THE SCREENSHOT TOPIC RETURNS

Making this custom tile set which you might notice is heavily influenced by gba zelda games. I'm not making a zelda game but rather taking the elements I like and adding in some of my own. The char sprite is a placeholder.
Wow the simplicity of that screenshot is nice! I'm not so sure those leaves fit, they are brighter than the rest of the scene. Hopefully that pure-black is also placeholder, if not it could benefit from being a dark green.
I think the leaves could use some kind of dithering or something to blend with the darkness. For now they look like they are glued on.

Or maybe you could just make it all leafy? That darkness is, excuse me if I sound rude, an eyesore. It detracts from the rest of the map because it's so dark. I didn't even realize what it was at first.
Wtf my screens where jsut totally ignored. Quoting them >:c
author=Felipe_9595Another experiment with parallax. Indeed is the other side of my previous parallax experiment xP
Dude that is so tacky. First of all, at least give it a page or so before you feel ignored. Second, even if your screens don't get commented on, which happens, so the fuck what. Try again in a page or two.
author=Feldschlacht IVi think you should use those mini sand dunes a little more sparingly. aren't there any plainer sand tiles you can use? semi-transparent shadows might work a little better, too. stick 'em on a charset and go to work

As it is, it already seems I see those screenshots everywhere I go. And I know you did in fact get several comments in other places. Man, I don't know what more you want.

I just leave this here and go about my day. Bye. :p I taken the screenshot ingame, and using F5 to minimize it.
I gone boredom without posting anything more anyway.

-new face-set

-do waterfalls really look like this?
-try to work with references
-look at some other games that use this chip-set and practice

author=NewBlackHalp, I have no idea what the hell I'm doing.
never used vx before but I know that people who live in a 1 room house don't own a piano

chip-set edit & light map
I love seeing completely mismatching facesets especially when people don't even bother to edit the hair color.
Welp, in regards to my screenshot. It's not from a game, it's just my first ever use of VX. Also considering the completely outlandish nature of RPGs in general I find it funny you'd pick on the socio-economic status of an NPC being incongruous with his potential for piano ownership as a flaw :D :P

Yep, the facesets is pretty much used from the large portraits of the characters.
The waterfall is best I can do, seeing as the chipset is a refmap one, but it's edited one, has some limited stuff. Should put some fishes in there.
