That's right, folks. You asked, now WE'RE going to give: Chronicles of Tsufanubra II is going to be a thing! And, as everyone's voted, it'll be a sequel taking place following the game's normal ending.

How far into development are we? ... Not very. We're (Myself, Desertopa, and Dyhalto) currently brainstorming ideas for the game's story. Things have been a little slow so far, but bits of progress are being made day by day. It's going to take a while to develop anything worth showing off to the public, but I hope those of you who have completed this game will again return to see what the second chapter in Tsufanubra's history has to offer!

Hi.
Great to see a sequel coming.Very interesting to see where you gonna take the story.
Congrats to (soon) 2000 downloads. It`s about time to play this gem again now when you have been fixing the final adjustments since last time i played.
Good luck with the sequel.

I'll be right here waiting when you need some maps. Do you think we'll be making use of the Mac&Blu tilesets like the first game or go in a completely different direction?

Hopefully I manage to finish the first one before it's released.
My advice considering the sequel is to make it bigger, better and BIGGER.
To keep the look and feel of this new project consistent with the prequel, we'll likely be utilizing the same graphical style and continue to use RM2K/2K3. The newer makers are tempting, but I feel the change would be much too drastic. It's great to know that I've still got people on board for collaboration! =D

Thanks everyone! Hopefully the sequel is either just as good as this game, or perhaps even better! We'll aim for the latter. ;)
If you had the right help, would you want to try making it on VX Ace? :P

Great choice. I love the RPG Maker 2000 and 2003 assets as much as I dislike the RPG Maker VX (Ace) and MV assets. Furthermore: In contrast to MV's default battle system, I really like 2000's default battle system. 2000 reasons for looking forward to the sequel. :)
I think I'll be sticking with 2K3 for the sequel. That's not written in stone, of course, but it's the most likely outcome. The only real drawback is definitely trying to obtain in-battle graphics for the main party members. Everything else should be (relatively) simple to come by... hopefully!
I'd agree with using 2K3 as well. Like you said, keeping the same style will make the games feel more consistent with each other. A sudden drastic change in style would be a bit jarring in my humble opinion.
What kind of battle graphics do you have in mind? :3
I think Dyhalto's on board with attempting to whip something up when the time comes to gather all the essentials together.

If (for some reason) you were to offer assistance, Mr. J, I'd honestly love it if it were with the battle animations. I always liked how you made fairly dramatic and long(ish) battle animations in your Phantasia games made using 2K3. =O
