A young man named Cory lives with his aunt in a deep part of the woods near the city Winterveer. Cory has absolutely no recollection of his days before he was eight years old, but for the years after, he has lived peacefully with his aunt with no troubles.

One night, his aunt goes to Winterveer and does not return home for at least two weeks. Cory, not used to being alone for such an amount of time, takes it upon himself to venture out to the city and find her himself. It quickly becomes evident, however, that this trek is not going to be as easy as he thought. His simple journey to Winterveer will reveal itself to be the path of a horrible darkness, and one that seems to have a purpose in helping Cory remember his past.

Your Death Proclaimed series is good, keep it up.
hey uhh...why is the full game not posted here?
It will be once somebody accepts the download link, but if it isn't accepted, I will probably need to get another uploading site.
wait last question...Is the Zshare Link the full game?
Yes, it is. I actually prefer that link.
This game blow mind. So psycho atmosphere. I want more horrors from you man. Nice stuff !!
This seems like a promising game, but before I consider getting into it, can anyone give me an estimated numbers of hours that this game will require?
and so I make it to the end of the series. DP-II VL was awesome. Going to start this one in a few.

Btw those shamblers look like a huge shit stuck to a chair. >_> I've been meaning to say that. lol

Valerie's Letter was the pinnacle. Hope you don't have extremely high expectations for this one. :P And yes, I can see where you get that image.
Completed it, my thoughts:

Gameplay 4.5/5:
I would say this is probably the harder out of the three (well if you count VL's multiple modes, I guess that would be harder than this one). I actually did have to fight back this time. The bosses were pretty fun except the final boss since it was all luck on the player's part. Sometimes the monsters would get alittle cheap, but not enough for me to ragequit.

Story 5/5:
Combining this with DP1,and VL, I had to say it came around full circle. I definitely liked what you did at the very end, and provided a meaningful ending. I see you took that que from Silent Hill 3 (just alittle). I have no complaints with this. You did great.

Music 5/5:
Once again it fits the setting.

Graphics 5/5:
I could tell you were beginning to greatly improve before you made VL, but you outdid yourself with this too. Everything fits the moods.

I would say give this game at least a 4.8/5.0

Bugs encountered:

During the multiple teleportation door room, if you go for the Velatin in the narrow hallway, you can become trapped if Valerie is not near, and will have to restart your last save.

Boomerang does not like to play nice with Juan for some reason since Juan goes berserk this way. I can't quite describe what could be the problem, so I'm leaving it at that.

Other:
I would nerf Arachnid alittle since he is just a pain in the ass.

Final comments:
Until next time when you release the next one, I had alot fun with your series.

Btw what the hell was that hilarious secret ending I found? Was that from another RMN game? LOL
Thank you for reviewing the series, again. I appreciate your feedback. :)

The secret 'ending' is from Wild Wings, which is another game I submitted. :P

just finished VN so playing this since im somewhat interested.
posting now just to let you know the game you uploaded has saves lol... :3

Edit

ok....30+ minutes of this and i HATE IT

1st the mapping is different in the same areas as in VN which makes no sense
adding the ending figuring out how they both meet each other t there own homes :/(which is it!?)
but whats driving me crazy here is the difficulty!
same game except...we have valerie...which at this point is a killing machine or should be anyway :/
instead she follows you close as possible at a slow pace
and the worst part is you can HIT HER and KILL HER!
why is this possible!?
add to that you character doing a 180 when hit thus aiming right at her and you will be killing her more then you would of died in her own game!

im so upset by this outrage i may not be able to finish this
i lost so many heals cuz of this bs
i almost forgot to mention the extreme lack of saving!
1 room can easily screw you yet you have to go thru a fair amount b4 you can save again because for no reason you get denied the ability to back track to a save point!

How you are having such a hard time with this is mind-boggling to me since you've beaten Valerie's Letter. The AI companion might be to blame, but what you typed down shows me that you might've gotten hit ALOT in Valerie's Letter and it is not difficult avoiding this.

Seriously. There can literally be almost a WHOLE TILE in between you and the enemy for you to hit him unlike in Death Proclaimed 1 where you have to run into the enemy while swinging. He does NOT have to be right in front of you in these next two games. If you are stuck in a tight corridor, press the action button on Valerie to swap places and just run out and run back in to try again.

nah VN was for the most part easy compared to this. tho that may be because in my case anyway i was playing on battle easy because i like games with these engines for the story more then a challenge

the ai companion is defiantly the problem, sure you can switch thru her but you should be attacking the enemy and being behind her when you can hit her is not a good idea
when theres multiple enemies in a a room sometimes the 2nd will manage to get behind the 1st thus cancel the knock back

thus leading to you possibly attacking her instead, ive tried running by enemies but some of the same type even are faster making that harder to impossible even to run by w/o taking damage

When you come across those situations where enemies can stack, which shouldn't be that many, you going faster than Valerie could perhaps be handy. You can potentially get her stuck someplace. Usually turning a corner or rounding a prop would accomplish this.

I'll probably wind up adding a difficulty slider to the game like VL and doing some other fixes. This is the one game I haven't touched since its release, so it's probably for the best..
