I thought about posting this on my art blog, since it is sort of relevant to artists in general. But, frak it.

DMC(rale thug) is a cartoonist who appeared in the indie scene around 07 or 08 I'm not sure. He's produced
quite a few freeware games:

Night Life
Golden Pearl
Sprite Chaser
Captain Cool

but seems to have vanished
into obscurity from the indie game scene. To say the least his games have
sort of never caught on for reasons unknown. I have tried locating his art portfolio but it seems to not
exist in cyberspace, which is kind of a shame because I totally dig his art!

His main finished project is called Night Life. Which blends a little bit of everything that I like: Punk babes
and some rockin' jams! With your trusted guitar in hand you jam your way through various levels bouncing your note hitting objects/enemies until they're all destroyed. For what it's
worth, it's a pretty entertaining game if you have 15 minutes to kill. It's pretty addicting, and you find
yourself getting lost in the cartoony atmosphere and detailed backgrounds. It's a great pick up and play game
that is actually quite challenging(I have not beat it yet). Overall, it's a really polished game, that didn't
quite catch on with people in 07/08.


DMC had a site available ages ago about Night Life. It's pretty sad that it isn't around anymore because he
had these posters and plush dolls of his game characters. When you entered the site you sort of got a vibe
that he was very happy with what he created, and it was really just about the process of creation and enjoying
his characters. Don't see that much anymore! Thankfully I've found a couple of download links for Night Life and Golden Pearl(Shmup). Give it a spin if you got a few minutes to kill.
