Demo soonish (maybe)

I've been considering of getting a demo out in the next month, routhly of ten minutes of gameplay. Saying that that is all well and good, but should I release something unpolished or work really hard on touching it up.. It's a good point in game devoplment as should you create complete segments of gameplay as you go along?

Or concentrate on getting a quick rough overview of the game made then doing all the polishing near the end?

I like to flirt between the two concepts but I've been doing alot of time on the former of devoplment cycles.
Plus if it was the latter you could very easily get mixed up in what goes where, make simple mistakes and even misplace a tileset or two if you have more than one of the same maps.

Therefore creating a inconsistant game. It might be easy with some people or a complete breakdown for others.. so I think the best bet is that you should 100% finish a map first before making a copy of it, in which case you can chose what you want to change in the second copy e.g fire effects for a burning village etc etc whilst maintaining the consistancie of that said map.

You certainity don't want a Villager Npc that you never seen before suddenly appearing when your hometown is burning to the ground.. you'll end up suspecting him of arson
