go into full gear development tomorrow.

My moment is finally here, to work on gam mak.

Jake did a couple more radical songs.

Xiie did a redefinition of Esperia but its too WIP to show right now.

I personally have been writing much out, storyboarding all kinds of stuff for all sorts of games, the trailer for 314th Clash is one that's been on my mind lately, during the bus ride today I thought of some neat ideas for the future, while at home playing Dragomon to Black Water, I was inspired to write a speech since while Kadaj is an annoying character, that asshole can talk. Though I think the music speaks better of why it would be good for a spiel by my dimensional-anomalous future-self. It sort of yells Anarchy at my face and then shits anarchy down my throat.

I'm off, sans one innocuous feedback friday-- until late February. Lib oughta know, College breaks in Australia are exceedingly generous.
I've never tried doing custom battle animations before. Thought I would give them a quick go.

Also, did anyone else find it odd at first that the damage popups in MV are tied to an image file rather than a font? But with enough fiddling, I managed to draw my own:
