@Mr_D: Two tiles seem better in my opinion, too. The car thing could turn into a cute little minigame. I like the idea. For example: Hero/ine has to save another cat on the other side of the road. Whilst crossing it, he/she has to avoid the moving cars. Kinda like these really old-school games we had back in the day. xD

Just the cliffs behind the shop feel a bit weird how they're "hugging" the shops. I was a little confused by what was going on there lol thought the shop pixels just had the grass bg instead of transparency.

(Placement window still needs to get modified/moved)
Changing up the battle hud. Feel like it's still missing something. Maybe if I changed the back bars from the hp/mp to actual gradients bars.

OK, so I edited the map and cut back the cluster mess of plants. But there's another issue: the player can actually go through the car tile. The car is an event tile, so you can't go through the middle part of it. How should I fix this? :O

As a mini game, that might work. But what about during normal situation? :P
Invisible "Same as Hero" events on both sides. Easy pie.

Newest Screenshot of The Haunted World: Hell's Gate. This time, featuring:

- Priam, drawn by LuneaMaster on deviantart (my artist~) and colored by me (for now), even though LuneaMaster could color 100% better than me
- My self made Window skin with a little black heart as the bobbing arrow
- My self drawn, poor little background
- That awesome custom font I found on the internet, which is completely free to use, called 'Spirit'
- Some all buddy-buddy dialogue from Priam with his catchphrase "No fake!" :D

The second-last sentence sounds so strange. I already fixed it, though. Please point out other mistakes if you find them. English isn't my native language after all. :)

@Mr_D: Mhm...getting hit by a car could take away some of your HP, I guess. :)

Setting the event to "above hero" should do the trick. Also, nice looking picture! I'd suggest playing with the contrast of the RTP graphics because they look more dull and soft than the custom stuff. The perspective on the dumpster also looks a little off to me.

And the ability to summon the "Office Whores" to deal damage to the enemies.

Here's a little beta of what I was doing with my FPS view crap. lol
I know there are glitches here and there, but please tell me your opinions :)

The reason I did not inflict any damage to him is because I faced a glitch, but I am gonna write about it in another topic.
The screenshots gave me a really "meh" feeling, but after watching video I can say they don't do the game justice. Gotta say that's looking pretty awesome so far.

Here's the latest incarnation of my character creation screen, recolored(and redesigned in accordance with some game changes).

I switched to a darker palette to match the character sprites better. I also changed the system and font slightly to match this change - The font is -much- easier on the eyes now. You've also probably noticed the lack of Robots. Suffice to say I've decided it's best to keep them out of the game(for now) in order to improve the quality of everything else first.

Oh, and those blank squares below the races will show each party member as you choose them.
Thanks for the fix, guys. :P

This is a little embarrassing, but can someone give me some tips on making this building looks more interesting? I didn't know what to do so I just made it a typical bland and generic building. XD
Puddor

Maybe reference the actual P4 Junes a bit? It has the main store front, but it also has a series of foodstalls as well, along with seating areas with shade. Sale promo posters on the windows will also create visual interest.
Here's a menu shot for my Game Chill 2014 game, that I wasn't able to finish on time, unfortunately.

@Rast: Looks a lot better now, but why are you using two different blue tones for your windows? I'd change them all to the lighter one.
Those poirtraits are freaking adorable. What's the game made in?
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Mr_Detective: Those are supposed to be glass walls, right? Maybe make the glass transparent so you can see what's inside the building? Otherwise it's probably fine as long as there's stuff around the outside of the building.

DISCLAIMER: I just dug up this old "game" I made many years ago(think around '03-'04). This was from the first project I ever made. Bask in it's stereotypical grammatically horrible glory!

I actually had a somewhat decent(for how young I was) story set up for it, but I didn't plan anything(generally a bad idea), made heavy use of the RTP and rushed it. I recently played through it and laughed at myself through most of the game.

Even more hilarious was my abrupt ending followed by the promise of a sequel and/or expansion.
Look at this one and say that again:

Though it does make me wish I'd done my current project in RM2K instead of 2003. I much prefered 2K's battle system to 2003. Choosing all of your attacks at once and going through the text-based explanation of what happens is, IMO, much better(and better from a tactical point of view) than the ATB system.
