A country with a very strange constitution. Due to Amonena's historical laws, a cat has been elected as their head of state. This has never happened before. Yet when a single apathetic citizen, with nothing else to do, decided to put forth their pet as a potential candidate for Prime Minister, there was no thought among the public of taking any movement, protest, or action against it.

Who would have so little faith in Amonena's leadership that they'd cast their vote for a feline?

Now, though, things have started to go downhill in the corridors of the government. The deputy Prime Minister, Weston, has now got full control over access to the cat. No one can see the cat, except by Weston's approval.

The opposition leader, Penny Bradelgast, has been interviewed on national television about this problem, and the fool who nominated this cat in the first place, has made up their mind to meet her, and try to return things to a state of normality in the politics of Amonena. Of course, they'd never tell Ms Bradelgast that they were the one who started all this chaos.

It seems that the cat couldn't care less about ruling the country. Weston has held the position of Prime Minister before, but what is he trying to get out of it this time?

Yet another update, a special thanks to Prajna and TheRpgmakerAddict

Hi everyone, here's another update for Every Vote Counts

A special thanks to Prajna and TheRpgmakerAddict for the bugs and other issues which needed fixing in the game! :)

The list of fixes/changes are

  • The quest for delivering Cindy's flyers for her hair salon business can now be properly completed.

  • After several attempts trying to get Penny's Training Day skill to work, I decided to change it to Self-Promotion. This skill triples Penny's attack power but only for a few turns.

  • Saldaburg can no longer be accessed prematurely. The events at the hydro electric dam have to be completed first.

  • Drakenford can no longer be exited by the south road until all the events in the town have been completed. Access is also restricted from the water treatment plant / rubbish dump side.

Thanks Prajna for pointing these out!

  • A detailed map, along with directions, are brought up each time the journal is activated.

  • The puzzles in the data centre are now easier to work out, with shiny sparkles over the "objects" in the rooms, and an explanation and answer given for the first puzzle in the dungeon.

Thanks TheRpgmakerAddict for pointing these out! (and thanks for the review) :)

Other changes made

  • Small dialogue changes - usually relating to grammar and typos.

  • Mirikov's "Mana Drain" spell now absorbs MP - Doesn't deal damage to HP.

  • There is now a second attendant in the game room under The Silly Old Duffer. She will exchange your Battle Points for Amonei if you want. 1 BP - 10 Amonei.

And just one final note - Have you picked up on the references I inserted into the game? Here's a list of them.

  • The Simpsons: The Acids and Bases line from "Bart the Genius" where he causes an explosion from the experiment. Who knows how that happened.

  • The Simpsons: Professor Frink's flying motorcycle.

  • The Simpsons: Chief Wiggum's comment at the Great Chili Cook-off "That Simpson, he thinks he's the pope of Chili Town". Hence the papal robe you have a chance of getting from the red chili in Bergaln.

  • The Little Mermaid - Lily's comment about her mermaid friend having daddy issues, just like Ariel and Triton.

  • The song by The Beatles "Lovely Rita Meter Maid" - Rita's employment was being a Meter Maid.

Well, I think that's everything

Cheers, MoonWolfV

Hi Prajna, I appreciate the feedback. I'm beginning to work on fixing the bugs and playing through the game again.

Might take a little bit longer than I usually do, trying to take a less stressful approach to this hobby now. I have to remind myself IT ISN'T A JOB / IT'S FOR FUN! :)
