-Story-
A long time ago, when the word was still young, the lad was seperated into seven kingdoms. The Elders of Star Haven foresaw conflict between the kingdoms as the greediness of the people became aparent. These elders requested a meeting with the original rulers of each of the kingdoms. They became Sages, guardians of their respective lands, and were sent back to the world as representatives from Star Haven.

Now, the Sages are long gone but their spirits live on in Seven Monuments. Legend has it that the key to peace with the kingdoms lies in the power of the Sages.

Many have learned of the power that could be obtained by taking control of these objects, and therefore taking control of the Sages. Two unknown villains have been reported sneaking around recently...

-Features-
-Badge System
-Random battle power-ups a la SMRPG
-Power Suit System (Class changing) with 9 different suits, each with each own special abilities
-Sage Power moves
-Hammer, Jumping, and many other field skills from the Mario series
-Funny dialogue in the ballpark of the M&L and Paper Mario series
-A mash up of all the Mario RPG's, in a sense

I'm sorry, there's not much I can do for you? It's just a little bit frustrating for me as a developer who can't figure out why a cutscene will work on one guy's computer and not another's considering this game is two years old and has been beaten plenty of times in that period.

However, if you want to give it another go, send me your save file. I'll do the part for you and save right after.

I'd rather just fix the problem directly. And why does it give me that "Sin Titulo" & Not Implemented error? It's probably something wrong with the mini game's map. I looked up Sin Titulo & apparently it means without title or untitled. I assume it's saying that the mini game's map doesn't have the proper name or any name at all. This would be alot simpler if I could view the map files to see & maybe correct the problem directly. Even if you do move me past that point, what good would that do if it happens again? Just explain why that weird error comes up.

Since I'm no longer getting any support to get around this problem this game is officially dead to me! Next time try making a game that doesn't have any game breaking glitches! Peace out!
First, no one's going to miss you, so kindly piss off.

Secondly, it was pretty simple. Just re-download the game and the patch file. Take your old save file (it should probably be in your "My Documents" folder under a folder that shares the game name but only contains a save file) and copy it onto your desktop temporarily (follow this up with deleting the old save folder just to be safe). Then, install version 1.5.0 and then run the 1.6.1 patch and when it tells you where to apply the patch, select the game's folder.

After that, start up the game and it should create another save folder in "My Documents", and copy your old save files over to this folder. Your game should now work properly (seeing as how no one else has encountered this problem with a pure game) and your save file should be recognized.

Simple, yeah?
NO! IT'S NOT SIMPLE!!! I DELETED ALL THE OLD FILES & DOWNLOADED A NEW COPY OF THE GAME & THE PATCH & THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE! SO YOU PISS OFF SMARTASS!!!

No one else is having this problem, and it looks like it's never been brought up (or not for a long time, at least), so clearly it's a problem with your computer/internet or your virus detection software perhaps deleting files without you knowing.

That used to be a problem with another game I was playing, then I had enough & uninstalled my antivirus program, so that can't be the case. Besides, from what the error says, it sounds like a problem with not finding the name of the particular map since Sin Titulo means Without Title or Untitled. Not only that, but the map files don't physically exist in any of the folders which means they exist internally within the executable itself & there for the maps couldn't be messed with by my computer.
Do you have "MiniGame-PipePanic2" in the panorama folder?

Yes. And I checked again after that and it still crashes. I should also mention that the Sin Titulo - Not Implemented error pops up not just once, but spams over 30+ times before my computer tells me that an error occured & the game stop functioning.
What's the last thing you hear/see before the Sin Titulo appears?
You can also check to see if you have these:

Bloshi in CharSets
MariobrosPhase1 in Music

But I don't think you'd be able to get as far as you did without those files...

Now that you've provided some more information I think I can help a bit. Certain MP3s can give a NOT IMPLEMENTED error that spams across the screen.

I have seen this issue, but infrequently. It seems to be related to an MP3 encoding issue and not having a proper way to decode/play the file. What you can do in decreasing order of success:

- Delete the music. Play without sound. If there is no sound/music, 2k3 won't crash. You also shouldn't get the error.
- open the offending music file in audacity (MariobrosPhase1 in music, per udivision's last comment) and re-export it as mp3. I had an MP3 file in my project that caused this error when it played and this fixed it.
- convert the music file to wav (ick! much larger filesize but it's an option!) I did this out of desperation when a few users reported this issue.
- Try downloading harmony.dll for rm2k3 and putting that in the project directory. harmony.dll is the sound library used for 2k3 and in some rare cases you may not have it or a suitable replacement in your filesystem.

I hope that helps. Let me know if any of these work for you. No need to be hard on udivision--he's providing a great amount of support as-is. :)
All these years I thought harmony.dll had something to do with folders...
TheMoreYouKnow I guess.
I might include the dll on the website if it's a possible solution.

There's also a "Wait for BGM To Finish" condition in the event in question, so it'd make sense that it could compound an potential music based errors.

None of those options worked. Deleting the music actually causes errors. I just had the same problem with DarkDesignGames' Final Fantasy Mysic Quest Remastered where a optional boss fight crashed the game before the battle started because it was trying to load up a music file that didn't exist. Of course the RPG Maker is VX but I imagine they both would suffer the same error if the program looks for a music file that doesn't exist. MariobrosPhase1 is a MIDI file & Audacity doesn't support MIDI files, it'll let you import them & edit them, but you can't play them & the export option was grayed out so re-exporting it wasn't isn't an option. Besides, switching from MIDI to WAV or MP3 requires a conversion process, you simply can't just change the format. I converted it to both WAV & MP3 & neither helped. As for the Harmony.dll I already have it.

P.S. I have both the Bloshi CharSet & the MariobrosPhase1 MIDI file as well. The error occurs after Luigi says he's a superstar & the screen fades out to start the mini game.

All of my suggestions were assuming the issue was with the music being mp3, which for all three times I've seen the "not implemented" error was the case for me. If it's midi then that's likely an unrelated error; sorry I'm not sure!

By the way, I don't believe 2k3 games crash by default if they can't load background music.
So you see the "Luigi's Pipe Panic" Screen?
I can't find where the "Luigi's a superstar" sound clip plays though. Are you sure about that?

It crashes before the screen appears. And yes, on the ship when Mario gets KOed by the pipe & they realize that Luigi is a plumber too, followed by Bowser's wisecrack about if you use the word plumber loosely. After that Luigi dances his little jig saying "Luigi's a superstar" then the screen fades to black then it crashes saying Sin Titulo - Not Implemented which spams like over 50+ times before my computer tells me that an error has occured & the program stopped working.
I was looking in the wrong event >_<

Do you have the song "Luigi's Story"?
Try copying another song and replacing it. (You can put a back up of it somewhere else if you ever want to restore it.)

Bingo! The Luigi's Story mp3 was the problem. I took the SMW2Cave theme & duplicated it & renamed it Luigi's Story. I played up to that point & when it faded out it just reloaded the map with the SMW2Cave theme playing. I immediately saved so I wouldn't have to put up with that again. But I wonder why no one else had a problem with that file but I did. Maybe the copy I had was corrupted or something?
Hooray! Glad it worked out.

I think Luigi's Story was converted from a different file type and it depends on the user's codecs if they get the error. I am a bit worried that there might be 1 or 2 more songs that'll give you that error...

What do you mean converted from a different file type? I've never had a problem playing any kind of music files on my computer, regardless of codecs.
Is there a way to make this game completely portable? I noticed that the save files are stored under my documents, and I don't know if there are any other files the game stores elsewhere on the system.
The save files are the only external files. So if you get those, you can put the game anywhere.

I'm not sure of the exact rules for RM2k3, but I've played games where the save file was just in the main game folder, so that's weird.
Hi, I hope someone can help me with this problem. I started up the game, and after selecting start new game. The game crashed. I didnt get any errors notices. The whole program just closed out on me.
