Alter A.I.L.A. Genesis takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. You play the role of a young man known as Leon, who seeks to survive in the harsh environment he is brought into.

Exploration is done mainly via a side-scrolling view. In certain areas, an exclamation mark will sometimes appear, indicating the presence of hostiles. Press Z when this happens to initiate battle, or wait to let it pass. Sometimes battle will be unavoidable. When walking, enemy encounters won't occur.

The battle system revolves mainly around each character's Abilities, which are a set of commands specific to that character. Abilities require AP and EX to use. AP is gained every time a character takes a turn. The default is 2. EX is gained every time a character uses an Ability. The default is 1. Note that this may change depending on the situation.

"Known Glitches"
Due to the limited functionality of the RPG Maker 2003 engine, there are various glitches and bugs which are unfortunately unfeasible or impossible to fix:
- Sometimes during an action, the battle data of a character will be temporarily overwritten with another character's, causing them to not perform as expected for that round.
- In certain cases, player actions can be interrupted by the enemy or other character's actions. To minimize the occurance of this, wait for current actions to finish before selecting an action with another character.
- Using items and guarding doesn't trigger the code to check for enemy deaths. You need to actually use an ability, or let the enemies take a turn.
- Although not a bug, Active Mode should be changed to Passive Mode in the in-game menu to prevent enemies from acting while you are taking an action.

"Hints and Tips for Boss Battles"
- Don't expect to just be able to spam regular attacks until you can use your Exceed ability. You won't win an attrition war with the enemy party.
- Always target the enemy's weakness if you can. If you want, think of this as a Shin Megami Tensei game. :P
- Make sure to keep your HP up. The vast majority of bosses have pretty powerful high EX costing abilities that'll wipe out your party if you're not expecting it.

- That said, keep in mind, the enemy is subject to the same rules as the party. In other words, they're also gaining AP and EX, and they also need it to use their more hard-hitting abilities. So if you can prevent them from using them while still retaining the ability to use yours, you'll be able to beat any boss.
- You can tell how much EX an enemy's ability uses by looking at the name of the ability. Similar to your character's abilities, it'll show up as the number of squares on the left side of the name.
- Of course, the above passes quickly so isn't that reliable of a method. As a general rule, you can expect that:
- Anything that uses an element other than Force likely costs at least 1 EX
- Anything that does multi-targetting likely costs at least 1 EX
- Anything that hits everyone hard probably costs 2 or more EX
- Anything that outright kills someone from full health, or makes you swear "Bullshit! That can't happen!" is likely an Exceed ability.
- Chances are it'll also be very flashy.
- Obviously, there's going to be some exceptions, but for the most part, this can be followed.

- Don't ignore Field Effects either. Bosses don't, and the Field Effects they use generally stack things in their favor. It's not just about dealing as much damage as quickly as you can. A lot of times, it's also about controlling the situation.
- Modes, Field Effects, and Boost ailments all stack. If you're creative, you may be able to create a situation where you can pretty much negate everything the boss throws at you, while tossing out Exceed abilities every turn. Bosses won't stand a chance.

MAP SAVE FREEZE: If you're changing things in this game in the editor and your save file freezes on the world map as a result, press F9, go to switch 112 and 113, and turn them both OFF. That should fix it.

When i am on the internet i do not really care for using capitals, i know about shift but unless im a redacting a formal work i rareley pay it any attention.

:(

Come on man, you might not care, but the people reading your posts care a lot! Please don't be so selfish.

EDIT: Like, I don't even want to read what you've written because it's painful for me to figure out what you're trying to say.
Okay, okay man i will try to use proper spelling and punctuation.

I was making a question about krugar, erin's father how much HP does he has and is he invincible when he has the yellow wings? i am using the GUARDIAN synch that deals always 1100 and i have one hour and thirty minutes trying to kill him!.

Also by any chance this site has a full edit mode where i can run an spell checker?
Yes!!! *Pumps fist*

Okay, let's see. Yeah, once Kugar goes into his yellow wings mode, he's basically invincible. And yeah, he also apparently still has a pretty ridiculous health count when not invincible. I think that was on my "Things to Change" list at some point, but I guess it didn't actually end up happening :(.

Here's a vid where Jaymonius battles him for half an hour: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxkH7bohnYg

I'm not sure what you mean by full edit mode, but maybe you can try googling for an online spellchecker. For example:
http://www.spellcheck.net/speller/

Erm, SPOILERS, dude. Use the "hide" tag.

And yes, even though the internet at large is a miserable hive of degenerate illiteracy, not caring about such simple things as capitalization and punctuation are very bad habits to get in to. It's generally a good idea to use proper grammar, for readability's sake if nothing else, like Neok said.

Anyway, yeah, because that boss has over 99999 HP, it breaks the display and you can't see how much health he has. And yes, he is supposed to be invincible when he transforms -- you just have to wait him out until he turns normal again. I'm not sure if attacking with the static damage syncs actually does anything or not, Neok will have to answer that.

Edit: Gah, ninja'd! :o

Oh for the love of God, i will try to check kugar HP of his second form and see if i can alter it, giving him invincibility was a bad idea, i farmed tons of rare parts and i have 3 maxed characters and tons of stat boosters (not so boring with a Pet Shop Boys customized album running on the back) the issue now is that i am faster than kugar, way too fast ofr he even get a turn in the two hours i battled him he only got to attack twice so if i do not alter it then i am screwed as i do not have a backup file outside of avalon 1 with non boosted characters.

Also they do not do anything, either neok gave them two different sets of HP or something else is going on (glitch or bug perhaps) i will check kugar now i will edit to post my findings.

FINDINGS:

Both have same HP: a % 99.999, they share same attributes, have different attacks, etc. i am bumping both of their pathetic speeds to max in order for actually being able to beat him and lowering the HP to a % of 80.000 on the angelic form to check if he is truly invincible.

HE IS NOT INVINCIBLE: after altering his HP i found it drops, the second phase cannot be killed his HP will go onto the negative numbers(it went something like -130.000/8000), i assume the reason behind this is that he has no death animation or there is not an event that triggers the death hence it would not matter if i did 1.000.000 damage he would not die in that form( it seems we must wait 7 or 8 turns before he reverts back).
You should probably use hide tags on your previous post as well!

Yeah, actually I remember why I didn't change his HP. That messes with his death algorithm in a way that's more cumbersome to deal with than normal enemies and I was in a "Nah, don't feel like it" mode. See, this is what happens when you don't care!

wonderfull but i also noted something curious with that boss, if i dealt more than in off damage to kill him (violet+leon+indy+zero systems) he would transform, when he returned to normal he was dead, in the sense that the death animation event was activated
Hey man, I need you to go back to what you said at the top of this page, and edit it to hide that spoiler you posted. I've gotten some complaints about this so please be careful with what you're saying and make sure to hide any spoilers.

And what happened to your capital letters?

Yes, that is why I didn't want to change his HP, because those kinds of things happen. Also I guess I should make a note about that map save freeze. That happens because you changed something either on the map, or in the database. If that happens, press F9, go to switch 112 and 113, and turn them OFF.

I was half Asleep so i forgot.

I see thanks for that tip, what i have been doing are small mods to the exp of some enemies near end game and such to balance it a little since there are no exp boosters like most RPG have (and i know it is not really important to level up but is more along the lines i do it to get more HP.

Probably my last set of questions is how do i unlock the rest of the bonus characters?, so far i have tinbot the two bosses from phase VII and no one else, but i am really curious on how to unlock Aila, also how to get to orbital prision and finally my last question what is new within the no man lands oh and how do i get more zero systems? Tinder is not selling them.
For the bonus characters, you get them by fulfilling Jester requests. You can get additional zero-systems by going back to phase 5 and buying them from Tinder, or resetting treasure chests and getting one again. As for your other questions...

They actually have the same answer; there's a secret passage in No Man's Land 2. If you go all the way to the other side, you can get to the Orbital Prison, but in order to get into the dungeon proper you'll still need to...well, I think you should be able to figure it out once you get there, it's pretty obvious.
I see, can any post a complete location of the jokers? as i remember about 6:

One on the dam, other on the factory, other on the no man land (which i got already) other on the bridge, on slums of the charon area (i got that one too), and one on the underwater facility and i am unable to remember where are the other i saw, i know i will need some bonus characters for it, so far i have 4 of them).

Also can any one point me where the heck is the tinbot MKIII in the factory? and where are the shadows of the characters)

Joker locations:

One is in Stynx, in Red's old HQ; the door was locked before. It's in the Main Prison area. There's another cleverly hidden one in Core Shaft 2; you can find a video of its location on YouTube. There's also one in the Pathos sewer. Finally, there's one in Orbital Prison 3, but you won't be getting there for a long time, so don't concern yourself with it immediately.

As for your other question:

This took me a while too. He's a random encounter; go to the screen where you can hear metal clanging around, and wait for an encounter to appear. As for the shadows, you've probably seen them already, in a way, assuming you've been exploring diligently; you can only activate the shadow battles if you have the Soul Mirror, though. You can also visit the Pantheon again to see their locations if you wish. Believe me, you'll know them when you see them.

ok i see thanks and i was wrong i only have a single joker done, the one of NM.

Wonderfull i have to play with sound ¬_¬ i really do not like playing games with sound i usually put some music that i have stored on my PC.

If i had to make a guess i would say that the spheres that are floating at random are the shadow battles, where do i get said item? and where is the pantheon?

And also let me guess again for getting to orbital prision 3 i either need to solve a chain of events on earth or... kill bosses or have al characters.

Also how do i acess to the black sphere on the background near the end of no man land 2? since i found both the joker there and an underwatter passage one side let me to a shard the other... well to the other side and a huge black sphere on the background, i guess that is orbital prision, so how do i acess it?, as i have few jokers left now:

the one of orbital prision 3, the one of core shift area 2 and the one of the facility.

Oh and the quiz robot always shows up in places before a boss battle?

Finally two direct questions for neok, who has been very nice to help me, here they are:

First Indy=Aila? femalestorm absorbed her... and the description points 'absorbs HP, AP and EX' in other words is a broken skill...

*Will run via spell checker later
Some of your questions pretty much answer themselves man. Either that or you should've found the answer already because you've progressed far enough to have discovered it, based on your later questions. Figure out which ones you actually need to ask!

As for your direct questions, the first is for your interpretation, the second.. yes. :P
You don't play with sound? :O You really should, the game's music is very good and hand-picked to be fitting for the scene. Do you listen to the music of other games you play (i.e. console games)?
Ok, I m stuck in Alter AILA genezis.

I found all shards, unlocked all characters, and unlocked all characters ability and got into orbital prison 4.

And right now I spend like 6 hours looking for this Tinderbot MK III.

On youtube I saw only that he is in Harbor in the end.
And in here I also see that people say he is on Harbor in rebel base where you fight him.

But can someone please tell me, where I can find Tinderbot Mk III first and secound time, where ?

I found all jokers, finished they quest, but someone please tell me how I can start and finish tinderbot Mk III quest.

I do for console games but i do not for PC and portable games.

can any one point me the exact site of where the shadows are i remember one on pallas and i got indy shadow down already
@ Duncan: I believe someone already answered this earlier. Around page 20-25 possibly. Since you know their general area, though, you shouldn't have too much trouble -- though I remember some are very cleverly hidden. Try beating the Street Tournament -- the final reward may be useful in locating them. You could also try YouTube if you're really stuck.

@ CommanderX: Didn't you listen to Tinder? He's in the abandoned factory the first time as a random encounter. Get to an area where you hear mechanical clanking. I forget where he is after that, but Tinder should tell you.
@Duncan Check Missileboater's guide videos http://www.youtube.com/user/Missileboater#g/c/FBE1C95D58225D0C

All the shadows have shards near them, so just find videos for the areas indicated in the Pantheon.
How do i gain acess to no man land 3?, and since it seems that in every chamber there is a sphere there will be a shadow it will help to reduce the troubles.

two new glitches, on some random battles the game will eneter onto an auto mode and i am unable to control my characters, nut sure if it has to do with some of my edits (i am 60% sure that i never activated auto death) the other is more easy to check NEVER select a phase while you are on a lader it will glitch the game BADLY

i think there is a problem with rpgmaker it crashed on jake shadow figth

neok there is a problem i cannot find the rest of the cast shadows... the only ones that are present are the RMAYG, i get an error that rpg maker 2003 cannot acess some areas, what is this? also i have two versions, the altered one by me and the untouched one downlaoded from here i cannot seem to find the rest of the shadows in the data base

i am more confused i found the shadows but as bosses for phase 6
