There is now a website you can use to share your custom content with other users! But you're still welcome to use this page to share and discuss content.

Below is a list of finished custom (user-made) content. To add these characters, in most cases you can extract the downloaded file to the game's main directory and you're set. Depending on how the author has organized them, it may be necessary to move files to the appropriate directories. (Custom content has not been tested by me)
Note: After new content has been added, old saves won't be compatible.

If you have posted custom content in this thread, I will (eventually) add your link to the list above, along with a small screenshot if you have included one. Be sure to test your content in-game before posting.

Helpful things:

--> Medium build girl, the .psd that was used to create the built-in characters, is available with layer names in English.

--> Not feeling artistic? You can use any of these images for making custom characters.

--> Notepad++ with syntax highlighting for Heartache 101 can be a big help with story creation.

--> If you are writing story content that includes the appearance of existing characters (built-in or custom), the following list may be of reference:
ID 0 = The Player

Right on.
I suppose you would probably like the next release of the game to come out before you finish, huh? (so that you can specify a focus attribute for each charaacter)

A FOCUS attribute isn't totally necessary for Uchioniko, because one of Ruri's roles is that of "informant". Which half-reminds me that I want to make an "informant" event for Masako at some point.

Saying that, I think it would be moderately hilarious if I managed to finish off Ruri's story events (With testing a the first full release of Uchioniko.) before the next release of the game. Not trying to rush either of us, though. This is not a race, nor a competition.

*Edit: First draft of Masako's "informant" event. Read on to see how you like it, and if you're prepared for a few spoilers:

STORY 21
# This is an "informant" event.
# The purpose of this event is to give players instructions on how to get Masako's custom ending.
PLACE = Front B
PRIORITY = HIGH

Ah-ha! You look like you might have an interesting fortune!
So, what should I attempt to divine for you? Your love life, perhaps?
ID = 0
Sure, but how much is it going to cost me?
ID = Female Classmate
Hrmm... Well, since you're our first customer, how about I do it for free?

Cool! What do I do?

I wouldn't necessarily call it "wrong".

Well, what is it, then? Out with it!

I see an Empress aligned with the sign of Scorpio in your future.
# "Empress" is a VERY vague Tarot reference.
ID = 0
An Empress aligned with the sign of Scorpio?
ID = Female Classmate
Yes. You have been, or are about to be, introduced to a very elegant woman who was born under the sign of Scorpio.
She will test both your mind and spirit to it's limits!
ID = 0
Both mind and spirit? To it's limits?
ID = Female Classmate
Yes. But be warned. Do not fortify both your mind and your spirit. Only fortify your spirit.
ID = 0
What? How much sense does that make? What happens if I just fortify my mind?
ID = Female Classmate
She will leave your life almost as soon as she enters into it.

So, to get this girl, you want me to <b>not</b> study, but get religious all the sudden?
Or something like that?
ID = Female Classmate
Yeah, I guess that's one way to put it.
ID = 0
What's so special about this girl, anyway. Why should I bother with her?
ID = Female Classmate
To follow her path is to follow the path of fulfillment. And I mean "fulfillment" in every sense of the word you can imagine.
Yes, even the sexual kind.

I see. Thanks. I guess?
Haha, that's one way to do it :)
So without a condition, that informant story would presumably play during Day 1? So the player would just have to figure who the lady is talking about. Not bad, but it's a little too specific for my taste.

With PRIORITY = HIGH, there's a really good chance of it happening on Day 1. If it does happen on Day 1, considering the PLACE, the blurb about buffing stats in the afternoon could be over-written. Which is not something I want to necessarily do. Maybe make this a school-phase event with PRIORITY = NORMAL?

Personally speaking, having the player figure out who that event is even referring to is half the fun. Maybe the hints are just feeling specific because you know who it's supposed to be referring to? Maybe having this NPC show up instead of the informant that flowerthief is coding to rely to the FOCUS stat in 21's story, or other custom character's stories, would make things more interesting?

Anyway, I'll play around with this idea a bit more. Regardless of what the end-product will look like, I think I want to wait for the next release of the game before committing a new download of Masako.
The problem with priority normal is that you might meet masako before the hint lady, making her hint useless if you already screwed up by being too intelligent. Although you raise a curious subject, does PRIORITY = HIGH overwrite the hard coded speech about stats?

After a embarrassingly small amount of testing with Masako's informant event (meaning one or two attempts), it seems PRIORITY = HIGH does not over-ride events that were hard-coded into the game, such as the blat at "Front B" on Day 1 that mentions improving stats.

I'm moving the event into school phase (PLACE = Side?), but keeping it with a "high" priority. If Masako is in the game, this makes it the first school-phase event a player comes across. It has a decent probability of appearing before even meeting Miki if one is playing with Masako without Clean Mode. Because of this, I'm thinking I want to change the event a tad so that the fortune teller mentions something about the player character having "potential love issues".

Still playing with the idea, obviously. Er, should this kind of thing be under the testing tab? I'm not testing the game, per say, just a concept. However...

Masako update!

What's changed:
She's got a FOCUS stat, which should allow the generic informant to pop up. She also has her own informant event in hopes to reinforce the idea of what her FOCUS stat is.

What still needs to be done:
Unless there's another update to the game engine that makes me re-think my strategy with Masako, or a bug found, this young woman is ready to go. The question is, are you ready for her?

Where to get it:
1) The most obvious place is the link up at the top of this page.
2) The first post where her download was made public is not as obvious, but just as viable.
3) My locker file is, more or less, a direct download.

In other news:
Ruri, the last member of the Uchoniko "quad-tech", has been on the slow side in her development. I did some work on her recently, but she's still got a long way to go. Also, I believe I've no feedback on Izumi? I'm not too sure about this, as I've been busy playing games from the 2011 Summer Games event of late, which partially explains why I've been slow with Ruri.
I just made a new character but none of their custom responses worked, and she was using default responses DX
^ Okay, you're right, there's a problem here. I'll look into it....
Yikes, that's a big bug. How did I let this one slip by? >< Very easy to fix, at least.
Try this version of the app. Unfortunately, you will have to type out the custom responses for your character again. Sorry about this.
Thanks for fixing it, I think I might be complaining too much...

I'm figuring there still bugs in the customizer because the active beta-testers (which includes me) were probably just looking to see if content that was currently available (such as Masako or 21) worked with the customizer application. Personally speaking, I really didn't mess with creating something from absolutely scratch. I was, and still am, busy enough with creating story for the Uchioniko quad-tech.

Saying that, dude797's character "Bacon Hayatola" may have been the first "new" semi-publicly released character made with that application, but very little of him was customized, profile-wise. He really wasn't a "fair test" of the system.
Animetor, absolutely not. I need this kind of feedback because, as Marrend says, the app in hindsight was undertested.
It's funny that I never check the random encounters. For all I know 21 could be broken in that department. So concerned about writing stories and making the branching stories connect I never thought to test them out. Good catch Animetor.
@Animetor
Sure, I can add you as a tester.

Can I get you guys to do me a favor? Go here and see if you can upload Masako/21 Ways.

Altered Mayu's story so that the player always accepts Junko's challenge. It makes the follow-up scene make more sense, as it was possible to refuse Junko's challenge, and Mayu would still have a quip about how long the player character lasted against her.
Ah man, you have a character named Junko? I was actually in the process of creating a custom character of my own named Junko. Does your Junko play a large part in your story? I'd prefer not to have to think up a new name for her if I don't have to.

Anyway, introduction. I'm Nekochi and I just downloaded the game recently. I was intrigued by the ability to add your own custom content as it allowed me to play at video game creation without having to do the hard coding myself. I'm currently working on a character named Junko Watanabe. She was intended to be slightly based off of JunJun from Sailor Moon, since I'm in love with that character, but she's changed a fair bit from my initial concept.

Junko is a member of the track team and she has a younger sister named Aoi who is in grade school (either 3rd or 4th grade.) She is close to her sister and ends up having to care for her a lot. I'm mostly done with the graphics for now and I've finished the custom responses and her likes and dislikes. I now need to do the story. Thus far I've just finished with her introduction event. So, I just wanted to say 'hi', so I could chat during the process and ask any questions that might come up. ^-^

One question I do have is if there is any way to give Aoi a name and Tachie without having her show up on the list of girls met. I wouldn't want anyone to think that she's a dateable character. A Jr. High student is one thing, but being able to date a little kid like Aoi would just be gross! Would it work if I used her without ever formally introducing her (via INTRODUCE = #). If I did that could I still have her name and relationship known?

Also, what would be good numbers to use for my ID numbers? I don't want to use ones that someone else is using and risk having one or both of our custom content not working if both were added to the same game or end up using ID numbers that flowerthief might use later if he adds another character, like he did with Chiemi. It would be good to know the answer to this one while I'm still early in so I'm not having to replace a ton of stuff in my story later.
I've decided to scrap all of my old characters and start from scratch, so here's one of the new characters who I'm making, and the one that helped me to find some errors that have been fixed...

Terada Junko is not a datable character for the Uchioniko quad-tech. She's an NPC (teacher) that shows up exactly two times for Mayu's story. As for how important she is, I think she's fairly important both times she's around.

Saying this, these facts shouldn't stop you from making a character who has the given name of Junko. Maybe give her a different family name, though?

@flowerthief: Misread! I thought you said they were already there, and you wanted to see if Masako or 21 was available. I tried downloadng "masakoneutral.png" that's in my locker to upload that for the "screenshot", but then I realized that I had to rename it to "masako_heartache.png". If you want to replace that with the thumbnail that's here, I'm cool with that. In any event, Masako, at least, looks like she's up on that page. I also couldn't help but to notice the "Game System" screen shot of the call screen with 21 and Uchioniko.

Speaking of Uchioniko, I have no idea when Ruri (which would signal the initial completion of Uchioniko) will be ready. I'm still trying to play all the games from the 2011 Summer Games Event, I got myself involved in Manor Map Madness (Which should start on the 3rd of October), and who knows what else could come up.
