LOOKING FOR A GOOD RPG MAKER GAME TO PLAY.

I'm looking for a good Rpg Maker game to play. I'm looking for something with a deep, epic, dark, and serious "oh shit" storyline. Something along the lines of: Taking on a government, taking on the world, taking on the universe, taking on some threat that you have no idea how the characters can possibly win, something like that.

I'd prefer if it was either modern or futuristic/sci-fi themed. It doesn't have to be, though. I've listed some examples:

***For those who have seen the anime Gurren Lagann: The prologue/first scene of the series showed the characters really far into the story chronologically. They were in deep space with millions of stars everywhere. They mentioned how "all the lights in the heavens were there enemy." Tons of shit was going down, and they had to take it all on. (Then the rest of the series went years back in time.)

***A Blurred Line, how the whole Agency, plus the ridiculous/mysterious "Kersh" guy, all after Talan. As well as the prologue showing that something terrible happens to the world. And tons of weird plot twists along the way.

***The anime/manga One Piece, although not futuristic, the main characters eventually decide to take on the entire World Government. Wanted posters are everywhere, with incredibly high bounties on their head. Basically, the world becomes their enemy.

Yeah... Are there any good Rpg Maker games like this?

Try this http://rpgmaker.net/games/272/

Looks pretty interesting. I might give it a try. I read some reviews but they give out much information about the story, other than you escape from prison and you're in a post-apocalyptic world. Does the story get really epic or anything?
I haven't played it (I don't play games often, but when i do, they are 10 year old games)

"However, the storyline that Neok has come up with is brilliant and I don’t have enough praise for it. The twists and turns from start to finish are well timed, well plotted and never manage to seem (too) forced. The game manages to grab you early on and then makes sure you keep playing through what can only be described as a roller-coaster ride. I loved every minute of it." ~ one of the reviews

Oh, I didn't read that review. It sounds pretty good, then. I'll definitely give this a try soon, thanks.

Dhux's Scar is pretty epic, dark and sometimes gory, with weird plot twists and tons of over-the-top-ness.

I have a feeling that you would enjoy Balmung Cycle or Forever's End.
