Artwork by Nophie-Blue!
This is a map of the known world. Although the game takes place primarily in Nysoroth, many of these other locations are mentioned in dialogue. This is a rough version of the world map for referential purposes.
Just a few more weeks until release!
I realized that there are no battle screenshots, so here you go! This game uses the "traditional" Final Fantasy-style battle system, because I like being able to see the enemy names. You can see the enemy's HP/MP/ATB bar at all times.
New facesets! I spent all day working on these. They are inspired by the style used in Tactics Ogre. My only concern is that the color palette doesn't mesh well with the blue menu/system graphics. What do you think?
This area contains many small openings that only a fairy and her corgi could possibly fit through!
The Towering Fortress of Taranis detail
The Towering Fortress of Taranis detail
The Towering Fortress of Taranis. This forest at this mountain's base is home to corgi-riding fairies. You must work with this fairies to complete puzzles to progress to the end!
I decided to remake yet another dungeon - my new water cavern is on the left, and the old one is on thr right. Again, the old one isn't neccesarily bad, it was just bland and I knew that I could do better. Can't have anyone getting bored!
No scuba gear needed!
Dwarven mine.
Decided to remake an old dungeon. New dungeon is on the left; old is on the right. I didn't think my old map was particularly bad, but Rudra tilesets have already been used quite a lot in RPG Maker games, and to great effect.
Castle courtyard area.
Castle Arddlech - an abandoned castle atop a snowy mountain, once considered impenetrable. I strived to create a relatively realistic castle, epic in scope.
Bridge to the castle, part of a secret escape route that heads into the mountains.
The "Well of Souls" - A mysterious place where souls are said to rest.
An abandoned cathedral. I had to be very creative with a town chipset to make this happen!
On the left is one the earliest maps I made for my game. I decided to remake it: the result is on the right.
This place isn't as peaceful as it appears. Many dangerous and poisonous monsters lurk this place.
A peaceful, forgotten cemetary. What secrets lie within?
Grape flavored dungeon
The Forest of Eternal Autumn
One floor of an ice cavern.
I'm not quite sure how long this map took to create, but let me assure you that I spent a lot of time on this! This is a completely optional, fully explorable side-quest area.
The Tower of Mad Laughter. Fans of the Tower of Latria from Demons Souls are in for a treat.
The dreamy lake called "Loch Anam".
A strange, eerie place.
An ice dungeon! Yes, you can expect slippery ice puzzles!
A rowdy bar in a Dark Elven trade town.
An eerie, ancient Dark Elven catacombs. This dungeon is optional.
A portion of the exterior of an ancient Dark Elven shrine.
A blight-filled swamp. Don't be fooled by it's pretty bioluminescent plants: this place is dangerous.
Climbing a treacherous mountain.
A labelled map of the Kingdom of Nysoroth. You may notice a Scottish, Irish and English feel to the place names: Nysoroth is largely based on ancient Celtic, Scottish and Welsh culture.
Princess's Chambers
The city of Glencoe.
Passing through a forest checkpoint.
Styre Forest
I possess an affinity for extremely detailed, large, open maps. There are many maps such as this in my game.
An segment of an optional dungeon.
A humble residence.
Unsettling.
The bustling port town of Colhaven.
Not sure if I'll keep the clouds.
A party selection menu. The current party is displayed on the left.
A horrifying forest that has been taken over by demons.
Ancient mage tombs, such as this one, can be found throughout the Kingdom of Nysoroth. Some have been desecrated and are being used for sinister purposes.
Title screen.
Kniryk overlooks the castle courtyard.
