New version of Final Tear remastered released in 2 weeks

A new version of Final Tear remastered will be released within two weeks. The game will get a new title screen that are edited by the Darkdreamer and some small changes and balance tweakings will be done.

Final Tear 1 remastered will be released july the 28th!

Final Tear 1 remastered 1.05 will be released at 28th of July 2021! I decided to release it a bit sooner because the Final Tear 3 remastered is back in production.

I would like to announce that the remastered version of Final tear will be released in the beginning of august 2021. It was already released some earlier this year but I took it down to make some extra changes.

Final Tear remastered! What is going to change?


As I told previous week one of the oldest full made rpgmaker 2000 games will be remastered and as I promised I would let u guys know more this week. What is actually going to change in Final Tear remastered? I will try to explain that with this blog.

Most maps and dungeons will be completely be remade


The original Final Tear 1 game had pretty simple and empty mapping. In the remaster most dungeons will be either partly or completely be remade. And not only that! Some dungeons are have more maps now and even new puzzles. Even though the mapping will be improved, it will still holds the classic vibe maintaining the original Final Tear feeling.

Animations and spells/summons will be changed or remade

A lot of animations will be changed or remade. Also there will be better sound effects

Large part of the plot will be rewritten

There are some plot holes and some very incongruent responses from characters in the old game at some points. I’m trying to change this.

Game will be rebalanced

The whole balance of the game will be changed this includes but is not limited to:

• Monsters
• Bosses
• Encounter rate
• Character stats
• More balanced spell and item correlations
• Equipment
• Prices
• Spells and magic
• Items
• Difficulty
• Less of a grind fest

All of this will take care that the game will be easier and more fun to play while still giving a decent challenge.

New status effects will be introduced

Status effects were not very prominent in the old version. But now they will be. Not only that there will also be more status effects and more monster that can cast them. Also there are new items and accessories made to work with this change

Shops will be cleaned up

All the shops will now have separate item and equipment sections just like Final Tear 3. Also items are more arranged and less chaotic than in the original.

Final Boss will be remade

New puzzles will be added

New ultimate weapons will be added

Some music will change

Weapons and items change

New weapons and items will be added

Bugs will be removed

Final Tear will be remastered!

I did decide to remaster Final Tear 1 instead of polishing it. This means that most of the game will be improved and or changed on almost all aspects. This means this will almost be a completely new game.

This also means that it will take a bit longer and the game will now come out in the beginning of april 2020. I will post next week more details about what is going to be changed.

New version of Final Tear will come out next month

At current time feb 2020, I'm working on my game Final Tear 1 again and try to get it to a much higher quality.

The game will temporary not be downloadable until the new version is done. The new version will be out between 1 and 7 march 2020 The Final Tear sites have been down for a while to. These will be updated within 1-2 weeks. I will also put up a changes list during next week.

Final Tear 1 1.3 is out!

Changes Final Tear 1 version 1.2B -> 1.3

• Improved the whole script.
• You will now enter the desert Village at the good place depending if you are entering it from the pier or the desert.
• Summons are less influenced by attack.
• Completely redesigned the ice cave dungeon.
• Removed a lot of graphic bugs and incosistisies.
• Improved the damage and defense output for the ultra weapons and all the weapons beyond that. This makes the game a bit easier but the difference is not very huge.
• Redesigned the whole glass building dungeon in 2150
• Increased the initial level of Ashley with 1 and gave added the newest equipment
• Nerfed shockwave slash and sword rain but reduced mp cost in return.
• Rebalanced all the monsters and bosses in the game.
• Reduced mp cost of cure with 1
• Ashley will learn cure 2 on level 20 instead of 21.
• Added more weapons for the girl characters
• Improved the conversations of some NPC’s
• Added a weapon shop in Basker mountain.
• Made the beginning of the game somewhat easier.
• The first boss your teacher, now advises you to be equipped with the 2 swords.
• Renamed a lot of monsters
• The hero will now walk out of houses automatically.
• Improved the graphics on the lava cave in the beginning of the game.
• Added new treasure’s at the lava cave
• Added a tutorial guy for people that never played an rpg game.
• Improved the graphics of some of the houses in the beginning (they still have the retro old school look though).
• Removed the blood slime from the first monster pool.
• Added a skip event possibly at the castle because the event bugs out a lot due rpgmaker.
• Removed the bug that you can walk through the ceiling in the cave to the castle.
• Fixed some spelling errors.
• Removed a bug that you can walk through the tree’s on the world map.
• Moved splee some steps down.
• Removed the monsters in the undercave to the castle before meeting Tiffany.
• Removed the bug that the ladder of the undercave transport u to the middle of the floor below
• Slightly increased the encounters on the 3rd floor tower
• Increased all ethers in mp restoration.
• Moved Tiffany a bit back on the road to the castle
• Moved the save point some tiles up in basker mountain.
• An event is added at basker mountain that transport you back if you did not talk with the mayor
• Corrected the incorrect treasure sprite on the road to the castle
• Removed the bug that you can walk through the tree’s in the basker area
• Added a treasure close to Justin with some ethers
• Removed the bug that the apple event repeats in Robbe forest

Quickpatch to 1.3

The rpgmaker game over bug is happening again. This prevents you a lot of times from proceeding further than the castle scene. With this patch you add an option to skip the scene so that you can play furter.

Also some minor text improvements and some small bugs are fixed. Expect the patch coming out tomorrow or the day after that.
