Some creepy presence lurks deep in the snowy mountains. Locals have been living a series of strange abductions, but none of them were brave enough to do anything. Until the day our main protagonist lost his dog.

Powered by little more than his fists, he's determined to break through the frozen wastes into the heart of the forest just to get his best friend back.

Defeat every enemy and solve every puzzle cutting your way in this short-lenghtened RPG.

Features:

  • An action command-based system that allows the player to enhace the power of their skills and to evade enemy attacks by performing the right actions.

  • Mashes classic pixel art and digitalized pictures of clay models for a unique art style.

  • Linear progress with an open map design, made to emphasize the exploration feel.

  • ~2 hours and a half of gameplay (this may change once the game's out)

  • A dreadful feeling of loneliness that slowly devours anything crossing its path just to leave an empty husk.

  • Cute ducks.

This seems pretty cool. I quite like the atmosphere and graphics.

The digitalized maps remind me of Moon RPG Remix.

Edit: wanted to try out the game but I can't extract it. I don't have a program compatible with ".rar" (only ".zip" and "7zip"). Tried several online extractors and they also didn't work.

Thanks for the kind comment. My main inspiration for the style was Hylics, but I've played Moon as well so you're not wrong at all.

Version 1.1 was added as a .exe so you can now play without worrying about extracting.
For such an original looking game, this sure is flying under the radar. I think I'll check it out when I have time later today/tomorrow!

Glad you think that about my game. The reason why it's not getting much attention could probably be because I'm kinda new to game making, so I don't have the resources to advertise it properly.
Hello. Nice game so far, simple but funny, and with cool puzzles. I found only one mistake (This is in version 1.6): at the shop the HP Potion costs 12 and the HP Potion Plus just 6.
I am pretty sure it should be the opposite, anyway everything else is good! :D
ok, sadly it's bug time! After fighting a boss, when I arrive at the looong rope, after the cutscene that shows the rope, this happens...

and the doggo is stuck!

First of all, thank you for taking the time to report bugs, feedback is greatly appreciated.

And second, could you describe what were you doing before getting stuck like that? I've been thinking for a while and couldn't realize what could've caused this.

I was trying to climb the rope (not visible on the pic, it is just north of the three retired spikes after a monster that.. is no more because I killed it). I climb and exit the screen, entering the next one that has the camera moving up and then it goes to that image. If you want and can help I have the savegame (for version 1.6) in front of the rope. It is the cutscene that leads to that...dunno why

Oh, I've discovered what's wrong, I'm so sorry for this. If you have a save where you're not stuck you should be able to continue your game as soon as I launch v1.7.

Great!!!
Yeah, no worries I have it. It's just 1 hour into the game still, it's better than restarting!
The end of this game broke me.

I had a great experience playing it. Excellent work.

Glad to hear that, I did put a lot of effort on making the experience as enjoyable as possible.

Also, for anyone who played the game: I would apreciate to get some reviews, it may help the game to grow.

Do not worry, I was already working on it, if I can finish it soon I'll do that.
(And now that 1.7 works I hope nothing will stop me)

edit: finished! Heh last part was more difficult but not bad at all. I won't say anything about the ending, anyway game started ok and become better and better going on.
