THE FEATURED GAME THREAD
Posts
I'll grant that Neon Lightning Force is probably the only example of an OpenBOR game on site, and is notable because of that. The two reviews it has are quite positive, making it so that it can come up in the "Highly Rated" rotation. I also seem to remember a comment about it using OpenBOR's equivalent to RTP? Even if that were true, the images the game presents on it's page are still impressive to look at. I could be misremembering the comment, and what it was complaining about, though.
I downloaded it to give a look (I do that when you guys rec games XD ) but haven't tried it yet. Trash Planet, tho, looks pretty promising.
Neon Lightning Force would be like if we put a game with sample maps and non-changed database defaults on the front page. Doesn't matter the engine, it's pretty much the same thing. So while I, not knowing when I talked about it initially that it was all defaults, liked it, it's definitely not front page material.

After AILA, the original one and Red Syndrome never got featured and they are both highly regarded games from a classic RPG Maker developer.
The Way
Fear and Hunger would deserve to be the one commercial game featured this year.
I guess Aegis_Drakan's games are good, usually too small to get featured games, but Glories of the Hunt could be a good opportunity to spotlight a game from the recent event and his tight game design. Also, it would be cool to feature a game, which is more about gameplay than nice looks.

Fairie Krystal (Highly Rated)
The Kidnapping of Princess Pri
Home
Fear and Hunger
Two Strangers
King of Greyscale
The Wizards Tower
Moonsong
Alter AILA
Red Syndrome
The Way (it didn't get a feature?! well, dang)
Glories of the Hunt
I was gonna play a few of these to get an idea of how they play/quality/etc but the first one I loaded up was Moonsong and I ended up playing it for about 5 hours before bed so... WELP!
Made Therapist the choice since we've been a little heavy on the RPGs. Next month will likely be Red Syndrome since it's as close to a horror game as is on this list. Unless someone puts out a better horror game between now and then or someone draws my attention to one that deserves the spot instead. October is for spoops~ (if we have 'em)

Oh my goodness, thank you for the front-page feature. :o I'm honored.
Well, that's one more thing to cross off the bucket list! :)
Thank you so much for those kind words, Cap! <3

If y'all wanna feature Trash Planet and need images of specific sizes, just send me a DM. I have a bunch of promo material lying around for various websites. Thanks for your consideration!
So, uh, we should probably change the Featured Game for October! Sorry if I can't provide any valuable input as to what to feature.
I think Libs already had a Halloween-themed game in mind.
If not, Moonsong : First Verse is a notable candidate.

Oh my. Thank you for the front-page feature! This came out of nowhere! I need to start paying more attention to how my game pages look if stuff like this is possible :O
Oh! While it's on my mind, let's add Skydancer to the list of contenders.

I have some things to nominate.
Some Weird and Unfortunate Things are Happening.
Oh, yeah, absolutely. I think it was practically a forgone conclusion when it got into the "Complete" status that it would be in the consideration.
Yeah I'm 100% cool with giving next month to someone else. W&U has gotten plenty of attention already.
I am in no way insinuating that W&U being in the dev spot for as long as it has discredits it as being a very solid candidate as the Nov Feature, I just play devils advocate hard when it comes to getting everyone a chance in the spotlight.
That being said, if there aren't any rockstar candidates that could fill the role, then by all means.

Seriously though, Weird and Unfortunate has been on the top Buzzing spot for like over a day. I think most people know it's out now. I would be perfectly happy saving it for later when there are less options or even saving it for a month where the page doesn't get changed in time or something.
