There exists a most curious and powerful race in the world of Ospes, able to manipulate and alter matter itself.

Their numbers are few, and from the beginning they have lived as outcasts, perceived as a threat to the world and every living thing in it.

They are called Theolar.

Thymetians, the most dominant race on Ospes, have done all that they can to suppress the Theolar. For they, more than any, are afraid of them.

Most Theolar are content to live in hiding and have abandoned the use of their abilities in hopes they would be forgotten. But among them there is a small group, known as the
Andurim, who are unwilling to give up that part of themselves.

Their sole purpose is to provide the Thymetians and the rest of the world with a glimpse of their greatness, now long overshadowed by what else they are capable of…

What users from rpgmaker.net have said...

"I've finished the game, and I have to say that I really enjoyed myself. I don't always keep the games, but this one is a must.
Thanks for all your hard work." - littlebro

"All in all, you have certainly set a standard for vx games. I can't think of one that actually gripped me, and especially like this one did...
At any rate, I'm just saying I loved the game. I can tell it had a huge amount of work placed into it." - demonlord5000

What users from rpgmakervx.net have said...

"Whoa. This game is amazing. I can't recall the last time I enjoyed a game, commercial or otherwise, this much. You've managed to create a world that pulls the player in,
makes him identify with teh characters and feel for them. A world that feels alive with lore and history. Every time I found one of the Nayrin relics...
I really felt I was discovering bits and pieces of an ancient civilization, scattered all over the world." - Jeffrey

If anyone wants to play arguably one of the best all around put-together RPGs available to RPG Maker VX, this is hereby on your must-do list.
- goldenguy

"I will say that I liked the message and it was a brilliant adventure while it lasted. The plot was tight, the characters convincing and the puzzles
were the best I've seen aside from Alundra. If you ever manifest another spectacular game, I'll be looking forward to it." - tom11

"Firstly you have a great imagination and a flair for writing, your game really drew me in and was a real "key-presser" right up until the final
scenes. Your game was also very well balanced in terms of available money, EXP, etc. The inclusion of your excellent (occasionally challenging)
puzzles and mini-games help to distract the player along the way. Also quite importantly the game runs practically bug free..." - matt-tribal

"Bloody fantastic RPG. Minigames, optional quests, math puzzles. Love it all." - vitrous

"...there's so much that can be done, and the story and adventure just keep taking new turns and twists...It's been a long time since I've played a
game that I have a hard time "setting down" after 2-3 hours, but this is doing that." - goldenguy

"...a brilliant game, you have clearly put a lot of thought into creating the world of Ospes and especially into its characters. I definitely
appreciate the humorous dialogue too." - matt-tribal

Canvas is Complete!

Five years and two children later, I have finished my second game. The download has been updated. The game should last around 15 hours or so depending on a few factors including puzzles and sidequests. I have included a full walkthrough and complete item guide with the download. If you need more detailed help than the walkthrough gives, please don't hesitate to ask. I love every kind of feedback, especially bug reports if you find any. Thank you very much to those who take the time to download Canvas and give it a shot.

Getting them does require you to complete the Grotto. If you reach a point of frustration with it, you could send me your save file and I could send you it back with the Grotto finished. Just let me know.
Good luck.

Thanks! Right now I have my 11 yr old son working on it, lol. If he can't get it, I'll send the save file.
I'm back! Sadly, I am doing better than my 11 yr old, that has given up in frustration. Could I send you my save file? To where? Thanks so much! I've gotten as far as the black ball that you steer over the buttons, but I just can't get any farther....I'm good at puzzles, but timed stuff...not so much.

I understand. You can email me the save file as an attachment at stevenbethune@hotmail.com. You did well though...that room you mentioned is the last one.
Thanks! Save file is on the way. Curious to see what Trux's bent claws can do, since he's already such a heavy hitter.

You're all set. I saved right after the room you made it to. Have fun.

Edit: Did the save file work out for you?
Oh, yes, thank you! I thought I had emailed you back about that. Sorry. Just finished. Outstanding! Kudos! Amazing game. Looking forward to the next one!

Thank you for taking the time to play Manifest through to the end and for your kind words. I'll keep you posted on Canvas.
In the Lair of the Beast, how can I defeat him? I know I don't have to, but how can I?

You can put it to sleep, but be prepared to put it right back to sleep after each time you attack it. Thanks for playing Manifest.
Just started playing. Love the story so far, I'm sure I'll enjoy the game, but walking on a world map is like going to the dentist and pulling your teeth out, god it soooooo slow.

Hi juliab, thanks for playing Manifest and for taking the time to post a comment. As far as moving around the world map goes...it gets better =). Hope to hear back from you again as you progress.
On that doggone tree to fight as a side quest....I have used Vals poison spell until she runs out of MP and it is still there...it seems to be the only thing to actually damage it.
Also those turtles on the island....I remember having the same problem getting them to crap seeds the first itme playing the game and I recall the answer being one of those OH Duhhhh answers but cant remember what the answer was. I posted it here but now cant find your answer. Please remind my old memory
As I was looking back and readiung all the posts, I see there are a lot of puzzles ahead...I generally hate them especially TIMED ones but with the answers youve provided, I may get farther than last time. Someone was smart in asking for a walkthrough or a page with all the questions answered.
Great game by the way...why didnt you ever make a sequel????
Yeah, poison is the way to go. It should die in 10 turns if I remember right

The turtles have a relatively high steal%. Just equaip Vellamik's glove and steal away.

I agree, great game. Probably the best on rpgmaker right now; other RPGs don't even compare to this. Played this 3 times and still not bored.
Thanks Edge....Ive been on the right path then about the poison.
On the turtles, I guess maybe its just bad luck. I have the gloves equipped ans is still never able to steal seeds....onward, onward, onward.

@Roy - I'll do whatever I can to help you get through to the end. I like to think you'll be happy you did. As far as a sequel goes, I think Manifest works best as a standalone story.

@EdgeofChaos - Thank you for helping out in the thread. I always love to see that. If there is one thing I love more, it's what you wrote next. Thank you.
You've probably been asked this a hundred times (if not more) but do you need the RTP for this? I have VX Ace but not VX.

Thanks for the interest in Manifest. You don't need the RTP to play it. Have fun and hope to hear back from you.
Great. It's a rar file. I can't play those. I really wanted to play it, too. Oh well. Guess I have to find another game.

Playing the game aside, I highly recommend that you download winrar for general use, which is very similar to winzip except that it can extract both .zip and .rar files. You'll run into many .rar files, and probably already have. You can do a web search and find a free download for it, and like winzip, it has a free trial period. Hope you get a chance to play.
I have. But all the developers have been willing to change them into executables.
